I think it's crazy that I can take my Sea Vixen out, without an AB, no guns, but I can at least go faster than you?! I can zoom up behind people and let off a redtop knowing that I can then full speed away from almost everything else at the BR, and I'm just as much a boat as the Javelin is.
It's the ultimate struggle bus for sure, I'm probably the only person who flies it 😅 I think it's stuck in one of those black holes where it isn't used enough to have sufficient stats to justify moving it because people get it, fly it once and then probably never touch it again - if they all flew it a bit more I'd wager it'd get reduced to like 8.0 Jav fighting things like P-80s would be a lot less damaging to them, than things like Sabres having to fight F-104s so it's not like Gaijin can't say it wouldn't be fair, there are probably other examples of worse match ups happening elsewhere in the game. The Firestreaks are worse than 9Bs as well.
I honestly have no idea, I’d have been happy with the visual model update. But it seems Gaijin can’t change just one thing at a time, it’s got to be two. For example: Nerf something *and* up the BR. They never let a change settle to see if more adjustments are necessary afterwards… So I guess they felt they couldn’t *just* update the model, they had to fuck with the performance as well.
There’s a record of a Javelin (FAW8, XH971) accidentally pulling eleven Gs at 460 knots and breaking up because “the elevators were too effective” so I don’t buy that the plane is completely incapable of instantaneous pulls. Edit: typo
Yup, exactly what I said elsewhere in another comment 😅 The only people mental enough to fly it enjoy the challenge of making it work, so it probably just acts as justification for Gaijin keeping it where it is
@@Bullet4MyEnemy Yes with any replay. Also I think the Javelin finished Gloster as a serious aircraft company for the MoD, they only made the Meteor MK8 after before going defunct and merged.
When i was about 8, i had an assembly model of a Javelin. I thought it war the weirdest fucking looking fighter ever. As if it was made by Zagato. I have noticed that all the sexy looking planes, like the Flanker, or the Eagle, fly really well, and all the shitty and weird looking ones don't. (Even with the flanker, if you look at the initial prototype - the T-10 - that looked shit, and didn't meet the performance goals, so they completely reworked it into the T-10P).
Might be waiting a while, I’m a long way behind the curve unfortunately. I do at least have the F-16C though, so I’ll be able to check AMRAAMs out next update.
Bullet, maybe just maybe consider leaving out top tier for a while. It's maybe good content but not good for mental health. I learned a lot about situational awareness from your videos and applied it successfully to WT Sim. You can imagine my dissapointment when a smokeless 9M flies up my engine from the smoking F-16C I just killed. Same stuff with the Su-27's... rant over, ground attack is fun.
Those gun kills are insane considering the cannons are placed a good 2km apart from each other

Yeah, definitely seems like they gimped it far too hard with the changes, I don’t think it was touching 11G even before
the sad part is it will likly never see a BR change becasue no sane person flys this often enough

The new replay feature in Alpha Strike is really great, should give it a try! (the Pantsirs PESA radar is trippy to watch in the sensor mode).
Do you access it via the regular replay system?
