Good to see you’re getting good use out of your side by side.
Thanks for videoing your journeys.
Hi JJ, Florida has been extremely cold. Stay warm.❄️🌴
Wish I could. Get cold at night and not great during the day but not as bad as others are having it.😢
Beautiful landscape. Great set up at camp. Couldn't hear you a certain places. Was there in 2019 for RTR. had a wonderful time.
Ya sorry the wind was high. Have to wear my mic. Thanks for watching.
This fall I had issues with an older 2000 honda, it never acted up like this before and we tried to put only premium in it but I had run out of premium the winter before and the power was out and was using it to power the furnace motor in the house. Farm gasoline here is dyed and that crappy dye plus the fact they put ethanol in it may have been a contributing factor to it doing exactly what your generator was doing. Most of the time the generator is sitting there and so of course I am sure the gas evaporates out of the carb and that vintage of Honda can't run with the fuel shut off as the turn valve assembly cuts spark and fuel off at the same time ( unlike newer ones ). So I looked at how hard it would be to take the carb out of there and I could have been mistaken but it sure looked like a dreaded proposition if it could be avoided. Instead I put a good dose of sea foam in the fuel ( which is not good to use for long term storage ) and let it run for hours with no load so it would work its way through the idle circuit and also did spray carb cleaner through the carb as it ran for whatever good that might do. It seemed to smarten it right up but it did take some hours of running it that way and surging for quite a while before it finally settled down. I made sure to empty the fuel out and then put fresh premium in and ran that for a bit and then changed the oil on it and I guess I'll see how it works the next time I use the generator. And yes just like yours before doing what I did, it was quite fine when under a high load as per running a 12 amp leaf blower to blow combines off, turn off the leaf blower and it would go back to the constant surging. This is not the first time I have had success with sea foam in gas but its NOT a fuel stabilizer.
I’m not sure if this is your problem .But I my Honda generator was acting up after the last time, I filled it up. What happened? I filled up to the top and the filter in the gas cap Got saturated with gas and it wasn’t letting air in it would run on idle but as soon as I put a load on it, it just kept surging. Dried out the cap and it ran fine after that.
Originally i removed the cap and nothing changed but as you can see I fixed it. Thanks
@@jjsoutthere7267 yeah, I watched it to the end, and I realized you I had it running. I just thought I’d let you know and your viewers as well, What happened to me if you happen to fill it up to the top and get that filter inside your cap saturated with gas.
Good point. Ya I tried everything from cap off, draining and putting new fuel, spark plug and removing air filter. Then I knew I was into something more lol. Thanks
Another good video. It's nice to know what you're going through. 21 day fast, now that's something. My son wanted to to fast for 3 days. I never did but he said he did several times. It's hard to believe you are so hung up on holes. I love your set up and I still have my truck incase we change our mind about truck camping. Stay safe, looks like you are alone out there. Not holes but mines, either adits or shafts. Its my thing because I worked in one for 25 years.
@@jjsoutthere7267 If you can please give us brief updates on your fasting. Thanks for everything Bill from Ga.
