- My review of the 1993 arcade game, Metamorphic Force (JP version). This game is a straight up awesome and I had such a fun time playing it. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
NOTE: I messed up in this vid and thought Metamorphic Force used the same engine as Mystic Warriors, where in reality, that is not the case at all, this is via Wikipedia:
"The game mechanics are similar to those of Konami's earlier arcade hit, X-Men, and runs on the same hardware as their ninja-themed game, Mystic Warriors."

I saw the thumbnail and thought "that's obviously clickbait" but then found out, no, it's not at all clickbait. It's real. It really happens like that in the game.

The official name of that character, according to _Konami Amusement Sounds '93...Aki (Autumn)_ , the official compilation album that the _Metamorphic Force_ OST was released on, is the She-Devil of the Coliseum.
Holy shit! There was a pizza place near the high school where I grew up that had a few arcade machines including this one, and I played it all the time when I was a kid. I forgot what it was called and have been trying to remember for years now so thank you for making this video!

Hidden memory unlocked! I played this as a kid in a random pizza place back in the 90s. I always wanted to play it again but didn't know the name because I couldn't read back then! Lol. I'm so glad this popped up in the algorithm!

I love this game! I used to play it in the arcades back in the day. It’s very fun specially with a second player. I then forgot it’s name and lost track of it for a couple of years but once I remembered what it was called I tracked it down on an emulator to relive it all over again. It’s still just as fun as it was back in the day.

I played this at a party thing in college! It was some machine with numerous roms. I always remembered the wolf guy who while in human form had a button solely for swishing his hair with his hand like he's going "I AM FABULOUS!"

Wow man. I pride myself in being a Beat em Up connoisseur, but I never saw this shit my entire life 😂 But it looks exactly like something I would have loved to play as a kid.
And yea, it looks like the mechanics were built on the mechanics of Xmen the Arcade game.

Played this gem in the arcades when it was still relatively new. Loved it for basically everything you note. Great art and animation, great music, fun to play. I never found it easy though, it was a quarter muncher for sure.

I would love to see these Beat'em Up Games come to console. I remember a lot playing of these games in Okinawa at Camp Foster when I was in the Marines.
I was hoping we'd get more after Capcom did that Beat'em Up bundle, but we did not. A Konami Beat'em Up bundle would be amazing.
@@35infinite Capcom needs to put out a 3rd Arcade Stadium. Aliens vs Predator, the Punisher Arcade just to name a few were missing from the roster in the last 2 packages.

You should DEFINITELY check out Violent Storm, because like B-Rap boys, the stages ALL have lyrics in their music, intricate bosses and hilarity all ensue in a pretty cool and challenging beat'em up.
Metamorphic Force has great animation, but it just seems a bit too easy.

@@35infinite different weapons, multiple choice routes, reasonable amounts of pickups, a decent story, a shop as well. =O Mind blowing for its time considering what you could do in a beat em up like that.

At 5:13 there seems to be a character that can be looted. Just like the dwarves in Golden Axe... Think there are a few more similarities between these 2 games, even though Golden Axe was developed by Sega (or Bandai)
