A pair of Parkhurst Cumulus Blue Allen Boots arrived today. I prefer green but I already have a pair of Grant Stone Jungle Kangaroo Diesel and plan to get a pair of their Forest Kudu. The Parkhurst looks great, and I would order more, but unfortunately they offer only lug outsoles on their boots. Now that I am older, I prefer leather or, a bit less so, rubber studs. I probably will wait until Parkhurst offer those options before I order another pair. I wish more bootmakers offer leather outsole with embedded studs, not a whole sheet of rubber, but a few studs embedded into the leather. To me, that's best of both worlds.
I watched this video a year ago. As soon as I saw the boots I wanted to get them. Even though their shoe sizing ends at 15 and I measure in at 16.5 I thought I would enquire and see if they could make me a 16. I sent out an email at 10 at night on a Saturday and 10 minutes latter I received a response from Andrew the owner. He told me that they had orders going out several months but would try and make a sixteen if I didn't mind waiting a long time. I said yes and nearly a year latter I got the shoes. I have only worn them a couple of times. They fit great and I get lots of compliments. These are hands down the nicest boots I have ever owned. Stridewise it does appear to move a lot as you walk in them, is it something you can feel? Have to say I really dig the scarring and personality on this kudu leather.
I think light coloured clothing is where green boots/shoes really shine. I got new green casual leather shoes and they are fantastic summer shoes. They pair well with light, earthy colours like beige, light brown, heck even orange. That contrast you get when you have some very light, casual, summer colours, and then bam you have this comfortable and warm, yet unique darker green to round it off. Its unique because green clothing is not very common/popular. Everyone just wants to "play it safe" and get black, white, grey/beige, or if you're more flamboyant you might go with really bright colours like blue, red, yellow, pink. Thats why green is so unique, its such a natural colour.

I like the color. I don't think it's that green. It's more like toned down green. Almost grey perhaps. Also I like how the leather move around when you walk.
All thanks to my camera guy haha glad you dig the video, Alvin
Any recommendations for a belt to match these boots?

Arrgghh, I can't decide now between Parkhurst Spruce Kudu Allen or the Mark Albert Forest Kudu. Sigh... I have to wait, ordered 6 pairs of boots in the last 6 wks already. No more for 2020!!!! :)
Hahaha! Plenty of time to think it over. I prefer Parkhurst over Mark Albert but I haven't tried the Uptown, just the Outrider.
Do you still have a parkhurst coupon?
