Quick novice question; I’m leaving the resonator because it’s still our family car, but would it make a big difference in sound and tone if you run 2.5 pipe from the resonator to the back?
Drone city, here he comes...! He's gonna need some Helmholtz resonators or J-pipes on there in a hurry. The 2-box body is gonna act like a bathtub and amplify the bass unpleasantly. A short resonator will make the tone more crisp, as well. It's not bad, but he may want to check the Exhaust Addict video with the 650ci and the Vibrant 1792s on there for some inspiration....
or he likes it and leaves it be. Any vehicle that has any of the emissions or whatever their version of cylinder deactivation is going to drone. An exhaust shop does what the customer wants. Very few will deny a customer and the good shops will educate or help you if youre unsure. If he says "straight pipe it" thats what they do. If he comes back he comes back.
@fish_R_stinky69 yes it will. I own one. That's how I know. Cabin insulation isn't what kills drone and neither is the packing in a muffler. Waves at those low frequencies will go right through it and use the vehicle's body as an amplifier. You need wave cancellatiom just like the OEMs use.
