I don't know why people don't like Nickelback. They play a unique type of rock and I love the hell out of them and I am 57 years old. I have always been a rock music lover and I have lots of CDs and all of Nickelback. I can't wait until the next concert Chad,Mike,Ryan and Daniel, and Timmy.

Also Chad thought it would be a great idea to say metal music is easy to make and that Corey Taylor the lead vocalist of Slipknot can't write a hit song like Chad can and he said Slipknots music is garbage. 98% of the metal community hates Chad and Nickelback as a whole and they probably will never redeem themselves. I, myself hate Chad and Nickelback and will never like them. That being said this song is actually decent, not good, nor great, but decent and shows the potential they could have. I only checked this song out cause some people in the metal community said it was decent.
I'm the same age you are and Black and I've been a Nickelback fan since the days of "How You Remind Me". They've only gotten more diverse and I love it. Good music is good music.

Look2TheSky101 I get what you're saying, but I also disagree with what you're saying too. I met Nickelback with "The State," an album I still love to this day. Silver Side Up is a good album, The Long Road is a decent album. All the Right Reasons has some kick ass tracks, but falls a bit flat overall. Dark Horse is where I started to get a bit annoyed. They started to feel stale. Yeah there were still some good songs, I'd Come For You and Just to Get High especially. Here and Now started off with 3 great songs, and ended great too, but the stuff in between was bland and repetitive, excepting a few songs. Then No Fixed Address came around and I almost fucking lost it. It started off awesome, with Million Miles an Hour, and followed up with the decent Edge of a Revolution. After that, I disliked every single song. Especially the horribly cheesy "Miss You."
This song however, really gets me excited. Feels like a more modern approach to "The State." I've been a fan for a while. Just haven't liked many of their songs over the last few albums.

The lyrics, while pretty baseline “evil government is evil”, are the most interesting and thought provoking they’ve written so far. This is the closest to metal they’re most likely ever get. I think if they weren’t obsessed with maintaining a general audience vibe and actually put in more work they could be a decent metal band.

Nickelback dominate! I find it hilarious that they're known as one of the 'hated bands'. They sell records (in this day and age), they sell out concerts and have an enormous fanbase still after 2 decades or so. Loving their new shit.
They easily tour 18 month stretches. This last time, they toured a whopping 19 months, announced they'd be taking time off for a month or two. Literally 2 days later, Chad tweets out they couldn't stay home and booked 4 more friggin months of shows! DO these guys ever freakin breathe?! Lol
