  • This is an in-depth care guide with the beautiful Philodendron brandtianum with its gorgeous silver foliage. This is a very easy and fast growing philodendron to care for so long as you let them acclimatize to your space. In this video I propagate them many ways (in water and soil), and show you an update on the propagates at the end!

I’m in Michigan, USA. I keep my Brandtianum outdoors in the summer on a covered porch where it thrives, growing roughly 7 large leaves per month. It really slows down during the winter when I have to bring it inside. My suggestion to anyone who has humid summers...put this plant outside. It does best in humid outdoor conditions and this will help it limp along throughout the winter.

I came to this video because I'm in FL and I have a tiny Brandi that I saved from one leaf. She now has several but it's small. The other plants I put outside do amazing so I was wondering if I should put her out and then I read your comment, she is outside now. Wish me luck! They loooove the humidity here, not me so much but well LOL

Like the first time I watered them in 2022 was in the beginning of march and the last time they were watered was before Christmas. They looked the same as they did in the fall. Even a few new leaves popped up. The humidity wasn’t great either so there’s that
