    I got hooked and subscribed after watching the adansonii variegated video. Appreciate you combined multiple months into one video rather than split into 4-5 videos updates of one topic. Same with this video and many of your videos. Very cool plant guy and great videos!

    I had a gorgeous 3 leaved plant and I rotted it so badly. I took bad advice and was keeping it moist and in a terrarium. Now we’re down to one node and one leaf, living in my prop box. I can’t wait for it to regrow.

    Have you ever tried growing out wetsticks in a transparent box with mos? This way they get a more stable environment and you do not have to water them at all. I have alsmost 100% success with this method. I am so sad when I see your wetsticks die :(

    When your plants get leggy like that do you typically prop it up and only keep the top cut? I'm wondering what to do about my leggy upright philodendron birkin

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  3 года назад +2

      Best to propagate it haha. You can air layer the top and cut single node wet sticks for the middle and leave 2 lowest bare nodes, in hope that it will put out two vines from below

  • @PhoenixFyreRising

    Hi Sean... Just want to let you know that the Burle Marx Fantasy leave are longer than you said. My plants leaves so far are 9"-10" long and still growing. Thought you would want to know.

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  3 года назад +1

      Whoaaaaa I wonder if they can grow longer than that. Im consistently proven wrong by their max size haha. Few weeks ago I saw micans bigger than my face

    • @henne1917
      @henne1917 3 года назад

      Wow, that´s huge. Does it form new leaves from cataphylls? And what about the growth pattern, does a plant of this size still have this semi-shingle pattern, like small plants?

    • @PhoenixFyreRising
      @PhoenixFyreRising 3 года назад +1

      @@henne1917 It just put out two more leaves. I bought my plant from "Steve Leaves." A very well-known seller with excellent plants and you get only the best. I have never received a tiny 2-leaf plant. They are always bigger and healthier. I still haven't repotted it as they advised me to wait for one month before doing so so it is still in a 3" pot, lol. But I had to place this small pot in a bigger one to hold the weight. I wish I could post pictures of it. You would be amazed at the size of the leaves. I will repot next week though since I had it about that long. The growth does resemble the Monstera Dubia in the way it grows. It does king of shingle. I will probably put it on a flat-type moss pole that I will make for it.

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 года назад +1

      Could be due to insufficient light or nutrients. Maybe it didnt latch onto a moss pole properly. Or maybe you didnt give the leaf anough time to expand to its full size. Their new leaves usually stay small for a while before expanding
