I'm a fan of the maritime video's Those old Fishing Vessels have stories to tell! I probably won't be able to make it to these places. " limited funds " Love the peace and quiet.

I had never even thought of it that you might head that way after PEI but the instant I saw the title and there you were headed down the Cabot Trail, that brought back memories of my one and only venture to eastern Canada some 23 years ago in exactly the wrong time of the year ( flew to NS ) and was staying in Sydney, and have said since that the idea of going to Sidney was a great idea ... the problem was it was the wrong Sidney !. Of course that comment will be misunderstood which is fine because I am not going to explain what brought me there as I roll my eyes. Never the less if you can envision this JJ, I rented a 4x4 in Sydney to specifically drive the Cabot Trail and that was into January and was trying to time it between massive wind storm events on the west side of the trail. I did the drive counter clockwise and I in fact was on that same ferry. As i got further north I hardly saw another vehicle other than a plow truck that was struggling to keep up with the snow/wind that was drifting the highway on that section at the top with the guard rail. There was a sign at what was the turn off for Meat Cove only it was completely plastered and the way the road seemed I thought the main road continued to the right and so went that way. Well nothing of the little names on the signs were on my paper road map until I realized we were on the wrong road and headed to Meat Cove. Well shit, "the other person" in the vehicle was completely freaking out claiming that we were going to die if we kept driving to Meat Cove LOL. I turned around and got back to the main highway and continued on and once I made it to the west side out into the open on the cliffs above the ocean, oh was that fricken cold due to the wind off the ocean and humidity with that cold wind, boy that was lovely. Kept on driving south and made it to Cheticamp and eventually to Baddeck and the Graham Bell museum was closed I believe as basically nothing was open anywhere for tourists that time of year. Any tourist spots along the trail, all closed and assume a fraction of the population inhabiting the trail up further north. Back to Sydney that night and that part of NS had had a lot of snowfall, boy do they get a lot of snow in some of those places. Anyone that knows what the Cabot Trail is like in the winter said, are you fricken crazy to have driven up that ... nobody goes up there in the winter!. Anyway on my trip back home by bus to Halifax to the airport, there was a gentleman that had also gotten on the bus in Sydney and turned out he grew up a little ways up the trail and knew all about Meat Cove and said at that time if it had been 15 years longer ago I may never had been heard from again or at the very least if I escaped my vehicle would have been kept by "them". Back in the day the remote fishing villages ( and Meat Cove was one of them ) was like one big family as in all interbred ( like the song "I am my own grandpa" ) and they did NOT take to outsiders coming into their little part of the world. Another words I could have become MEAT had I gone to Meat Cove 😆

Bill here again, commenting on your latest video, great job and thanks for all your hard work, I bet you kind of regret that lug of a camper you have to drag around??? Of course it's hard to admit that. I know you'll enjoy the dune biggie type thing which I admit looks pretty cool. I still have not have my hip fixed yet. Unlike you guys we don't have Socialize medicine. Honestly I think it's one thing this country needs. Our medical system is really messed up. here in the US but we do have great doctors because they make a fortune. lol, I'm anixous to hear about your MPG, going up hills, downhills etc. I'm ASKING because I have a diesel truck and wondering if it's worth the extra money for a diesel. Frankly, I'm not so sure. I love the diesel break but honestly I only have a tad over 2500 miles on my 2022. So that tells you how my health has been. The wife can't drive a dually. I mean she MIGHT be able to but frankly I rather her not learn on my truck. Ohhhhhh, I messed up my account wanting to make another RUclips page. One for political purposes. IF TRUMP is elected demorcacy around the world will change slowly. Trump is NOT good for our democracy or good for our nation but there's a good chance he will get elected. Frankly I don't see how since everywhere he was he created chaos. He told us to inject bleach and is buddy buddy with Putin. Anyway, in one of your first video's you posted you liked him but you don't understand how he's divided our nation. So put out a video with as much tech stuff as you can. Tell us what was draining your batteries on your truck and everything tech. I like your set up plus I think you do an excellent job when you work on things. Sorry such a long post, be careful with your 39 foot rig. lol
