Wow can't believe it took an 8" lift to get 35" tires under it! I got 37s under the 6" RCD torsion bar lift on my 2003 Chevy 2500HD Durumax diesel truck.
I did the same thing, but with carb cleaner......ALL on the carbon was gone afterwards, seafoam did a nice job but you'd be amazed how well some standard carb cleaner does
Why would it not be a good daily? it doesn't really look lifted that much my daily has alil more than 12 inches of lift and a set of 37"× 13.50" nitto's. I wish these dam tires would wear out already so I can throw a set of 40's under it. I never thought I'd want to wear a almost 2k set out just to get rid of them..
@Wayne Copeland it helps a ton. I've had them on every vehicle. I just sold my 2016 5.3 DI had one on there and got a 2020 trail boss and my oil catch can will be here on Friday. It catches a ton of oil.
@Wayne Copeland yes it does. That "carbon" build it is mostly oil vapor from the PCV system sucking the oil vapors into the intake manifold and into the heads
A lot people with lift and bigger tires. Don’t think about changing axle gears match up like original. I seen a few trucks with big tires. One had 5 speed in it. It was so geared high. Only used 3 gears. 4th and 5th couldn’t haul the truck lol actually slower speed than 3rd gear lol If u have 38’s to 42’s inch tires. I would get 4.56.1 gears. Below 38’s 4.10’s should be fine. 33’s to 35’s is ok for 3.73’s. 44 to 48 inch tires i go would with 4.88’s to 5.13’s. Around that range.
I see lots of carbon build up on the intake valves before and after seafoam, that is why I hate direct injection it is too hard to clean intake valves at each recommend treatment, port injection works better
It all depends on what you consider better. You get better power and fuel mileage with GDI but port injection is simpler. I agree with the other comment here. I know ford has added another injector to inject some fork before the intake valve and have heard several others are making or have made changes. I have seen comparisons of different top engine cleaners and I haven’t seen a whole lot of difference. I have. 2017 Silverado with 32,000 miles that still performed like new and know what I will have to do to keep it as healthy as possible. I don’t mind a lot doing this but the manufacturers should have know just from common sense that lack of cleaning would cause problems. Just manufacturers pushing the limits on federal mandates and we suffer. We sure need a government that has common sense.
Wayne Copeland before Ford added an extra injector their DI’s carbon up real good. My buddy had to have his 3.5 ecoboost walnut blasted at 70,000. Bad knock and the valves were coked with carbon. German cars might be a little worse but American cars have the same issues.
Are you gonna put a new motor in it and bypass the active fuel management? Those motors sucked when they changed them. I know too many people that had problems with them.
As an owner of a 15 silverado for 5 years now, the DI is a very competent system, very well constructed and hasnt given me a single issue, as for the intrusion of crankcase gasses, 3 in 1 out catch can takes care of that, bout to hit 100,000 miles and besides a lifter going at 68,000 havent had a problem, and a lifter isnt a problem, just means a TSP cam ;)
I'm with Austin on this one about that truck: There's a few reasons why I'm not so much of a fan of red vehicles: 1): Red vehicles are hellaciously more expensive than any other color vehicles 2): Red vehicles are most commonly stopped by the police for traffic violations than any other color vehicle 3): Red vehicles are most commonly reported stolen than any other color vehicle 4): Red vehicles have significantly higher rates on insurance coverage than any other color vehicle
I live in California which is the worst for car insurance. I’ve had the same insurance guy for 25 years and not once has he asked about the color of my vehicles. Not once has he mentioned my rates are higher because of color. I own 3 red vehicles. A corvette, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a F150. So, at least not true in Ca. I know in Florida, the color is listed on the vehicle registration so maybe it’s true in States like Florida.
Okay..first of all.. why a wrap and not paint? That wrap will last a year or two at most. Secondly why not a better brand lift kit? Lastly the tires..Generals??? Man if seafoam bucked up you should have spent less in production and more in quality parts. What a shame.
I also forgot..put on drilled and slotted rotors, and performance pads.. ut leave the factory calipers. You all do realize that those factory calipers are only designed for those factory wheel tire sizes..so those larger tires with wear out calipers quick.

**This sweepstake has now ended**
Well that was a fast sweepstakes. Ended as soon as it began
How can more hp added without wasting so much gass
Who won?
#POWERNATION how do u raise the axle wile raising the body two inches
19:40. This transformation shot was super cool! You guys need to do more of these on your projects
I love Tickle as a co-host!! He's doing a great job!!
Always enjoy watching these guys work, whatever it's on. All new and clean. Not that we have that luxury.
"Look at the beautiful tree."
I've got a magnolia tree that looks like that every spring!
Now, lacquer thinner.. That runner will be brand new!
The producer should talk to your tool sponsor and see if they'd spring for some safety glasses before something bad happens.
Ok so am I a idiot, or was that a motorcraft filter on a chevy motor?
best part on the truck
15:39 why is the rear at an angle?
awesome looking truck

The pickup excelent good labor boys the power nation 👍
Chevy truck...with a Ford Motorcraft filter. Go figure
Dustin Parks I was about to say the same thing. Glad I wasn’t the only one that saw it
The one reliable part on the truck....
I saw that 2 lol
Can't put a bowtie on ugly and expect it to be a tux.
where in video?
He looks like Mack it's always Sunny in Philadelphia
I did the same thing, but with carb cleaner......ALL on the carbon was gone afterwards, seafoam did a nice job but you'd be amazed how well some standard carb cleaner does
yeh itl do a real job on your catalytic converter too...
About time a LIFT
Yeah. But I wouldn't want to drive it everyday. To high. 6" is a lot for most trucks so 8 would be crazy.
Why would it not be a good daily? it doesn't really look lifted that much my daily has alil more than 12 inches of lift and a set of 37"× 13.50" nitto's. Awesome work thank you guys keep it up 👍👍🇺🇸
The Vermonter
20 minutes of work for a 10 minute Seafoam commercial
At least Seafoam works.
Run a oil catch can to help with oil ingestion
@Wayne Copeland it helps a ton. I've had them on every vehicle. I just sold my 2016 5.3 DI had one on there and got a 2020 trail boss and my oil catch can will be here on Friday. It catches a ton of oil.

On this episode of power nation we transform this truck into every middle aged mans dream vehicle

A 3.42 10 bolt pulled my 37 around everyday for about 4 years I ended up putting a 4.11 in and hate it about to change it back.
I see lots of carbon build up on the intake valves before and after seafoam, that is why I hate direct injection it is too hard to clean intake valves at each recommend treatment, port injection works better
I've heard Ford has a second set of injectors just for cleaning lol, at least on some of the mustangs
It all depends on what you consider better. You get better power and fuel mileage with GDI but port injection is simpler. I agree with the other comment here. Wayne Copeland yes, American vehicles gave the same issues.

A catch can would solve most of that buildup from oil coming through the pcv.
Since direct inject it's almost a necessity nowadays
Are you gonna put a new motor in it and bypass the active fuel management? Those motors sucked when they changed them. I know too many people that had problems with them.
Is that a motorcraft filter
Best part on the truck
Should of used Wix 🙈
Just seen this truck in Gatesville Tx
Seafoam: successfully passing off snake oil for half a century
You’ve obviously never used it before and seen what it can do
it must be nice to have a budget like you guys do. thats fun
12:50 , did he just tighten the axle nut with an impact instead of a torque wrench?! i guess specs are for suckers...
Torque specs are for amateurs... Lol
I cringed at that too. Wheel bearings will be shot in a few thousand miles.
I’m a little surprised that it didn’t need a slightly longer front drive shaft or cv axle spacers…
Looks like the truck from last giveaway that they never said shit about after the deadline ended.
Direct gas injection is just not going to last, to many problems come with it like this intake port bunking problem.
I don't understand why would you do all that to a truck and then put rusty parts back on it.????
Wait a min this truck was just done and had a chance to win it like back in January.. Wtf.....
Pole!
Seafoam did not clean the back of the intake valve.
Oh my god seafoam oh my god the deposits are leaving the roof and wall and it goes in the piston walls
The lines of the logo - from the side - on the wrap looks terrible....
Where do I sign up for the giveaway
THESE are Old Re runs. 5+yrs ago
@@bansheemania1692 this isn't even a year old yet. Though it still has ended.
Yea i like to lift my truck up about 7ft everytime i change the oil lol
Please aim the headlights.
Well I was under the impression you couldn't use the seafoam spray on an electronically controlled throttle body. Guess times have changed
You're 100% right no seafoam on drive-by-wire
You’re going to have to increase the power a lot if you don’t change the gear ratios.
I'd change spark plugs
There is alot on this truck they should have done but didn't
Did they just seriously push the leaf spring bolt out with their finger, why can't I ever do that?
cos you not living in superdupercrazy POWAH nation... where even the most delicate hands can push bolts easily!
double sided flap disc + no guard = no knuckles!
Didn't know these were now direct injection. Not a fan of this method.

More expensive come on that isnt true
5) red vehicles are accident prone
@@otisreading7559 actually, it is true due to the fact that Red paint is notoriously difficult to mix properly

Can you guys build a diesel truck??? I just think it would be interesting.
I would love to see what you guys would do to one of those.
nice truck
Need to replace that whiny vacuum pump.
lies..that foam didnt do any thing 😐
Pro charge it
Just a lobg commercial
Instead of seafoam I just dumped the money into a meth injection system
You look like you did, bud! Nice!
Epa keeps ruining engines left and right ......
Every thing is good but the wrap is ugly should have kept it red
To bad you have lift a truck 8 inches to get a 35 inch tire under it.
😁✌🖖👌👍😎

That trucks looks dumb. If i won it first thing i would rip the stupid graphics off
Only if there was a engine that used gdi and port injection so this problem wouldn't occur... Oh wait its called a 5.0 Coyote.
No taste at all it ugly asf should of when with deep dish rims 😂 work on making it look good not ugly

The best cure to fix this is to add a catch can. You wont have to spend money all the time with cleaner just drain/empty the can every oil change.
