ive learned the most fun i've had in top tier sim is when its like 3 dudes on both sides on the largest maps so you can really focus on a singular engagement without getting overwhelmed. Skill issue ik but until we get much larger maps will a lower "player per 50km squared" ratio, I will prefer that over 16v16 in Tunisia haha
Nice to see you back playing wt, would be even better to see you playing tanks. The challenger 3 is an absolute beast
Nowhere close to it unfortunately, plus top tier is honestly a bit of a sweat pit; been playing the Warrior and Chieftains a bit over the last few days.
Beautiful formation flying at 10:25
Lmao
Sure sure blame the stick haha! Great video once again.
i just know lockheed mutin watching this one
Don’t call me out like that😂
As a game I have sunk waaaaaaay too much time in, in the past, I'm always happy to see more WT. Never got into the sim side of it and topped out at rank 4, so happy to watch some sim jets stuff every once in a while. Get an idea what I'm missing... or not, as it were =). Cheers.
I'm so glad the F16 does not talk that much in DCS haha
The main reason why the DCS AMRAAM has performance issues is its guidance logic. There doesn’t appear to be much wrong with the aerodynamics; just that the missile doesn’t use them very efficiently.
theres a reasonable chance that the dcs missiles are significantly worse than their real life counter parts. Confirmed hits from real combat environments quite often are at ranges that would be practically impossible in dcs. It was brought up on the forums ages ago and one of the devs said that they can't accurately mirror the real world performance as it breaches their contracts with the military. It was the same reason that the gau 8 in the a10 is wayyy worse than the real one in terms of accuracy. The systems for some of the weapons deviate as well, for example the method for launching mavericks in real life is completely different to dcs - that was confirmed by an AMA from a real a10 pilot.
This makes 0 sense but okay
I think DCS models kinematics much better than WarThunder, there are all sorts of memes regarding guided bombs in WarThunder basically just flying rather than falling - you can drop them practically on the deck and they just fly to the target even if it’s literal miles away.
So that alone makes me feel that the ranges things have in WarThunder are exaggerated.
I think there’s likely some truth in the ranges being inaccurate to reality though.
@@Bullet4MyEnemyhey now, don’t besmirch my walleyes like that😅
@@Bullet4MyEnemyGuided missile > Guided bomb
@@Bullet4MyEnemy It depends on which bomb you mean, but the GBu24 in DCS performs extremely poorly and should actually have at least twice the range.
Try ARMA Reforger its 100% not as janky or weird as the older ARMAS due to being a new engine, give it a shot! Also those GRB battles sound like good content.
War Thunder content would be great. For high tier ground RB, steer clear of playing USA for now. The vehicles are great, but the teams are not. The high tier premium packs and squadron vehicles have led to a glut of players that abandon the match after dying once.
I can strongly recommend France for both their 8.7 lineup (great vehicles and matchmaking, you get to be top dog frequently) and their top tier lineup. The Leclercs are really strong these days.
For top air sim, I'd also suggest trying out France. You can fly on the red team, which means you'll have a more consistent pool of enemies to shoot at.
It’s crazy how quickly you lose sense of where the black hole BRs are once you stop playing for a bit, I’m seeing all sorts of tanks I didn’t even know existed lately lol.
@@Bullet4MyEnemy Oh yeah, the bad BR's seem to migrate around regularly. 8.7 is the only consistently great BR I know of right now for GRB.
In top tier ground RB, you can evade the players that only have an 11.3 premium vehicle in their lineup by taking a top tier jet (12.7 for ground lineups).
Speaking of, they have started to separate BR's for ground battles and air battles for planes. They appear to be taking a top-down approach, and so far have only applied this to a few of the high-tier jets. Some jets that have very little ground ordnance went down drastically in BR for ground battles, such as the J-7E which went to 10.3 for ground battles. Might make flying CAP more fun!
We need bigger maps
Hi, I heard that the current aim120A has the performance of the aim120C5 from dcs, it is true?
It’s definitely a lot better than it should be but it’s hard to compare directly because WarThunder won’t let you set the distance metrics as nautical miles
@@Bullet4MyEnemy I see
@@Bullet4MyEnemy ```WarThunder won’t let you set the distance metrics as nautical miles```
but that is possible go into the option and search for it
god all the voice tones in war thunder drives me crazy. ''lock lock! airbrake out! pull up pull up! toaster not plugged in!
Yeah, there are far too many for things that don't need them at all.
I need to see if they can be muted or customised.
@@Bullet4MyEnemyyou can lower the voice the gives warnings, don't know if you can totally shut her up or if it just becomes really quiet
@@zehi04 Ι honesty love to keep the base f-16 sounds and get rid of the excess
@@Bullet4MyEnemy Definitely can be customized with a soundmod from WT Live. Or muted in the settings, just search for VWS or Voice Warning System
People have said that Falcon 4.0/BMS had a more realistic modelling of missile performance which gave the missiles longer range so it is indeed DCS that has the underperforming missiles. Overall it looks like a condensed Growling Sidewinder server. At least in DCS you don't have to go play on Enigma's Cold War or a WWII server to grind up enough silver lions to spawn in Growling Sidewinder.
Lmao
Have you ever tried BMS?
I haven’t, I don’t really see the appeal when it’s focused so much on just one plane
This just in: Sim rewards SUCK
Maybe you just had a bad night.
In what sense? I thought it went alright considering I’ve not played the game properly in a few months.
2 gun kills in a Fox-3 meta to bag the ace is pretty good going.
And yeah, obviously it was my first look… And yes, Fox-3 is a NATO term, but it’s universally applicable.
Not sure what your problem is tbh, but there’s not much point deleting your comments because I’m going to see them anyway.
