Hello! Could you please tell me if you can continue to practice as a doctor if you failed MRCP after 3 years of internal medicine training in the UK ? I mean while you re-prepair for the MRCP can you still keep your job ? Thanks in advance!
Hi Lavnya, thanks for the videos, you have not mentioned any books to read for MRCP, so I am guessing that one can start preparation by directly solving the question banks? Is that correct? Will 2 readings of question banks and solving past papers be enough? Will go for Pastest as you mention thats its good. Have heard about Pastest videos, any idea about that? Thanks once again for the advise.
Hi, yes that is what i did.For part 1, I used my medical school notes if i needed to look up something. For part 2, i used the UK clinical guidelines (NICE) and used the oxford handbook of clinical medicine. I used the questions to guide my revision. Yes, you can check out pastest videos. All the best.

I was amazed to hear that your MRCP exam was held in the Hilton Hotel in Birmingham, then I remembered that clinical examinations nowadays may involve actors rather than real patients. I remember sitting Part One in London in 1978. It was held in the Examination Hall in Queen Square, which belonged to the old Conjoint Board, even though the membership was not a conjoint exam. I was part of a large throng waiting on the pavement in front. Eventually some impatient chaps tried to go in the front door, only to be turned away by the doorman: we were told that examinees had to go through the archway to the side and enter the building through the back door. That entailed passing the dustbins on the way. It seemed that only the examiners were allowed in through the front door.

Hi, i would suggest to do at least 6-12 months working here. So you get some experience here. Then you can apply for specialty training. You do not need to complete the 3 years if you have sufficient experience
Mam I have a doubt regarding application for mrcp. Do we need to carry both primary and secondary identification documents or the passport alone is enough?? Should we get the passport photocopy attested by the notary public?
Thank you for the vid. I have a query I’m planning to do MRCP along with my senior residency in India. I can spend 3 hours a day. How much months I should ideally have in hand before taking part 1?
It all depends on how much you have already covered in your residency. Try doing some practice mrcp questions. Then you can gauge how much more you need to know before taking the exam.
