As a BMW employee who dosent even like electric or hybrids, I love the mild-hybrid system. It uses a battery to keep you coasting giving you well over what the sticker says for MGP's. Most M340 customers get 32+ mgp because of the mild-hybrid.

2024 m340i xdrive owner. I wish BMW put something on the dash or anywhere so you know how much charge is on the 48 volt mild hybrid battery. You can't put a charger on the 48 volt or a battery maintainer like the 12 volt either. You can't test the charge on it with a voltmeter either like the 12 volt. If I am away for a week plus I would like to know the charge on the 48 volt. No one on this planet has provided me with any reasonable answer except don't worry about it.

The system cannot be able to drive solely on the electric power like a hybrid hence mild hybrid. It can add hp, torque and enhance the driving system as well as gain a slight increase in fuel while driving as a normal vehicle without a hybrid system.
I noticed this car has an engine start/stop override button. I hope that means they are being restored on all the 2025 models as I have a 540 on order with a late November production date. Hope you did not have any serious property damage or other issues as a result of the hurricane.

Great review Anthony. I've always loved the 3 series. I had one as a loaner some years back and it was a rocket but nothing like this one! That exhaust note is so sweet and I would get into trouble with this car as well lol! Today was only 86 which was so great with low 50s at night. It won't stay that way this way but that's alright. How are things on your side? I heard today that there are still about a million people without power and I'm glad you guys are not in that group. Thank you James. The 3 is a great vehicle and this adds to it. BMW keeps adding g power with an engaged vehicle it does make it hard to know how fast you are going 😁. That’s awesome weather hopefully it will continue for you guys. It’s been so hot on your side this is definitely what you guys need. We are very blessed to have the water and electric back as it is not the case in a lot of areas still and we have increased floods happening now. Some areas went under water in the past few days. New maybe a few grand off as the year is closing 2024 under 60k 2023 about high 40-50k depending on features and miles 2022 45k or lower depending on miles
Bro an RS3 absolutely obliterates this car on every level lol. This thing is more in line with like a genesis G70. Even then I’d take the G70 over the BMW
I kind of struggle between this and the new RS3. I like that the M340i is a little bigger and also gives you more of the "regular car" thing (the RS3 is quite aggressive). Tough call.
They are both awesome and depending on where you are both are hard to find on the road. That is a tough call as I would own both I like the sport car drive to them.

I also ordered the staggered set up with 255 rear 225 front with the summer tires as BMW only lets you order staggered with summer tires. I live in NYS.. I spent a little more, I drove the summer staggered set up during the warm months and the dealer put on the Continental high performance all season NON RUN FLAT to drive all year. I also ordered the spare in the trunk. I did the same thing with my E92. Best decision ever made for the ride. Now if you could answer the mild hybrid reply I left in the mild hybrid conversation.
I don’t understand y most m340i owners spec it black interior when you get like 4 -5 options that are great , then not the much for the special colors this would’ve been amazing spec with the cognac interior same price maybe less . Don’t get the black when most 330i have black interior

@ adaptive. Very smooth. The seats are fantastic. I haven’t run the same roads in the different modes yet but so far so good
