I love the fact that we defeat the mastermind; a cold and calculating man whose plan was set in motion more than 10 years ago unnoticed and was almost completely succeded, with the power of bullshit full AA style just to disrespect the man as much as possible.
Not quite. A running theme in AA is usually about how hatred, greed or sometimes both can corrupt even the best of people. Such as Enoch Drebber and Mael Stronghart/Vortex. Who both had good intentions, but one let hatred and lust for revenge take over, while the other got way too greedy. Wanting more and more power with haste to do good, without thinking more of what vile actions they were committing just to get his power. Strongharts greed is what ultimately led to his downfall. (note, not defending him. Despite him truly wanting crime to decrease, his methods are beyond disgusting).
@@Unknown-xx7ft Stronhart ruined Drebber and also destroyed Courtneys live
@@Unknown-xx7ft From the point he started trying to hide the fact that klint was the professor, he already just didnt
@@felixleidig8307 he truly believed the end justified the means.
@@Unknown-xx7ft We defeat Stronghart through the use of instant voice communication and holograms. In ~1899. Sholmes essentially put a bug in that rabbit doll in a time where telegraphs were the fastest means of communication. And somehow was able to broadcast holographic images of himself and Iris to the courtroom. That case is won through AA bullshit. It's glorious bullshit, but it's still bullshit.
Ryuunosuke: Stronghart! Is that a state secret?
Stronghart: I have done nothing.
Sholmes: I'm calling the queen!
Queen Victoria: Buckingham Palace, what's your emergency?
they literally just went and tell his mama about his wrongdoings 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Stronghart: Sholmes, is that the queen? I'm calling the state secrets!
"The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodou"
More like "The Resolve of her Majesty the Queen"
Yeah, I was thinking about how the title was kind of weird, too. I mean, a lot of the gang helped to get the true Reaper caught, and so, I don’t get why the title just focuses on Naruhodou. It should focus on all of them, all of their efforts- if anything, it should be called, “Great Pursuit ~ All of Our Resolves, Together!”
@@inkterstellar Perhaps much was at stake and in the end, only he could present the evidence for Holmes to deliver the last blow with iris.
@@theblacklion4003 That is true, though at the same time, if everyone wasn’t there helping to get Vortex arrested/keep the trial going, he would have gotten away. That’s why I think the title should include them all instead of just Naruhodou, because if he didn’t have all of their combined efforts there helping him, Vortex would have won.
@@inkterstellar Can't argue there.
The reason this theme called "The Resolve of Ryunosuke Naruhodou" is because it based on his main objection theme. And if he doesn't use that evidence, there is no resolve at all. It is a Deus Ex Machina, yes, but it is also make sense in the context. The only thing doesn't make sense at all is Herlock's hologram thing.
This is quite literally the most satisfying song in the entire franchise wtf
For me it’s The game is afoot!
But still a close second!
When you thought you got away with your murder conspiracy but Vicky is not amused
Is this moment bullshit? Yes. It’s the most distilled form of pure, unfiltered ace attorney bullshit and I LOVE IT.
Sholmes: "I'm currently standing in the gardens of *Buckingham Palace."*
My brain, instantly: I know exactly where this is going.
My jaw, accordingly: 'ight, imma head out
When the officers tried to detain hologram sholmes i lost it lol
Yeah Sholmes was four parallel universes ahead from the beginning
His stupid dance had me rolling
@@dalilbaby4238 The dance of a man who knows he has completely obliterated his obstacles and the obstacles of his friends
Dude I took the Naruhodo brain and instantly forgot what Buckingham Palace was but knew it was special lol.
when you realize you played an ace attorney game without being spoiled
God I only managed to experience this with the first two games of the original trilogy but it was amazing.
it was going fine and all until i was spiraling down the bop that is the great ace attorney 2 ost playlist and desk slam video
Impossible
its a miracle if you can play this game without spoilers. i was incredibly lucky
I did too, it was really easy actually. It's a technique called "don't read the comments", other people should really try it.
(I'm not talking about you, I mean in general too many people check comments of a series with more than one entry and think somehow spoilers won't crop up somewhere)
“‘A new Pursuit for Resolve!’ was the starting point for this piece. But to me, ‘A Great Turnabout’ was already it, so I tried going down a different tangent and wound up with a Pursuit-style arrangement of Ryuunosuke’s theme. So, how did I do? I hope I succeeded in making you shout, ‘YES!’ the moment it started playing.”
-Kitagawa
it did make me scream YES
I notice you put these quote on soundtracks here and there, that's nice
It's certainly the single most heroic track in the franchise.
I screamed "YES!" and started crying lmao
the combination of phoenix's pursuit theme and ryunosuke's objection made me scream, yeah
YEAH BABY, LOCALIZATION!
I like how being a "Great Pursuit" implies that it's something even larger than pursuit, where you use logic and evidence to get the culprit. But no, this time, you need something bigger, MUCH bigger.
_Super spoilers_
I mean, if you consider the case up to this point, what _can_ you do? Stronghart covered almost ALL of his tracks except Klint's will. When you got it, that should be it, right? His name is on it, accusing him of being the reaper. But no, even with that, Stronghart had technically done NOTHING that can be punished by the law, and he still has many allies, maybe even more that he can turn to his side.
It takes literally something extraordinary to close the case and make Stronghart pay for his crimes, and that's where Holmes comes in.
I think it's just because the game is called the great ace attorney?
@@yuwu585 eh, the first one isn’t called great pursuit. I think the comment makes a fair point
you missed the chance to call it great spoilers instead of super spoilers
@@twosoup3252 I mean it is called "The Great Turnabout" lol
Holmes did nothing, but Sholmes did a lot.
ADJOURNED! ADJOURNED! ADJOURNED! ADJOURNED!
COURT IS ADJOOOUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRNNNNNNNEDDDDD!!!!!
I fucking swear, this has been so fucking satisfying to hear when Vortex’s influence was destroyed, plus with the orders of Her Majesty, everything came down perfectly
I just wanna tell u this.
Fuck you for spoiling this game for me.
I finished it, but still. Fuck you
@@darkkiller_2127 you should never look in the comments in these kind of videos
@@darkkiller_2127 And I end up being spoiled on stuff for uploading the soundtracks...
@@darkkiller_2127 this theme literally ONLY plays at the very end, when the final culprit is exposed, why the fuck would you be looking through the comments of a theme you've never heard in-game? im against spoilers too but come on man, this is definitely on you
@@Trep3 I thought it was the pursuit theme of the 2nd game.
Like how questioning is to cornered
The Pursuit Cornered of the DGS franchise
@Fall well, yeah. It’s a remix of -nosuke’s Objection! Theme used for an ultimate stand.
that would be the great turnabout
I love how they keep the really good music for the most epic moments in this game. Prelude to Pursuit doesn't play before Case 2, and the music just gets more and more epic further in, with this one at the ultimate climax.
In other games the old Pursuit theme is played, which you've heard for four cases before. GAA is just sooo good.
Yes they really need to take a hint from this soundtrack for the main games. T&T did it well but this kind of thing completely disappeared from the main series after that. I was fully expecting some kind of extra pursuit theme for SoJ's final case, but it didn't happen.
@@MoggetslittlesisterThere’s an edit someone made of Apollo’s big moment of pursuit in SoJ’s final case with the music it FREAKING DESERVES, i.e.: Overtaken from AA4, exactly what T&T did. It’s perfect, and exactly what should have been done in the actual game.
Honestly, the fact that Stronghart used the very thing that allowed you to put him in that position in order to escape was genius.
The Resolve of Victoria Ex Machina
It’s Sholmes Ex Machina, actually.
So this is basically if Gumshoe rang up the governor of Japanifornia at the end of Rise from the Ashes
"Unfortunately for you Chief Gant, i have been on a speakerphone call with ALL OF JAPANIFORNA"
The resolve of Ryunoske Narohodo? This should be renamed to The dancing of hologram Sholmes
The most sastifying music in the game. hell, maybe in the the entire ace attorney series ever.
Theme of Get His Ass
this really feels like ryunosuke’s moment for resolve. hearing this, you know that ryunosuke has succeeded both as a lawyer and in his resolve to push through this grueling final case. forever will be my favorite pursuit theme and maybe song in general, for the absolutely AMAZING feeling it gives every time it plays.
This track, Great Pursuit ~ The Resolve of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, plays during The Resolve of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, which is the last case of the game Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: The Resolve of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke. :P
It's Great Ace Attorney inception.

I was truly in shock when I heard this for the first time. And I've forever tapped Sherlock's dance to this song !

Dat Objection 2004 callback before the loop.
went22 what are you talking about?
I think he mean there is a section of the music that came from the Objection 2004 in TT.
which part?
it's Objection! 2001
since 2004 is a remix of 2001 may be confusing
but i can say without a doubt that it is a remix of Objection! 2001
@@EpicRedCondor I thought it was Objection! 2015
Yeah, I can only hear Objection! 2015. 2001 nor 2004 is heard anywhere.
I was only disappointed to realize that the great turnabout this song plays during in wasn't what I at all expected or wanted, but it still made me shout "YES!" in my head.
Yeah, I wish they had actually shown up with the Queen instead of doing one of the biggest asspulls in Ace Attorney history. But I understand why they did it, so they didn't have to make another model.
@@Moggetslittlesister also, they probably won't risk with making another real person (not Japanese), because someone can be offended (still don't understand why anything don't have mad when Iris call she «Vicky»
@@Moggetslittlesister Nah. Not showing the queen signifies that despite everything, it’s still a Sholmes, Naruhodo, and company moment, not the queen’s moment. Her appearance would take away the focus on everyone’s combined efforts and subsequently Stronghart’s breakdown.
I do have to say though I really would have liked them to have brought in a jury of the judiciary for one final summation exam or something. Would have been a cool "final boss"
THE THRILL OF THIS SONG AHHHHH

“I have done nothing wrong” ok but I’m genuinely curious was blackmail/extortion just not illegal at the time? Cause if anyone tried to pull all that today it just wouldn’t work
He was making it up in desperation. Or else the Queen was when she said he would be tried, but that makes no sense, because she's the Queen and why would she need to bluff?
they couldnt prove blackmail/extortion without the final evidence, and that evidence sealed his fate after he said that
I can’t believe what they did with the soundtrack. A special pursuit theme…
And they still didn’t bring back Presto variant cross-examination themes. If only.
I mean... Reasoning battle - beginning counts as a presto, sadly they only used it twice :/
also I’d like to mention Ryuu pulled the evidence quite literally out of his ass for this. Well, not his ass. His head.
Sholmes dance is the ultimate work of art
I first heard this song from a TGAA version of trumpet boy meme. Made before TGAAC was announced, in my head it turned into an anthem for celebrating the localization finally existing.
When this song came up in the game, to me it became an anthem for celebrating victory. It's like some of the hypest purely orchestral pieces I've heard in the myriad games I've played. O)-
What do you MEAN SHOLMES WAS AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE
When you think about it this is a Regina ex machina
this should have been used in the whole game oh my god this is my favourite pursuit theme ever
How do you make a song this sexy
The interesting thing with this is that it was somewhat foreshadowed a bit with the instant kinesis case and Sholmes comment on it.
