I like your delivery and info. I can tell you know what you're doing. Letting the water stand though, doesn't get rid of all the chemicals. Chloromides, fluorides and allum are left behind. The only way to get rid of most them is RO or really good filters. I know this through my aquariums.
Great information. My Philo irrespective of variety never do well in soil (I use peat moss, lot of pumice stones). Sphagnum is costly here in my place. And I am struggling to grow them in soil medium. Especially in summer there root rot like end of stem it turns yellow.. So I just now grow them in water.. They grow so well in water.. But I am desperate to grow them. In pots.
It needs to climb a really tall moss pole to have leaves exponentially grow bigger. It does need humidity and it should acclimate to your place given you are in a tropical environment, if not.. you need a humidifier and at least above 70% humidity
I was in search for one for about a year and forgot about it. Then randomly found it at Target for $15! Its beautiful. However my leaves are getting tiny idk why! Making me sad. The original leaves are big but the new ones up top are tiny and look like they're struggling. Not sure. I checked the roots and not rotted. It's in medium bright indirect. Hmmm. Humidity?
Great tips. Yes I love, love it, my new favorite house plants. Happy growing!

Hi there, I have had this Philodendron for a few years now, and all I can get is very small leaves. Do you find this plant needs alot of humidity?

If it’s not climbing up a pole it’s bound to happen, and yes humidity
