The problem with the Parkhurst exotic leather releases is they literally sell out within a day or two. They just recently released their Allen and Richmond boots is a gray/brown Horsebutt......and they are already sold out.
Gorgous boots. Dale thanks for introducing us to all those amazing brands. I got my Allan in Waxy Commander black spruce and could not be happier with the quality. The owner is a super genuine guy too.
Thank you. This review is exactly what I needed. My Parkhurst Allen Cumulus (blue) arrived a couple of days ago. (They have all eyelets and no hooks which I slightly prefer because when I sit with my ankles crossed the eyelets sometimes get caught.) I ordered Cumulus because Spruce in my size was out. (I went ahead and ordered a pair Jungle Kangaroo Diesel from Grant Stone. I love them.) I plan to order a pair of Forest Green Kudu Cap Toes from Grant Stone so that I could compare. Parkhurst offers only lug soles which tend to feel a bit too clunky for me. Micro studs would feel better, and I prefer leather. Anyway, it's good to have a variety . Sometimes you feel clunky. Sometimes you don't. So far, I prefer the lightness of Kangaroo. Perhaps GS's Kudu will feel not-so-heavy.
I have the GS DIESEL and was really considering getting these PARKHURST SPRUCE KUDU. I find my GS very roomy. I might go down a half size. I am wondering if the PARKHURST ALLEN has the same roominess or a tad less?
@@186bingo they now use steel shanks over fiberglass and use full leather heel counters over celastic/thermoplastic as well as proprietary outsoles etc. it’s overall a much much better build.
Thanks for the great review! I love the look of the Spruce Kudu even if I don't have faith in these working for me due to Parkhurst lasts but I always admired them! I have a pair from him in Natural Dublin and Burgundy Doubleshot! I heard the new 602M fits better though, just twice shy. Super beautiful boots though! On a slightly different note is there anything you would recommend for a size 12D Field Boot for your insoles Dale? I have a 12.5D flex point but an 11.5C heel to toe and cinching due to the high volume uppers. I was trying to take the volume up but wanted to make sure I bought the right ones the first time.
I was torn between these and the Martini Ramblers from Truman. I ended up with the Martini Ramblers and no regrets, but those are some nice looking boots.
Ha! Me too. Was waiting forever for the Spruce Kudus to come back out and then Truman put the Martinis on sale and my wife bought them for me for Christmas. Then the Parkhurst came out a few weeks later. I'm really tempted, but just cant pull the trigger on a second pair of green. I guess I will wait it out and see if they ever come back out with the midnight Kudu. I need a dark navy.
Heel counter is veg tan leather, shank is metal. New cutaway just posted on the site last week under the Craft + Build section. Older models didn't have these which is probably why those who have older models mentioned these components not being in their boots.
If I hadn’t bought last years Black Spruce commander Allen boots I would be ALL OVER THESE. Just don’t have a huge need for multiple green boots and the commander works better for my wardrobe. The spruce kudu is iconic but fairly loud. I picked up the Grant stone gray kudu Ottawa boots and between the style, color, and texture they really stand out.

Love the amount of fellow boot reviewers you plugged here.
There was a lot of love to go around on this one 😂
Thank’s for the shoutout, Dale! Love the bag and so happy you enjoy the boots!
Another great video Dale! Thanks for the clickable link at the end!
Of course you got it Teik!!!

I should be getting my pair of rust waxy Allen’s any day now.
We called it a pound sign when I grew up. Pound Pluto is still a planet
Love kudu! Concur that kudu boots can feel like a looser fit, especially when not fully lined.
How do Parkhurst boots hold up to Truman boots? I like the style similarities. More wondering about how they’d compare in long term daily abuse.

Beautiful boots. Any idea where I can buy a matching belt?
Pigeon tree crafting has green Sedgwick!
New construction Parkhurst review let’s go!!!!!
What did they change other than the factory from US to Spain?

My largest insoles are size 45 but honestly they are probably too small! I am working on getting larger patterns though
@@DalesLeatherworks Thanks Dale, I'll hold off for that then.
I just picked up the jungle kangaroo brass boot from grant stone . Very impressed . You’ve got to add that one to your collection .
That jungle kangaroo is a smash hit

Oh yes rambler is good in any makeup!!!

@@corporalpunish6089 Lol glad I wasn’t the only one.
Just got mine hours ago!
Oh very cool 😎
You're certainly get your money's worth with Parkhurst boots 👢 👢 👍
What kind of shoe/boot tree should I buy for my parkhurst spruce kudu? Send me a link to the one you like! Thanks
Not sure if I'm man enough to wear green boots. They are beautiful
What size are you in Parkhurst vs Thursday Captains?
Do you know what material is used for the heel counter and shank? Their website says leather and steel shank, but I have heard others says its not.

Great review, those are sweet looking.
Glad you like them!
Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
Off topic here but do Truman 79 last size a half size down like Thursday Captains?
Correct 👍

I quite like my Parkhursts.
Why is Kudu leather so special?
It’s made of horse
Beauties.
What about bick 4 for conditioning kudu ? A good choice ?
Yes
