While connected to the cable for Apple CarPlay do you ever get static while playing music or just hearing a text read out to you or having a delay while on the phone?
No. What I do get often is in the cluster a message about Voice Control in use which blocks cluster menu controls so you press the voice button and cancel voice prompt to clear it. Happens 50% or the time plugging in CarPlay. Also happened on a ‘23 Nissan Murano rental I had.
I just got a Nissan frontier 2022 SV model. Will CarPlay connect by Bluetooth? I can’t get it to connect except by plugging in the cable. Thanks for an informative video. God bless
You can get a CarPlay wireless adapter but also I found out the hard way that Nissan used inferior chips in their head units and some (mine included) will make the audio choppy while using any navigation simultaneously
Thanks for the walk through. I have a 2023 Frontier SV with the tech and convenience packages. When the cross traffic alert sounds, it's just one short beep. In vehicles of other makes, the alert will produce several beeps making sure that it's heard. If you have the radio on, it's easy to miss the cross traffic beep. Have you had this experience? On a different note, I have had a few situations were I get back into the truck, plug my i phone in and I don't hear any audio but, the audio bar shows (at the top of the infotainment screen) a mid range setting. I have tried rebooting the phone and the no sound situation remains. When I turn off and restart the truck, then the audio returns. Have you had an experience like this?
Cross traffic alert makes just one beep but it also will stop you from backing out if you try at that time. Have not had any audio problem, but about half the time I plug in my iPhone the dash will show a voice controls message that blocks from changing the in dash display until I press the voice button and then cancel it.
I have a 2022 frontier pro x when I turn the vehicle off I still have power to the radio and windows till I open driver's door, the windows still open but the radio shuts off, dealer says it's not supposed to do that. But can't fix it????
Wow, I wish mine did that. It’s how my VW behaves (what you described, acc power cut when driver door opens). You won’t be able to ‘fix’ that and it might be a mid year change in design.
Sounds normal to me, my 2023 Frontier does it. If you do not open a door the radio will continue to play for approx. five minutes then shut off. If you open a door, it goes off. You can also use the power windows. GM has had the same feature for over a decade, they call it the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) circuit. Not sure what Nissan calls it.
Sirius/XM sucks and is over priced in Canada, you have to call them just before subscription expires to get any deal, or else they charge you full price for the next year. If you cancel, they bug you for 6 or more months to get you to sign back up.
I’ve not paid for Sirius since it expired and the remote services for lock/unlock etc still work. But yeah, once they get your info it’s relentless for resign attempts.
I had bought a lifetime subscription way back ( with XM) and purchased a portable receiver to dock at home and a car base connector.. I just need to figure if I can split the incoming antenna to the car dock and maybe the usb C connector for audio in?
The Sirius/XM for listening to music is a different service than the features of Nissan connect. So why even mention that. And why in the world would anyone with half a brain need to watch you, when playing with the head unit for about five minutes learns you everything you need to know, or read the manual for 10 minutes and all is learned. Wasted video. but every one enjoy.
I do these for all the people who do not have access to a new car or truck to try the infotainment features. People don’t read the manual, but they will watch videos. The view count proves that.
I have a 2022 pro 4x same truck as yours and I can't connect wireless. Please help, I don't know what else to do, I tried everything.

No, it’s wired only. You can do Bluetooth wireless calling or music, but that is not the same as CarPlay.

How did you get less preset channels? On mine I have 36 presets. I don’t need all of them lol

Nissan is always a decade behind. 🤦🏻
