Aadhaar kayi buddhe logon ka nahi ban paa raha hai. Kayi log mere paas bhi aaye hain. Kam se kam 50 logon ka aadhaar banaya. Jinke finger print nahi aa rahe. Unke liye koi bhi system nahi hai.
The fine should be after 31st March, if that is the last date. Isn't it a convenient way to get Rs 1000/- for crores of citizen to put in govt. pocket. Is it reasonable to charge Rs.1000/- for digitally linking 2 documents
It is already a fine for late linking Before this there was a fine of 500 And before that there was no fine 5-6 years before only they told to link but many people didn't do it So when that dead line was over fine was 500 then that dead line was also over now fine is 1000 after this it will be 2000

Pan adhar को लिंक करने का काम public से कराने के बजाय इस काम को बैंक वाले को सौंप देना चाहिए था। या बैंक वाले इस काम को कर देना चाहिए था क्योंकि सभी बैंको में बिना आधार कार्ड, pan कार्ड के एकाउंट नहीं है। Txn करते समय pan, आधार कार्ड लिंक हो जाता, लेकिन नहीं, जनता से 1000 रुपए वसूलेंगे। सरकार बैंकों को धमकी दे कर बड़े कारपोरेट को लोन दिलवाएंगे, और लोन ना चुकाने वाले की भरपाई जनता से कराएंगे।

why no youtuber is talking abt the linking fees which is so high, 1000 rs which is very high, shame on govt they are just fooling people and harrasing them.
Those who file income tax returns, are aware of this and may have linked earlier when this service was free. Now due to the deadline, poor people who are not aware of the deadline till now will be imposed with higher penalties after 31 march, (even 1000 is too much for now) which is a very bad step by the govt. Many people don't use banking much, like most farmers who don't file any income tax returns and have higher chances of having unlinked pan cards. Govt has imposed this in a very wrong way. Most People of India get aware when services are stopped for them and it becomes mandatory for them to do something to start that service. People don't care until something is working fine. Govt have to stop some service any people will get aware to link pan which is way more easier than imposing a fine. Now after 31 march fine will increase with stoped services, which is a very bad move and affect mostly poor people.
Is there a better way of doing it? As far as I have observed, people in India won't do anything until it gets mandatory. Hell! Just look at how many people still refuse to ride motorcycle with a helmet on and the rule is imposed for their own safety. If you had to do some government work and if it was optional, a lot of people won't do it. I mean not paying income tax is crime yet over 90% of people who are required to pay taxes don't pay it. I can go on and on and I think people need some harsh outcome for them to do things, which is not the best way to do it but it comes out as a necessary evil.
@Rishav Dev, there are many ways to make something moderatory instead of heavy fines. when 90% of the population don't file ITR which is clear indication that they are not earning enough. I am talking about labourers, street vendors and many other occupations like that, these are most likely to suffer. Fine should be imposed after (maybe one year) of stopping a service. Now, fine is for those who don't earn enough to file ITR, not for those who earn enough and pay tax.

And by virtue of being untraceable, one cannot exactly estimate how much income is untaxed. Take example of a farmer who sells his vegetables. So the supply chain looks something like: farmer -> Procurer -> Wholeseller -> Vendor In this supply chain, almost everyone works with cash and only recently after demonetization and lockdown have people started to use digital means. So I disagree with your argument. Secondly, people already had lots of time to link PAN and aadhar card yet they didn't do it so its not very farfetched to announce a deadline and impose if you don't do it within the deadline. Also, you failed to mention what should have been the alternative in this scenario. How do you make sure people do it within the deadline and do so in masses without having any penalties/service blockage/fines?
@Rishav Dev, there is a difference bw fine and service blockage. Like, linking PAN with a bank account is also moderatory, and what banks do, stop some services like you can't withdraw or deposit without PAN, which results in people applying for a PAN card. This is the way to make people aware, people talk about that in their conversations. Bank is not imposing a heavy fine of 1000, but people have a reason to apply for a PAN card. But in this matter, the fine is already imposed on people, even most people are not aware of that as they have no reason to link. They are getting all their services but they will only get to know about this, when their PAN card suddenly stopped working, which will result in the stopped working of their bank account. And what is their mistake in that for what they have to pay Rs.1000? They made their PAN according to the rules of that time. This is not a proper way of implementing something.
Total govt control. Now social media will make mandatory to link adhar card or pan card, so if you post anything against govt, your pan card will be blocked along with your linked bank accounts. Wake up, till you have freedom.

Everybody is asking - if they apply for pan card now guys you have to mandatory fill the aadhar number while applying so it will be automatically linked. Linking is for those pan card which were applied when aadhar card was not compulsory for anything

Where the F will a senior citizen do this all? Either they should exempt it, or send an agent to do it at door step or run a campaign like they did fir aadhar. Or give an SMS based system.
They didn't tell about it to people. It's just a way to earn money. It's a shame. Lots of people are still unaware about it. Bank used to link Pan and people used to think it's same. But it's not.
Please give full information ...there are some categories that are not required to link before 31st of march Such a NRIs, Not a citizen of India, Persons who are above 80 age and the state of the residence of Assam , Meghalaya , Jammu and Kashmir

Maybe self authentication or self authorization. You know government work, mistakes everywhere so better do it yourself. And it hardly take 2 minutes. And if you have applied for PAN after March 2019 in that case it's already linked. But just check it once so that you are double confirmed.

Everybody is asking - if they apply for pan card now guys you have to mandatory fill the aadhar number while applying so it will be automatically linked. Linking is for those pan card which were applied when aadhar card was not compulsory for anything
