In saints row 2 there's also a pirate skeleton behind the mega condo apartment beach which can be related to the pirate ship on the unmarked island Another easter egg is the Jason hockey mask that turns into a skull after you grab it for a while, this is near the toxic lake of mount claflin, in sr2 obv
Honestly the final iceberg point being where Zombie Lin and Carlos come from might make a little sense to a degree. Lin would’ve had to been fished out the river, and the blood on the dirt road, Carlos was still stuck to the truck. Absolutely no evidence for this but decent speculation
Yeah I’m fully aware. He left the project in the hands of another colleague of his who was helping him make the patch. The status of the entire fix is still unknown and volition refuses to give any updates.
Jacques Hennequet (Dev at Volition) has his name in SR1. I think it's near Ben King's Penthouse. It's on a plaque that says he's the founder of Stilwater. I think it would be a cool inclusion in a part 2 video.
Personally what ruins and makes an "iceberg" lose it’s touch and meaning is adding a bunch of easter eggs making it a easter egg video instead of what’s supposed to be an iceberg
One possible entry could've been the idea that Osama Bin Laden was meant to be in place of Cyrus in SR4's prologue. mrsaintsgodzilla21 did a video on it.
23:19, Dual Katanas CAN be obtained without the use of hacks/mods/whatever You just need to get Jyunichi low on HP and if you do the Katana's charged attack (I think it has 2 different ones, but only 1 can damage Jyunichi without having to counter him) and he will sometimes drop the dual Katanas on the ground, you just need to quickly grab them before the cutscene kicks in, however these katanas won't work outside of the mission, if you try to use them on free roam it'll just make you T-Pose. Also on the Freezer we now have a pretty likely explanation by mrsaintsgodzilla21 that recently made a video on it, if you're interested you should check it out. Lastly a fun fact: In SR3 if you have multiple homies and one of them is zombie Gat, if you enter a STAG Condor, sometimes Johnny will swap weapons with a homie, and you can have Zombie Gat with an AR and some other stuff.
The term "GTA Clone" is also used because no other open-world crime game has been able to top or overtake GTA's success. GTA V still holds the record for sales, and has yet to be beaten.
For the Gryphon is Alderman Hughes theory theres even more evidence. During that DLC on one of the missions dex will call you and say "Gryphon isnt who you think he is"
9:48 when I was a kid I was convinced that there was some conspiracy about if johnny didn’t die in saints row 3 that zombie johnny gat must be an imposter and I was convinced that he was for a long time
Shaundi's death in Saints Row the Third was meant to be the canon ending when they were still planning to do the Enter The Dominatrix DLC, with Kinzie meant to be her replacement. But when that got turned into Saints Row IV, they chose the happy ending as the canonical end to SRtT. The other ending is also more in-line with the series' roots, as the "happy ending" is just them accepting their role as sellouts like Ice-T and Snoop Dogg, turning their back on Gat, and becoming joke characters who make movies (before the reboot really did that.) Also, when you make an iceberg video, you really shouldn't make half of it full of "I don't know" and "ummmm" comments, like you're admitting you just stole content from someone else. At least make it _sound_ like you did some research yourself.
My theory on the house is that the Ronin may be torturing someone who owes them money or a rival gang member. Speaking of that, one interesting thing I noticed playing FUZZ missions is that whenever there's a gang fight it's always Ronin vs Samedi, or at least I have never seen Brotherhood being involved. If that's not just my luck, makes me wonder if Brotherhood has some sort of truce or agreement of some kind with either Ronin or Samedi.
Considering that the Ronin and the Brotherhood are the most organized gangs in the game, it makes sense that they have some sort of truce going on. The Brotherhood and the Samedi are also neighboring gangs, so that might be why they're cool with each other too, which explains why the Ronin and Samedi are exclusively always at it. Nice catch on the smaller details!
The only reason why the freezer appears on the Xbox 360 physical copy of the game that I can think of is that the physical release was an earlier build. It's simular to what happenee to the OG Xbox version of True Crime: New York City, the version of the port was shipped with the wrong build of the game, making it glitchy as all hell and pratically impossible to finish, as the mission Human Cargo is unbeatable due to this factor.
@@saints_row_cat I have watched saintsgodzilla's video on The Freezer (which, ironically is how I was introduced to it, shoutout to him), and he said that he hasn't had the issue happen on the PS3, PC, and the Xbox 360 Marketplace versions of SR2, it seems to be the physical Xbox 360 copies of Saints Row 2 that are prone to the Freezer.

Killing Dex in Gat out of Hell got real boring real quick. So much so that as soon as I heard him I ran the other direction so he'd despawn. There was nothing special to it, plus he's in hell meaning he's already dead so where's the satisfaction in that? Then they go about it in the laziest way. I never thought that the SR games were a grind until I played that.
The idea of Saints Row 2 set in the 70s could have some leftovers in the final game as the gangsters outfits are not exactly modern for the 2000s in addition to the funk station and many of the Saints Row 2 cars are classic cars also the Stilwater Police SWAT and FBI are wearing dated outfits and are very similar to the Destroy all Humans 2 Police and Military which are from 1969 the SWAT van in Saints Row 2 is a 70s era van and the blue SWAT APC is actually a very old 1960s Cadillac Gage Commando finally a lot of the store music and even radio commercial themes are easy listening songs from the 60s and 70s most by Gehard Nartholtz and a lot of the pedestrian gang and police dialogue sounds like dialogue from the late 70s and early 80s because the swearing and sex was toned down from SR1 it's really interesting how the leftovers made it into the final game especially the police bike and police boat being from the 60s and 70s despite being set in modern times its really weird
I heard it was supposed to be a prequel about the vice kings in the 80s. hence why sr2 had a lot of 80s tracks and like u said 70s songs as well. all of what u said plus this i really do believe sr2 was meant tk be a prequel

Fun fact Grant Albrect who voiced Crypto in Destroy all Humans voices one of the Caucasian Vice Kings members and the Caucasian Stilwater police officer in Saints Row 1 as his groans and screams were reused from Volitions Punisher game as Grant Albrect voiced the Fisk industry guards and the Fisk industry guards appear to modelled after Crypto as they are bald with shaved heads he also does his Jack Nicholson voice for his Fisk guard but he puts on this really convincing gangster voice for his Vice King character and he puts on a much higher voice for his Caucasian police officer in Saints Row 1 hes really good
On saints row 2 you could get the dual katanas in free roam without the uses of mods but they turn your player into an a-pose instead of using proper animations because they were programmed for junichi
What I meant to say was “it isn’t fully functional without the use of mods”. You can obtain them sure, but they weren’t usable, not unless you were on a bike.

Piggybacking off the eric gryphon & richard hughes theory. Gryphon could be hughes' bastard son that he gave a job in the company. It kinda tracks, hughes was a shady guy, its not out of the realm of possibility that he'd cheat on his wife and have an illegitimate kid.
The pimp slap in SR1 is very possible to get if you use a save game editor or have modded the game to spawn it in the weapon stash or gun store but however you can't unequip it and if you save the game with the pimp slap then your game is forever stuck with that pimp slap as there's no way to remove it. I made a video on my youtube channel using the pimp slap in SP but however Volition forgot to add the knockback and damage thus making it useless in SP but thankfully modders were able to fix this. Also there's an unused vehicle in Saints Row 1 called the baddog which i also made a video of. Also Saints Row 1 was suppose to have a feature to use left handed or right handed weapons but was scrapped as the game had to be rushed out the door quickly.
started playing sr2 again recently and someone fell on the Heron statue at Heron Hotel and it scared me, I was so confused. This video cleared that up so thank you. Kinda eerie there’s multiple suicides in the game
Correction: the Freezer has been confirmed to only ever appear in the original XBOX 360 disk versions of the game. Hence, no digital hunting of it is really possible. Which is why details of it are still largely unknown, as this glitch appears to be limited to the first XBOX version, and investigating it means to go through god knows how many disks. Little correction to my own comment for further clarifications: in theory, it might not be completely exclusive to the original XBOX disc version. But if so, it appears to be exceedingly, ridiculously rare, on other platforms. There's very few evidence of it happening outside of the 360, and some of it looks somewhat questionable, so, make of it what you will. And, if true, the very few who claim to have managed to trigger the bug on other platforms, say that the game doesn't get bricked there, only crashes. The main theory of why it appears to be either exclusively or mostly confined to the 360, being because of the 360 hardware (since the glitch appears to be either ultra rare or non existent also on digital 360 versions). So while in theory investigating it digitally might be a possibility, assuming the evidence is true, the rarity and lessened severity of it do make it much less practical and possibly not as complete.
@@sizzurpmp3 No probs! If it helps, I made a quick edit for further clarification. TL;DR being: in theory, it might not be completely exclusive to the 360, but there isn't a lot of evidence outside about it; and if true, it appears to be exceedingly rare and not as catastrophic.
Great video. One topic I would add is the games timeline. I can't remember every detail, but user jeanpoliko made a video about the story of the series. Basically the only game that helps us track down every game and the year it takes place is SR3, but in the same video it's said how the game has a bunch of just absurd facts like deaths from the same game occurring years apart from each other according to in-game newspapers and files. I recommend that part of the video if you want to make your own take on it
This should have just been called the Saints Row 2 iceberg. Jesus you’d think their was never an SR1 or 3 the way SR2 is spoken about. They really made a GOAT game with 2 and just flopped the rest of the series.
For the Kinzie theory, is it because Cyrus is the one appearing in her simulation in Saints Row 4 despite the fact she barely interact with her ? I think this is the only thing to give that theory.
And I think Zombie Gat is in fact a clone create by the Syndicate to show the body of Gat to the population (they say in the beginning it will be the proof that they are superior) but yeah you have this theory only because Saints Row 4 exists.
@@sizzurpmp3 That game had so many UFO references in it I was sure we would get it. They have a car that looks like a UFO, but it does not fly. Such a shame. Thanks for the reply and heart!
The Dual Katana's ARE obtainable without mods in SR2, I used to do it on my PS3 - they just don't work outside the mission and cause the Playa to T-Pose when you attempt to attack with them.
The Freezer only exists on older Xbox 360 consoles due to hardware limitations. It was due to loading basically all of the maps at once and being in locations too close to those inaccessible maps. A digital copy also does not have this bug, as far as anyone has found.

"That's like calling every first person shooter 'Doom clones'." That's actually a thing as well though, right up until the mid-2000s a lot of FPSes were called Doom clones because a lot of them were still heavily inspired by their predecessors. It wasn't till the Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises that the term became reserved for indie titles intentionally copying the style. Similarly, Saints Row kinda was a GTA clone up until the 4th entry. It had a similar UI, similar fonts, the games played and felt more similar than most modern open world games at the time.

I wish they would remaster the first 2, start over from there. or at least remaster and then drop the julius and ben king prequel. the 70’s soundtrack they could have would be amazing smh. the remaster should look like Saints Row the 3rd POWER trailer. so simple matter of fact don’t remaster it rebuild the game entirely from scratch and keep all the script and cutscenes.
33:02 I have seen something in underground stilwater. I wasn't recording because I was on xbox 360 (which to my knowledge has no way to save clips without software) and i was only like 11 years old but I remember a distant ped spawning right next to me walking which scared the shit out of me then it turned towards me started the number 1 emote but despawned like half way through the emote and it absolutely scared me
I had a similar experience with it ages ago and even caught footage of it occurring in the SRTT Remaster. It's on my channel to boot.
I believe the ending that you choose to kill killbane it could be the starting of the Red faction’s universe.
Interesting theory. I could see that working
Do you think STAG wasn’t completely destroyed but they end up becoming to known as EDF (Earth Defence Force) from Red faction?
@@uncleblaine1433 I need to brush up on my Red Faction lore a bit more, but It’s possible that since STAG succeeded in the Kill Killbane universe, they could’ve spun off as another entity in Red Faction, so it’s definitely a possibility.
I’d consider any ending prior to Red Faction because of Ultor being plastered everywhere
I remember flying over the ultor building and seeing a random npc say watch them laugh now and jump and never saw it again
rip to my man lmao
Awesome to see more Saints Row content, especially when it's getting into the more unknown and crazy things in the series. Keep up the great work man!!
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
This video already a Saints Row classic i can feel it.
In saints row 2 there's also a pirate skeleton behind the mega condo apartment beach which can be related to the pirate ship on the unmarked island
Another easter egg is the Jason hockey mask that turns into a skull after you grab it for a while, this is near the toxic lake of mount claflin, in sr2 obv
Starting with WWE2K17, you’re able to set Stilwater as a hometown for your custom wrestler.
Honestly the final iceberg point being where Zombie Lin and Carlos come from might make a little sense to a degree. Lin would’ve had to been fished out the river, and the blood on the dirt road, Carlos was still stuck to the truck. Absolutely no evidence for this but decent speculation
I’m glad you see it that way too! Even if that isn’t the case, it’s still fun to theorize about it
to my knowledge the one guy who was working on fixing SR2 and making the patch has died, unsure if he passed on the torch to others
@@TotallyNotKanye Eh. It's not a big lore addition or mystery, but I wouldn't exactly call it an Easter Egg either. It's somewhere in the middle.
@@R3fug333 whatever that makes you feel better
One possible entry could've been the idea that Osama Bin Laden was meant to be in place of Cyrus in SR4's prologue. mrsaintsgodzilla21 did a video on it.
That would make a great topic for a part 2
23:19, Dual Katanas CAN be obtained without the use of hacks/mods/whatever
You just need to get Jyunichi low on HP and if you do the Katana's charged attack (I think it has 2 different ones, but only 1 can damage Jyunichi without having to counter him) and he will sometimes drop the dual Katanas on the ground, you just need to quickly grab them before the cutscene kicks in, however these katanas won't work outside of the mission, if you try to use them on free roam it'll just make you T-Pose.
During that DLC on one of the missions dex will call you and say "Gryphon isnt who you think he is"
You're right! wish we've gotten a definitive answer to that question.
absolutely fantastic video bro also, there was cut dialogue from carlos, revealing his brother died defending the church
Wow really? Why would they cut that and would it be considered canon to begin with? I'm happy you liked the video bro!
9:48 when I was a kid I was convinced that there was some conspiracy about if johnny didn’t die in saints row 3 that zombie johnny gat must be an imposter and I was convinced that he was for a long time
Your theory ended up coming true in the long run lol
Shaundi's death in Saints Row the Third was meant to be the canon ending when they were still planning to do the Enter The Dominatrix DLC, with Kinzie meant to be her replacement. But when that got turned into Saints Row IV, they chose the happy ending as the canonical end to SRtT. The other ending is also more in-line with the series' roots, as the "happy ending" is just them accepting their role as sellouts like Ice-T and Snoop Dogg, turning their back on Gat, and becoming joke characters who make movies (before the reboot really did that.)
Also, when you make an iceberg video, you really shouldn't make half of it full of "I don't know" and "ummmm" comments, like you're admitting you just stole content from someone else.
It's simular to what happenee to the OG Xbox version of True Crime: New York City, the version of the port was shipped with the wrong build of the game, making it glitchy as all hell and pratically impossible to finish, as the mission Human Cargo is unbeatable due to this factor.
do you thibk i can find the freezer on ps 3
@@saints_row_cat
I have watched saintsgodzilla's video on The Freezer (which, ironically is how I was introduced to it, shoutout to him), and he said that he hasn't had the issue happen on the PS3, PC, and the Xbox 360 Marketplace versions of SR2, it seems to be the physical Xbox 360 copies of Saints Row 2 that are prone to the Freezer.
There’s a line that Carlos says in the files where he mentions his brother was on the first Saints and died shortly after joining
I wasn’t sure whether or not to add it in considering it’s a cut piece of dialogue and it’s arguably non-canonical now
Who else remembers walking around the mall for 2 irl hours looking for a specific store, for me it was leather and lace, every time I made a new character and wanted to get my biker look without fail I’d walk by every store but not find it
bro you deserve way more subs putting content out like this
Stilwater uses a mix of a few other Midwest states Michigan and Minnesota seems to be the biggest of the bunch the best Saint's Row games are in Stilwater
"I didn't even know Poland had a rap scene, i thought their musical taste consisted of old folk songs and yodels or some shit" - that's the most american sentence I heard lately.
Btw I have this collector's edition.
The funny thing is, the column with the bloody doors is right about where the original safehouse in the first game was located. Always thought that was rather odd...
21:50 Yeah, "Dragons" is a reference to the cut SR IV vehicle, which was a fully animated dragon
Fun fact about bling-bling: the jewelry store in sr2 is called bling bling and their advertisements point out how try hard it is

Wakeup sizz just made new video!
Really enjoyed this. Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks homie, I’m really glad you enjoyed it!

Piggybacking off the eric gryphon & richard hughes theory. Gryphon could be hughes' bastard son that he gave a job in the company. It kinda tracks, hughes was a shady guy, its not out of the realm of possibility that he'd cheat on his wife and have an illegitimate kid.
The most obscure and disturbing part of the saints row iceberg, is the part, that references the reboot.
Its funny people called sr a gta clone when gta turned into an sr3 clone, years later.
They have side mission in V tow the truck lol while ŠR2 did it in 3 King first

"And then THQ scrapped it" is the real lore behind saints row
started playing sr2 again recently and someone fell on the Heron statue at Heron Hotel and it scared me, I was so confused.
Thanks for the clarification dawg! I’ll be sure to shout you in the updated video.
I recommend that part of the video if you want to make your own take on it
I actually already made a similar sounding video on the SR timeline a few years back.
@@sizzurpmp3 cool, i'll go check out
This should have just been called the Saints Row 2 iceberg. Jesus you’d think their was never an SR1 or 3 the way SR2 is spoken about. They really made a GOAT game with 2 and just flopped the rest of the series.
Did you not watch the video? lmfao
@@sizzurpmp3 I did. What I said is not a shop at the video creator but a way to say the creators GOATED on SR 2 and then dropped the ball

The Dual Katana's ARE obtainable without mods in SR2, I used to do it on my PS3 - they just don't work outside the mission and cause the Playa to T-Pose when you attempt to attack with them.

21:45 love the South Park music here, altough I'm sure whats being referenced is Puff the rideable Dragon that was cut from Saints Row 3/4.

Appreciate it fam! You’re a true G
The Freezer only exists on older Xbox 360 consoles due to hardware limitations. It was due to loading basically all of the maps at once and being in locations too close to those inaccessible maps. A digital copy also does not have this bug, as far as anyone has found.
I had a theory about Cyrus temple could it be possible that Jessica from saints row 2 could be Cyrus temples daughter because in sr3 he mentions Jessica about her life before the boss killed her by her own bfs car but it could be a crazy possibility that kenzie could be Jessica sister they have similar comparisons but ones dumb and ones smart in most families they have at least one smart sibling and one black sheep but it could be a possibility there is a connection
That could explain why Cyrus Temple joined STAG in the first place, you're definitely on to something here
21:46 i think this is refering to one of the developers playing a livestream session in sr3 and he talked about how the team wanted to implement dragons in the game but was scrapped due to difficulties

"That's like calling every first person shooter 'Doom clones'."
That's actually a thing as well though, right up until the mid-2000s a lot of FPSes were called Doom clones because a lot of them were still heavily inspired by their predecessors.
It wasn't till the Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises that the term became reserved for indie titles intentionally copying the style.
Similarly, Saints Row kinda was a GTA clone up until the 4th entry.
It had a similar UI, similar fonts, the games played and felt more similar than most modern open world games at the time.
hate that i’m so late seeing this. i already know this is gonna be a banger.
I’m kinda disappointed you didn’t cover the original saints row 3 entry, very interesting as it would’ve included parkour. Which I think you can find pieces of it when vaulting on obstacles and such.
Yeah, I wasn’t very satisfied with this video as I glossed over a ton of stuff. I’m planning on remaking it sometime later this year using an updated iceberg with even more entries. I’ll make sure the original SR3 gets its chance in the spotlight this time around!
