I don't know why they wouldnt make it a sliding case like the blackberry priv. Or even a horizontal slider. just slapping a vertical keyboard on it like this makes it comical
The logistics would be high. Moving parts more chances to break, increasing the cost significantly, transportation, packaging everything needs to be adjusted and will inflate the price hence making it a bad deal. This is a super niche product and works well for its target demographic.
I disagree. It simply takes an experienced company to design this. I would love to see Apple design a keyboard case or better yet, design a special edition SE model with a smaller screen and integrated keyboard.

Love the review! Without having the device, a lot of the things that you said I agreed with. My dealbreaker was no MagSafe support since I have fully upgraded all my wireless chargers to MagSafe. As for the size addition, I agree, but I'm already carrying a crap ton of things in my pockets for my EDC (3 phones, 2 of them being foldables) so I don't mind that as much. They are adding MagSafe to the 16 line though, so I think I'm going to check it out to see if the size really bothers me.
It looks like they’re going to add MagSafe and CarPlay compatibility on the iPhone 16 Series cases. I think I’m going to try it on the iPhone 16 and see how it goes.

Especially for numbers & special characters, not to mention those of us we large hands pressing two letters at the same time lmao.

When the first iPhone came out, it was 600 bucks because a lot of work was put into it. Apple learned that it sort of had to be their loss leader (to some extent) so they lowered their price but they did not just charge 600 thinking “yes, we want to scam.” I am sure the next iteration will be cheaper, better tech, and smaller learning curve. To be fair tho. It's pretty stupid that we have this amazing smartphone technology in our hands and the way we communicate with it is by touching pictures of buttons with letters on them. Can't we think of a better interface than that?
I purchased one of these for my iPhone Pro Max. It makes the phone too long, and unbalanced to use. If anyone was a blackberry user, they will be disappointed in this. My main issue with the case was the silicone wearing down and the case literally falling apart only a month later
