While I will indeed never forgive you for this not being a Hoya video, I could also watch you do literally anything. Like yaass king take us to the grocery store next😍😍💅
Hi , your Burle Max is special, coz it has orange stem, and more vivid color, its either mutation or has bilitae gen, its hype in my country Indonesia ,for being cheaper version of "bilitiae varigata", but it also quite rare here and price 5x of regular burle max., im doing research on it for my next video
This may be totally boring…but I love white flowers and bought 2 big white poinsettias at the holidays - fell out of love with them pretty quickly, but now I have these huge pots and can’t quit bring myself to throw them away. I want someone to love them, even though I don’t.
One plant I was head over heals to get was a Stromanthe Triostar. I’ve had it for a couple years and don’t care for it now because I never could get it to look like the beautiful ones on the videos. Loved your video. I like the look of the smaller ones you chopped up. It’s easier to appreciate the leaves on it. Plus . . . Space.
Do you trim off those massive aerial roots when you prop them? I do love hoyas the most, but this was fun to watch, too. And I'm not that invested in this plant, so it didn't hurt at all to see it being cut up 😄 Early in my houseplant journey, I really wanted some plants that I remembered seeing along the way and thought were neat or I had a good memory attached to. One of those was a kalanchoe 'mother of thousands.' I fell out of love pretty fast after all the babies were literally everywhere. In every pot of everything. And then my feelings transitioned into hate. The mother got composted, and I gave away all the babies I could with fair warnings. HERE. ENJOY. EXCEPT YOU'LL HATE IT.
Soo scary!! But yay! More plants! 😂💜 I think philodendron Brandi is the one that has proved to be not as amazing as I thought it would be. But I think I have finally got a leaf that didn’t get stuck! Miracles DO happen! 😂
Great video -- I could not chop my plant like that with so many roots on it! As for plants that I liked before buying, but now they are meh to me, I have two: Philodendron Verricosum and any kind of prayer plant! Verricosum just get leggy and are spider mite magnets. Prayer plants just won't grow for me and they grow a bit awkwardly for me.
I’m re-“listening” to the wheel of time. Currently on book 3. Even the second time around it’s so so good!! I would enjoy African violet content, as I have been really getting into them lately!🤪
I am listening to it for the first time! I listened to 20 chapters in 3 days, but I have been busy in the past 4 days so I miss it a lot! I hope I can make that corner happen :)
For me I will get hate mail for this but my Pink Princess Philodendron. She is gorgeous but a diva and with over 600 plants in the greenhouse I don’t have time for drama!
I have a green Burle Marx. I don’t understand the growth pattern at all. It’s a beautiful plant but I like your variegated one better 🥰 Philodendron Grazielae I thought I was going to love. The thing grows so weird I hate it now.
I prefer my green one to this one 😂 I like this one as a small plant much more. If it grew like the green one, I would like it more, but this grows very compact and tight together!
Thank you! It was like watching an action thriller :D I didn't have any problems when I transfered mine from semi hidro to coco peat and perlite mix, hopefully these will not act up either. They grow like weeds.
Since you don't love it anymore, feel free to send me a cutting! I'm happy to take one off your hands. ;) My love then hate plant would be any aglaonema's... they all hate me too.
Oh my goodness, I am totally traumatized! I want this plant so bad but the cost is a bit too high for me. I still love your channel even though you have given me plantmares!! :]
What is the price there? They came down in prices a lot in EU in the past couple of months, I think you can get one cutting with 2 leaves for probably $30-40, depending where you are, and even less! Sorry for the plant nightmates 😂
I love this plant, but the only one I've seen for sale here costs about my monthly income :))))) so..... i'll wait a few ... hundred years to buy it :))))
Oh really?! I know variegated billietiae is very expensive, but variegated 'Burle Marx' can be found in Europe for less than $50, especially if you want to go for a cutting. Variegated billietiae though costs more than what I earn in a year. 😂🥲
@@BasiePlants I live in Romania. I only saw the plant on one site (granted I didnt search too much) and it's a big one. It's almost 400euros .... so... i'll wait for a cutting :)
@@BasiePlants I know this is a loooong shot, but do you sell and ship cuttings? If so, and I know this video was a year ago, but do you have any cuttings of this plant available? It’s almost impossible to find in my area. This video was a while back for you, but I just saw it. Anyway, just thought I’d ask, and crossing my fingers and toes and eyes.☺️
The plant I really liked but when I got it I then HATED it, is my Philodendron Subhastatum. Ughhh. I gave it a year to change my mind but I still hate it.
Mine has also started to push out smaller leaves, and I assume part of that is because it was so crowded - much tighter than the green version which still pushes out big leaves and grows... more normally, for a 'Burle Marx'. I have seen some grown on poles, but there was no way mine would be able to have a pole. It did grow bigger leaves when it was smaller, but the more leaves it put out, the smaller they got.
My Ficus Triangularis is my new plant that I'm not too terribly happy with. It keeps dropping leaves no matter what I do. I know ficus are prone to leaf drop, the little fucking divas that they are, but really! My Ginseng Ficus I got at the same time hasn't dropped a one.
My Ficus triangularis also dropped all but 2 leaves between winter and spring. Then as the days got longer it has totally leafed out again and is growing. Not sure if I did anything good or bad, I have switched to DI water since my tap water has a lot of minerals.
Thank you! That's encouraging! I didn't think she was going to make it so I went the do or die route. I repotted her and added charcoal and worm castings to the soil. She's only dropped two leaves since then and is just sitting there brooding now. No activity at all. 🤞That's a good sign. She'll throw out a new leaf or drop them all at once and collapse in misery like the Diva she is. I named her Miss Bermuda! Thanks again. Beverly
Peperomia, Syngonium, and Philodendron, no thanks. I tried them and, meh. I like my P prostrata and I like my Philo ‘Brazil’ and Philo ‘Shangri-la’ but that’s it. Oh wait, I like my micans too. Hoyas are my favourite by far.
Omg I actually had a part in this video where I complained how I am disappointed with my Piper sylvaticum and I thought I was going to love it, but when I got it... it just wasn't doing it for me. I cut it out because the video got too long. 😂
No plant youtubers were hurt/ abducted during the recording of this video. 👽🛸
He be rooting!
While I will indeed never forgive you for this not being a Hoya video, I could also watch you do literally anything. Like yaass king take us to the grocery store next😍😍💅
😂😂😂 My grocery shopping is super fast. I go in there with a plan. 😅
Hi Miro ! I really enjoy watching your Hoya ‘Burle Marx’ propagation video 🤣🙈. TBH any plant videos you made it’s always fun watching 🥰
I will begrudgingly enjoy this video in spite of disliking philodendrons very much.
You can enjoy how I cut it mercilessly. 😂
Doing it underwater can help a lot to ease separating the two plants' roots.
What an amazing hoya!!! 🤩😆
Quite invasive one, never blooms! 😂
I had a light fall and behead most of my VBM. That smell of it is very distinct- for me it was like a spicy black pepper smell
Love "Wheel of Time". Good job on the propagation.
Ja poludela, sad vidim ovaj video 😮❤ Ova biljka fenomenalna, ❤
That hoya is gorgeous!
i kept waiting to see a finger drop off into the tray, but fortunately, you disappointed me! Great job. Thanks for the video.
One of my wishlisters! 😍
I do love that plant. Even the yellow leaf.

I love the smaller ones much more! It is kind of lke Hoya polyneura... small cuttings look way cuter than the big plant!
It was very fun to see you struggling behind that big hoya 😁
For me it is the PPP.. Great on photos, boring on the shelf. Loved this video!
Do you trim off those massive aerial roots when you prop them?

H. medinillifolia is definitely one I love the idea of, but wow the care! it is so difficult.
I enjoyed your video very much. Thank you for showing us how to do that that was a lot of work

I think philodendron Brandi is the one that has proved to be not as amazing as I thought it would be. But I think I have finally got a leaf that didn’t get stuck! Miracles DO happen! 😂
My brandtianum just got a pole! I have to fill it with moss and hopefully get it to size up, but it has become one of my favorites!
@@BasiePlants hopefully some day mine will ask for a pole!
I probably would have cut some of the big root tangle off, especially since many got tangled and ripped off during the separation process. 🤷🏻♀️
*yes to more wheel of time talk*

I think the Brandi, it’s beautiful but a pain too grow. 💚😀
A plant I have purchase and fell out of love is the Philodendron pastazanum
For me it was Scindapsus treubii moonlight. I still have it but it is going soon.
I agree mine has been a pain

That plant is beautiful. I love it. I forgive it for not being a hoya.
It is nice, but I like it more when it is smaller. :)
Nice
A Snow Queen pathos. It spends a lot of time getting long runners then the middle leaves die off.

Ei! The stem looks like billitiae😍
A "Budget "Var Billitiae"🤔
Hahahah i like your var burle marx!🤩
Do aerial roots keep their same shape and function if you put them in the dirt or would they just rot?
I liked alocasia when i saw them in pictures but when i got it, it seems that they are not fit for my growing conditions :( so meehhh

String of pearls…….heavenly in theory but in reality feels like a toxic relationship that I keep returning to.
I’m curious. How much would a propagation like yours go for?
Maybe $10 for 2-3 leaves. :)
Oh wow, good price. Thanks!!

any tips on how to get my VBM to size up the leaves?
