If you use headphones indoors, the QC45 Is the go to. But what you didn’t mention is the Qc45 is basically unusable outdoors with wind. Even with music blasted or listening to podcast, with wind? All you hear is wind. With the QCs the wind noise reduction literally saves the headphones. Worth the extra money? Not really, but when they do go on discount its definitely a worthy upgrade. But definitely something to take note of.
Thanks for the comparison, just in the market for new nc’s and have been testing the Ultra, QC45 and NC700’s, this seems like an interesting, cheaper choice.
Thank you for this ridiculously detailed review/comparo. You sure put your work and time in. Greatly appreciated. Incredible production production and presentation. I have the QC45's and love them.
I found the Bose QC 45 for $160 (certified refurbished) in early Black Friday deals. I'm interested in good ANC headphones with a strong bass. I've seen videos about the Crusher ANC 2, but I'm unsure if you plan to review them. Some feedback mentioned it sounding like 'a pair of really bassy $30 headphones,' and I hope to get your perspective on whether that's accurate. Keep those reviews coming, staying unbiased and spot-on with the details. Your honesty is something I value💪
In one of his community posts where he had a picture of his headphones in rows based on their brand, he had a pair of Crusher ANC 2s next to his Evos, so I'm sure he's going to review them at some point.
im going to buy my first bose headphones, preferably the QC45, as QC are not released in my country yet. im getting QC45 at 220 USD. shall i make the purchase or wait for newer QC mode? im not an audiophile by any means...just lookibg for comfort and anc, for my study sessions and casual audio experience. i dont wanna make the wrong choice or miss out. have been eyeing QC45 for looong. would u recommend i buy or wait? or do u have another model in mind?please help
Im happy with my qc45 I bought 2 black fridays ago, only use them indoors or if I plan on taking a plane, bus, train somewhere. My earbuds pro 2 can handle the outdoors and exercise part
Recent update added the ability. You can't turn off ANC completely still, but it works like the other Bose models - you can set a new profile with different ANC and ambient balance, or turn on wind reduction which handles it all automatically and stops the wind problem it used to have.
@@d.3671 thank you for that! I tried to post three times their name but RUclips deleted my comment immediately for unknown reasons. My guess is that the algorithm thought I was scammer.

I found your channel just recently while searching for ANC headphones. Great videos! I am recently diagnosed autistic adult. I have auditory processing issue and noise sensitivity (high pitch like dishes/glasses touch each other, dehumidifier/central air sound, and loud noise (power tools). I wear adjustable earplugs that have different attunement levels at the gym. But loud music inside the gym and noise from people working out are still coming through my earplugs quite a bit. I have to also wear a cheapy crappy headphone I have on top of earplugs. Then I can't gear my trainer well. I don't know much about earphones 😅 this comparison video is great. Yet I still don't know which one to go with. Which Bose would anyone recommend ??
right now i am looking at all of these...QC45 are 299 ( Canadian ) 218 ( US ) and the new QC are 379 ( Canadian ) 276 ( US ).....QC ULTRA 499 ( Canadian ) 364 ( US ).....which would you recommend as i am without anything currently....I need them for music and watching movies on my ipad...i am 58 years old.....great review by the way....thx....cheers from Canada
I decided on buying the Sony XM4's based on your reviews and comparisons. In addition I got them for 270 USD from Lazada Philippines. Thank you for saving me from making a regrettable purchase!
There is no difference, they wanted to continue to sell the 45 as the budget option going forward but wanted to change the naming scheme. So they rebranded the 45 as the QC SE, the QC SE is what the 45 will be called going forward. Not that it makes it any clearer, "QC 45" is just as confusing as "QC SE" when trying to figure out what position it is compared to QC and QC Ultra.
I am still a bit confused. I know that you can change the level of the ambient sound/noise cancellation, but can you turn them of completely? Like on the Bose QC35 (II)?
@@JustinRivers-in6vt that’s disappointing. I can not figure out why they would not add this really simple feature. I am not buying a pair of noice canceling headphones without it
He didn't do the other demonstrations as he has in other videos, so maybe the point wasn't as obvious. But most good headphones don't allow sudden noise like that through, they will kick into noise reduction until it stops then go back to ambient mode when it stops. If it's that loud then when amplified with the mikes it will be even worse, and you will be able to hear it even with NC anyway. So you get to have your hearing protected, while still being able to hear the sudden noise.
Wish you compared them to ultra & xm5 I don't give a flying fuck about that "fake" surround sound effects so if the qc have same sound quality or same level nc as ultra I'm all in. Wish someone compares them.
The only noticeable difference I found with the QC 2023 and the QC45 is the ANC, the Cabin pressure is reduced and feels more stable, sound is as lovely as always, if you haven't owned a Quiet Comfort headphone, go for the QC 2023, not the 45s.
Not worth twice the price like they often are in many places, not even close. Especially with the recent update that added wind reduction, and the ability to turn down ANC. If you can get the new QC model for basically the same price as the QC SE (or 45, they are the same headphones SE is just a rebrand) then of course go for the newer one, otherwise it's just not worth it.

I just bought the QCs new for $199 on Amazon Prime Day 😊 I like their sound more than the Sony’s XM4 I had.

My Bose 700 block out alot of noise I can't imagine that the 45 block out more. That's incredible cause my 700 block everything
Did they ever allow you to fade between ANC and transparency mode for the QC45? Not being able to turn off ANC or turn it down is an awful limitation.
Not so far.

Theres no way the 45 sounds the same as the bose 700.
If they don’t need to be powered on to use with a cable why you complaint about battery life
The new leatherette is less prone staining like the one qc 45

How many pairs of headphones do you own? Oh my God so many what do we do?
This headphone is confusing, it is just a little bit better at nc the the 45 and you can adjust the nc. It als got an equalizer and thats it.
45 also now has equaliser, can now adjust the NC just the same, and has had it's NC improved so the gap is even closer!
