50/50 foot sweep
Kyle Cerminara teaches us two take-down's from the 50/50 tie or the "wrestler's clinch" the second one being the 50/50 foot trip. We have been seeing this move a lot in MMA fights recently

I used to have a thick neck and shoulders like him.... then I got arthritis in my spine and shoulder... from training too hard for too long. Enjoy your joints while they still are healthy folks :(
i like this guys wrestling moves for mma...
Awesome videos. I love the 50-50 tie up.
Damn this guy is buff AF'! Good job man
can you make a video on some mma get ups or wall walks please? love you guys' videos!!!,
We will ask coach Kyle for you Isaiah!
love this stuff. simple effective and functional. thanks coach
Simple is what works, right? thanks for checking us out!
nice takedown
So you always sweep the leg on the side of the underhook then, I’ll be trying this tonight, I’ve always struggled with this technique. Oh and subbed guys, love the small digestible videos, learning loads.
Best move in the fucking world.
Great vid! I guess it could be good combo them if the foot sweep doesn't work go straight to the knee tap.
Great combo! Thanks for the input Siawash
beautiful
Could you do the second one on their other leg from the same tie up? Like if you had the left overhook right undertook could you do the foorsweep to their right leg using the same concept
Yes, you can go for the other leg on the 2d technique too. Pull with the L hand on the arm and lever up with the R as in an underhook while stepping out with that circular motion, blocking the leg.
Idk I've been trying to figure out whether to join wrestling or bjj
Wrestling first. Trust me it has helped my bjj tremendously. Plus there's way more benefits to wrestling.
@@rye-bread5236 more benefits to wrestling then jiu jitsu seriously what benefits 😂?? Come on dude. Be real
@@mikewright902 Alright let me list them.
First off the fitness aspect is far more prevalent than in bjj. Wrestlers are on average far stronger and more athletic.
This might be due to bjjs gentle philosophy.
The standing game. I'm not explaining this one. It's common knowledge. Plus 90% of fights go to the ground but 100% of that 90% starts standing.
When you transition to bjj you'll have advantages over your rolling buddies.
You'll do better with top pressure, be a natural at kesa gatami positions (pinning is a good skill)
Also if you train American folkstyle you'll have "footwork" meaning you're good at positioning yourself. Example of this are techniques like the sitout.
If you train Greco roman wrestling. You'll be a freak if you're end goal is mma. Clinch fighting will come natural to you.
If you train freestyle you're going to know how to control the match. You dictate when the fight goes to the ground. They have a wide variety of takedown skills.
Outside of sport bjj does not pay for college. Wrestling scholarships do.
Also being an athlete for your schools gives you privileges.
The biggest reason though. Is I always hear. "I wish I wrestled."
Wrestling helps your bjj. But bjj doesn't help your wrestling as much.
@@rye-bread5236 damn I'm sorry man no love lost, 😂!! There is an advantage of wrestling first no doubt but there is no money in wrestling.period!! and if why you're wrestling you face a jiu jitsu guy he will win that is based on finishing the fight.period$$ first what you know 2nd endurance and third is strength I've been doing this for a while face a lot of wrestlers! They may got a move off for 2 but I submit them$ why do you compare "💪athleticism " to submission?? 😂😎 Technique??
@@rye-bread5236 and it's really not BJJ anymore it's everywhere it's just jiu-jitsu$$
Reza yazdani used to launch guys with this.

The last sweep is Hiza Guruma from Judo. Thanks for applying it to the wrestling.
That's awesome, we use that trip a lot here!
Dirk Diggler well said.
It's Sasae Tsuri Komi Ashi actually because the foot block happens at the foot., to be Hiza Guruma it'd have to hit hit at the knee. Hiza Guruma means knee wheel.
Just wonderful, been searching for "judo throws poster" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Keyandon Judo Process - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cousin got great success with it.
guys this buff shouldn't have such good technique. It just ain't fair.
