Reason why I bought was the camera and now I believe its time to say good bye haha It served well till now but seeing other phone cameras like s23 ultra I think that would be a great replacement.
Bought my P20 Pro from Ebay in Aug 2023 - what a stella phone this still is - mainly using ot for its monochrome camera which is exceptional and so much better than a B&W Filter! Comparing pics from my P20 Pro to my Pixel 7 - barely any difference! Its a shame huawei doesnt support its software anymore, would love to see how it coped with the latest Android!
5 years ago I decided to upgrade my old and grumpy S3 Mini with this beautiful phone... 5 years later is still such a great phone and I'm not planing to change it until... it's unusable and grumpy. It will be such a sad day when the day will come cuz right now it looks like it did on its first day - no scratches, no sounding problem, no dust or any other time added problems! Worth every penny I've spent in 2018!
Just got mine fixed after the screen broke due to another person's mistake who paid for the replacement... I took the chance to also replace the battery for €25 at a local Chinese tech shop, now it looks new... It is an amazing phone, the only thing lacking is a software update. I am looking now at the Pixel 8 or 8 Pro (Or the Nubia Z50S PRO!! Check it out!) as a future replacement.

I've recently grown bored of my iPhone 12 Pro and thought I would dig out my old p20 Pro and see what it was like. I am honestly blown away by the quality of the screen. I highly recommend taking off the factory included screen protector, it makes a world of difference. I was going to buy a new phone but I think I'll just use this one for a while.

My 2019 P20 non-Pro developed a pregnant battery this morning, so after quickly switching back to my old P10 Lite (which I still love using - why can't they put the fingerprint sensor on the back of everything), I started shopping around for a replacement. Being out of the loop, and not wanting to go over £600, I was finding it very difficult to make a decision, until a work colleague mentioned that he had a mint P20 Pro that I could have for £80. So, that's me sorted. All I need is a good camera (I bought the P20 to save me having to lug a DSLR and bag of lenses around the Hawaiian islands, which I'd been doing for years. I like it when everything I need fits in my pockets), and whilst the Samsung S22 and Pixel 6a, which fall within my budget, have "better" cameras, I don't think the difference is significant enough to justify spending and extra £500+.

I'm not writing from Huawei p20 pro but I have one. It's still a great phone, I was looking for a replacement phone because I have problem connecting it to my pc via cable. But I can't find any better for a price that would be justifiable.
I bought this phone from my friend like 6 months ago, honestly this phone is so good for it's time and still a really good midrange phone today. Furthermore it still has google support
Currently using my p20 basic, still doing great, my 128gb memory is running out, and the battery is starting to discharge quicker, but still it's doing great
Still got mine and works well, though as a back up to P30 pro. Finding it hard to justify and upgrade. Sure there is better tech out there, but do I need it when these phone do all that I need.
Bought this day of release so it's 5+ years old today, the battery goes fast nowadays even without using it, after a full charge and unplugging in the morning it has 40% by 2pm
I have enjoyed Huawei P20 pro till this summer and was considering upgrading to another P series. Was very upset with the outcome and lack of variety in mobile devices on the market. Ended up going back to Apple
Still using p20 pro camera is great nothing really change it kinda slow a bit because I've been using this phones for games and it's still great but a bit slow when temperature is high if you just have a lens for a phone you can take photo of the moon easily
For some reason, I feel like the camera quality on my P20 Pro has gone down over the years. Even though I recently cleaned my lenses, what could cause this?

My P20 Pro mobile data has just stopped working, (took its durability for granted, dropped it 1000 times) absolutely gutted, 5 years still get a day's battery of hard use, I might even buy a refurbished/second hand to replace, either that or Pixel 7a, I'm going to keep this old mate for the camera anyway

To be fair. I just dug mine out to see how it performed in comparison to my s21 and iPhone 12 . It was a beast back in the day . Fully useable today (I'm typing this on it) I did replace the rear glass on mine twice and ended up changing the battery before I upgraded due to swelling . But it's flawless now. Not a flagship by today's standards .but it was an amazing phone for its time to still perform this well in 2023

It's still a great phone. The Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro ran great in my use too! Trouble after those models you get no google services ☹️

Mine is rebooting sometimes.. sometimes shut off and take some time to reboot again.
Had to buy a S23 with a great price here, in Brazil.

Even though has a bit of lag it aged realllly well. Probably p30 it s more realistic now

Biggest advantage of the p20 pro imo was taking pictures by night. Great results.

You get pick up refurbished ones in great condition for £150 or less. Still worth it in my opinion!

I’ve reviewed my fair share of older pixels and I loved them, the 6a was great so I’d imagine the 7a will be a great phone too!
