- Welcome to Jon's RC!
In this video, I take on the E-flite V-900! Let me start by saying that this is an awesome adrenaline thrill ride IF your flying skills can handle a 100+ speed rocket!
She is fast and nimble but she is also easy to fly if you already have some flight experience under your wings. She can hit speeds of 100+ MPH on a 3S and 120+ on a 4S LiPo.
I have flown this plane on both of them and quite honestly the 3S is more than plenty!
Definitely not a beginner plane, at 100+ MPH, she can definitely dissappear from you real fast. So, you need sharp eyes and sharp reflexes if you want to tame this beast!
Here is what we used for the video"

OMG this handlaunch😂
Do you find yourself flying this often? Do you ever hand launch it yourself?
Hi, I do fly this often. It’s the perfect size to throw in the trunk. While I could hand launch it myself, buddies at the field are always willing to launch it for me for convenience’s sake. Happy flying!
Great video Jon!
Thank you!
DEFINITELY 😊
Nice video Jon! I have gotten a V900 from a club colleague which had some major crashes (broken fuselage) and is now repaired. It looks nice and seem to be very fast as you say. After learning to fly in january it´s around my 11th or 12th plane xD Did you changed props between 3S and 4S ? Also a FMS Avanti jet v1 70mm is waiting her maiden. I´ll watch your jets videos to learn more about that flying :) Cheers!
Hi! I hope you enjoy your V900! No prop changes are done with different batteries. The stock one is designed for both 3S and 4S. That Avanti sounds nice! Good luck on the maiden!
Hi Jon! @@JonsRC Nice you answered and thanks for the tips!
I agree, dad needs to throw the airplane straight and level.
Dad is just trying to keep it out of the ground. Maybe he was traumatized from the one that kept going into the ground with safe on. haha
