The fact that sick people leave babies in bins and in horrific conditions, this woman actually put her children in safe hands! She should not be charged for not being able to give her kids what they need. She did the right thing, she should be commended for her bravery. Imagine how hard it must be to let your children go
The fact that she actually took time to pack their belongings and important documents, took them to a safe place and made sure those men knew important medical information proves she loves her babies. I pray she didn’t go off and harm herself and the babies know she loves them
Don’t ever doubt this mother loved her children. She dropped them off in a safe location. She stayed to explain herself. She made sure that while they were dealing with the logistics of these angels that they had the supplies they would need. She took the time to explain that one of the children had health concerns (allergies). This woman is a MOTHER. I’m sorry that she was overwhelmed but she showed more love for those babies than she believes. Rest now Mom let us help.
you don't know what circumstances drove her to that point. She is a "real mother" for caring enough about the well-being of her kids and not causing them to suffer while her mental health was in shambles@@Shalayah2010
She didn’t “abandon” them. She left them with all of their things with other adults and explained all of their medical history. She’s clearly screaming for help and I commend her for doing this rather than finding a poor mom who’s murdered her bakes because she snapped. We don’t know what she was going through but she had enough mind to help her babies first. Now I hope someone helps HER. Having one baby is hard….imagine having two and no support system.
@@chess-is-king sounds like personal projection...would u rather the children harmed? You're probably the same pro life person who screams to keep fetus alive for mothers who don't want them so more children can be abused but you do nothing to help any of the children already around

Renee Hughes Right? Other mothers in similar situations will look at this and figure that their options are jail and jail so why not kill their child or worse if they’re going to jail anyway.

It seems as though this is going to blow up with people having children without taking measures, then just dropping them off. She didn’t know her circumstances before deciding to not protect herself from having children. ?
Is it being threatened?! Cause I would definitely get on board with protecting that. I have never protested, but that would be worthwhile. I am pregnant with my very wanted 5th.
The fact she cares enough to pack clothes, diapers, and other supplies for them to use when they're no longer her responsibility screams how much love she has. This was a responsible woman who did her best. Hopefully those twins will grow up to know that.
If the mother is prosecuted, it negates everything that has been promised. “If only she had sought help, this wouldn’t have happened.” She is seeking help. She loved her children and it took great strength to do what she did. She’s not hiding anything. Leave the poor woman alone. My god.

She could have just not had kids. Those kids didn't ask to be born they had no choice in being born. Why is it that they now get to suffer growing up with the knowledge that they were created only to be abandoned and the mother should just get off free? Creating life forms is an adult decision. If you can't handle the consequences of your actions THEN DON'T HAVE SEX, DON'T PROCREATE. This isn't a game, there are no do-overs, Oh sure she gets to go off and have a happy life responsibility free, but now these two living sentient creatures will have to suffer for the rest of their existence with the knowledge that they were abandoned. Justice Carter I think there has to be an age limit because there were actually cases where parents tried to drop off much older kids, like teenagers and preteens. I do think the age limit should be older than 30 days though.
I feel as long as they are safe and ok is all that matters, just like a person with disabilities or a elderly person who can't defend themselves as long as they are in a better place and people are aware of this and not just left alone

Sometimes giving your babies up to someone more equipped is the most selfless thing you can do. My parents should have never had kids but yet they had four that they completely neglected. Through my entire childhood I wished I could be adopted. Sometimes it’s really for the best.
Yes! She did what was best for the welfare of her kids, and the crying confirms that she cared for them very much. Knowing you cannot do something and trying anyways is what leads to the death of children.
Charging this woman would be a crime. You can tell she loved her kids, and tried to care for them. Just because she didn't give up her kids instantly, doesn't mean she should be punished. She did the right thing here.
This woman did the right thing. Please DO NOT CHARGE HER WITH ANYTHING! She is an example of what parents should do when they can't take care of their kids. Her children are safe, AND ALIVE. They will find a loving home, and being twins- they will always have each other.

I know this case is 6 years old so what’s done is done at this point, but as the adopted mother of a baby abandoned at a store, I applaud this woman for first trying to take care of these babies for as long as she did, then realizing it was too much for her, giving them up to a safe haven sight, it was a gift of love for those children and probably broke her heart. Bringing criminal charges is stupid and would deter other people in the same situation from making the same loving choice.
'Safe Haven' should be extended to age 5 (or 7 the age of reason). A parent who recognizes their limitations should NOT be charged with neglect. To surrender a child is hard enough without punishment for doing the right thing. The mother thought through the decision she made. This is NOT abandonment, this is surrender to the betterment of the child (children). I feel for her, knowing she will probably never get to see her babies again.
Honestly, maybe do away with the age limit altogether. I feel like people that would use this option are going through way more than most could understand and the child's age doesn't change what the parent is going through. If the entire country had this option for parents of children of every age, maybe it could make a dent in abused, neglected, possibly even missing/murdered children.
@That Elizabeth Nobody is arguing that it is (or would be) easy for any child to go through this. The point is solely safety for the child. Again, if someone is at a point where they need to hand over their child willingly, I'd argue it is in the child's best interest they just be willingly handed over to someone that can and will keep them safe. People have reached this point and literally killed their child/children to be rid of them. This is simply an alternative that they can (without consequences) safely hand over thier child before having to stoop to such measures. Mental issues are not to be taken lightly especially when dependents are involved.
@EmpressKajal There are also things that happen outside of a parent's control sometimes. A single parent becoming disabled, losing a job and not being able to afford housing, a parent's terminal illness like cancer limiting what they can do, a messy divorce, etc. Would it be hard on a child? Yes, but freeing a child from a neglectful or abusive situation should be top priority. Life happens. I'm glad to see people speaking out in support of this type of program.
@@KaylahDemi Sounds like a completely separate issue with parents that would "threaten their children" with anything like that. A truly unstable person that would need to take advantage of this vs a parent mentally abusing their child are very different scenerios.

The woman used a law for parents like her. She didn’t do anything morally wrong. I hope she’s getting help and recovering. So glad she was of sane mind when she dropped them off. The law should be changed or older babies will end up in dumpsters because mothers couldn’t mentally handle childcare. Give parents a support system. This mother showed her children the ultimate act of love and did what was best for them. It is truly heartbreaking the pain she went through, but she showed so much courage and kindness.
Exactly, this makes her a good Birth mum and the system needs to recognise this, the fact she admitted to herself that she couldn't give them the best possible life and put them in good hands shows she cares about their wellbeing, she just mentally couldn't raise them.
Good on the mother for recognising she couldn’t do it anymore! She chose to take them to a safe place rather than doing something horrific to them. She needs to be commended that she put the babies safety and wellbeing first 🙏🏼
This was a mother who wanted her children, but could no longer care for them. Be it financial issues, physical health decline, mental health not being taken seriously. She packed all their belongings, took them in and listed off every detail they needed. She cried when handing them over. Upon examination in the hospital, both were completely healthy. No sign of abuse or neglect. She wanted to keep her babies, but didn’t feel they’d be in an environment where they’d thrive if she kept them. We aren’t owed a reason for this surrender. I hope she was never charged. I also hope she’s doing better now. Some people fail to do right by their children daily. Based on how her behavior was described, I can tell this was one of the hardest decisions she’s ever had to make. She deserves a great life.
@FedEXfright You’ve quite literally proven you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. Where was the father in all this? You want to argue, “oh it’s a double standard! @FedEXfright You are right that in a perfect world, a mom should not abandon her children. However, this mom recognized that she could not continue. People seem to forget about the mothers life and the babies lives after they are born. Now what do we do. If a pro lifer could respond with what to do now with these born babies. Foster care isn't sunshine and rainbows and these babies need a loving family. Support for mom, she did what she had to do.

The kids were older than the law allows.criminal charges should be filed .Females are allowed to do this kind of thing with no accountability for their actions. The kids will be better off without her as she could very easily come to abuse them. She made the decision out of her selfish motives even though it was good for the kids. Noe she's free to go do whatever she wants and the taxpayers are on the hook until they get adopted. Let's have a conversation about accountability and personal responsibility. @@A111mar I think so! We don't know the full story...she probably was in an abusive relationship and those babies could've been being abused as well.Looks like she took them out of an unsafe environment. I just hope when she gets herself together they can reunite.
Stop.. she’s definitely not a hero. Let’s jus stop right there. I know we all play the game by trying to make the most persuasive comment/argument online but this is jus crazy. She is level headed (in a sense) but by NO means is she a hero.
As many children get murdered by mentally ill parents or parents who feel hopeless I am proud of this woman and believe if you lifted the age limit you would save many more children. I can’t imagine a circumstance where I’d ever leave my kids but not everyone walks the same paths in life.
She shouldn’t be criminally charged. She admitted she couldn’t take care of the twins any longer, what else could she do? The Father obviously wasn’t helping or she would have given the twins to him. Charge the Father for abandoning her.... if he did.
I’m proud of this woman, there are far too many people who haven’t done this when they should have. Having no parent is always better than having a bad or neglectful parent❤️
I cried so much. This woman was selfless. She wanted a different life for her children. They're still small. They'll find a loving family and will be ok
I had twins in 2016. I had another child already. It was a harrowing exp to say the least. Sounds like she was doing it by herself, I could not imagine. This was not an easy decision on her part and I commend her bravery. People have no idea how hard it is to take care of multiples until they've had them. You should not even dream of having an opinion unless you've walked a day in this woman's shoes.
Criminal charges.....absolutely not. She did what was in the best of the kids. I applaud her... She did the right thing. Tough thing to do. I cant imagine the heartache she had. .
The fact that she left her babies at a Safe Haven location when they were older than 30 days tells me she did her best to try and rise to the challenge of being a parent (likely single without sufficient family or financial support) but after giving it her best, realized her efforts (and limited resources) were not enough to give her boys what they needed in the long run. She didn't “quit” being their mom without trying first.
I agree with you completely. Its a sad situation but I'm glad her children have a better chance now. Not everyone is equipped to be a parent, but it seems like she gave it her all. 💜
Isn’t that the point of safe haven? How is she “taking advantage” in a negative way? It must have been hard for the mother… definitely selfless no matter what anyone thinks. How would criminal charges be appropriate?
@FedEXfright And so the court of grossly judgemental opinion rules again. Children are very high maintenance, and we don't know under which circumstances this lady birthed them. We don't know if intercourse was consensual, if the father left unexpectedly, or if financial turmoil was realised somewhere after birth, but it is clear the mother has exercised appreciable judgement for these babies' welfare; In a world where so many innocent babies are being thrown away in trash cans or killed for reason of parental negligence (which I believe would be more deserving of your harsh critique), I am more than thankful that this mother is giving these kids a better chance at the life they have, instead of forcibly stripping it away from their hands. And I bet if this story was instead about two babies found in a dumpster, you'd be criticising this mum for not taking them to Safe Haven, or some other equivalent shelter. You are not God. So please get off your high horse, remind yourself of the added comfort you have hiding behind a fake name and dp to criticise someone so severely, and understand the need for compassion in tough situations, for other imperfect people like yourself.
@FedEXfright it's not as though this woman dumped her kids off onto a stranger on the street or, like that young woman in New Mexico, throw her newborn infant in a dumpster. this mother brought her children to a place where she knew people would take care of them. she provided clothes, diapers, their documents, and even medical information. to do all of this, she obviously cares about her children and their wellbeing. i'm sure this was the most painful and heartbreaking decision she's ever made in her life. side note: i find it funny you used the word "sinful." if you're part of an Abrahamic religion, you might remember that in Exodus, Jochebed, the mother of Moses, gave her son up in order to protect him/give him a better life. i don't think God is angry at this woman for most likely doing the same, especially in the way she went about it.
@FedEXfright and I blame her mom for hers and her mom's mom for hers, and yours on your mother and her's before her 🙄 you clearly have no concept of mental health, postpartum depression, drug addiction, sexual abuse, or any of the dozens and dozens of reasons why this mother knew the best thing for her babies was to give them to people who would keep them safe and fed. Nobody needs you going from comment to comment shaming them for things and making it clear that *you* are the one with no compassion...
@FedEXfright like the other person said, you don't read the Bible at all if you don't notice all those children abandoned or sacrificed. It's not sinful if you do it for God. But even the mundane things, like eating, if you don't say thanks to God it's sinful.
This made me so emotional. Brought tears to my eyes. That mommy did the best she could do and left them in good hands and with diapers and everything. I can’t imagine her pain 😭😭😭
I hope they don’t charge her and I hope the rest of the world don’t judge her. To the mom, THANK YOU! Thank you for doing what was right for your babies 💕
I hope she doesn’t get charged either. She made the right decision. If they press charges it will deter future mothers from doing the right things as well. This is a matter of life and death for these babies.
One of the hardest things for a mother is to admit that she’s unable to care for her children… is extremely complicated and seems selfish but you have to think of your kid’s wellbeing over your own and if you know they deserve better , handing them over to the right people can be an incredibly selfless act of love. I say these things because when I was a kid my parents were at a bad spot in their lives and it got dangerous for me to be with them. At least they did the right thing by sending me to live with my family in Canada instead of putting me through danger or foster care. I know how hard it was for them but it was the right thing to do and I’m thankful for them giving me that chance at a better life. ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Katie, I read your comment and it really stuck with me because I have an 8 year old that I surrendered to my mom because I couldn’t take care of her. I get belittled by my family all the time over it so I always felt that I did the wrong thing. But just like your parents, I really only did it for my child’s well being. And well I just always worried that my daughter would resent me for this when she was older. I just want you to know that your comment really helped me feel better. I hope you’re having a wonderful life with a loving family and I hope your bio parents are doing well too
@@ZukiChaaaaan aww I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that too. You did the right thing and as long as you know the truth, that’s what matters. ♥️you know what, I feel that so much and I’d didn’t mention the other part to my story… I also had to do the same thing with my now 14 year old some when he was 8 as well. It was by far the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make. But I lost 2 older siblings to the foster care system and then I personally had been a child in a very similar situation. It’s not easy ♥️ Sometimes being a mom stretches beyond what other people can even imagine. I had to send him to live with his dads mother and he doesn’t resent me. He did for a while but I just had to prove to him that I was sticking around and build up that trust which didn’t take much because he knows how much I love him and the bond we have never went away. Our children know what they need and as long as they have that love from us and they are in a safe and happy situation, they will be okay. It’s us as mothers that have to learn how to forgive ourselves and it’s hard when you get people making you feel worse than you already feel. It’s easy for them to point the finger when they’ve never personally been through the experience of having to make such a difficult decision. Oh and yes, I am surrounded by a large extended family and so much love! I lived with my mother again after a few years and she was my best friend until she passed away in February. 💔 I also have a really good relationship with my dad too and even though I don’t get to see him as much as I’d like because I live in Canada and him in the states but he’s also my best friend. You’re going to be okay as long as you just keep showing your child/ren love unconditionally 🙂 I really hope for the very best for you and your little one, don’t give up!!! 🥰
Let me give you another comment to feel even better: I got pregnant with my first child at 16, had him at 17 and by his 6th birthday, I gave him to his father because I also had a daughter from a different guy who I eventually allowed to raise her. Both fathers, raising their children and my own mother called me a deadbeat, telling me how children are supposed to be with their mother etc...this coming from a woman born in 1953 who also was a teen mom in 1970 WHO ALSO GAVE HER CHOLD TO HIS GRANDPARENTS FOR 8 YRS OF HIS LIFE!! My hypocritical mom didn't get my brother back until his first yr in high school! She wanted the easy and quick raising but gave me crap for my decision. I say all that to say screw your family and their opinions. Damned if you do, damned if you don't and the only person's happiness that should concern you is your child's. My two older now 18 and 22 love the ground I walk on and call me for everything from money to advice to crying on the phone because college exams are hard 😆 . Trust me, from experience, your child will adore you when they are old enough to understand the "why".
I commend this mother, she absolutely did the most selfless act possible for her babies,,, no question how much she loves her babies 🥺💔 I can’t possibly begin to understand the heartache & guilt she must be feeling 😭😭😭😭
Yes agree with you no charges. The babies are not hurt thats number1 so i respect her decision u never no whats happening to someone maybe she has something serious mental health or addiction or financial or abusive husband or boyfriend. You never know so i feel that she shouldnt be charged those babies are not harmed. Maybe they should help her see if they can talk with her but not put her in jail!!
I know right. And all they are focused on is shaming her. That's why I got rid of cable and don't watch any media news. It's all just like this garbage
Devastating. I have one year old twins and it’s hard! Unless you have twins, you don’t know. My heart goes out to that mother. I’m incredibly lucky to have a huge support system.
My sister had twins and it is hard taking care of one baby little long two. I had to stay with her for about six months to help her. Her husband was a salesman and on the road a lot. My sister was a great mom and still is. I can't imagine having to children and not having help and no support from your family. I wonder if this mom was on drugs but who knows that for sure. She did the right thing to give her kids a chance at life and I hope they find it.
Didn't have twin but I had 3 under 3. I had PPD so bad after the 2nd one I felt I couldn't connect with him at all for a long time. If it wasn't for my husband I don't know what I would have done. I'm so sad for this mom and the babies.
At least she realized she wanted something better for her kids and did the right thing. It's not like she dropped the kids off and walked away. No, this mom came prepared with diapers, clothes, medical info and security cards and stood there and explained to the firefighters why she couldn't give the little ones what they needed. For *any* mom to want a better life and show up at a place where she can get help, regardless of the age of their child, that mom is a hero. This situation could've gone very badly and the news would of been reporting a different story. Then everyone would be judging then. She should *not* be charged. Not at all. She loved her kids enough to give them a better life. That alone comes with a heavy heart. Bless her for stepping up and giving her babies a chance.
I believe the age limit is because it’s going to be harder to put them up for adoption. Most people adopt a new born in a heart beat. But once they’re bigger, they’ll will know that’s not their mom. It’ll be harder for them to adapt.
I had my first at 14 & 3 by 23. I have felt this way so many times but endured it. If only for a day I wish I had this. My children are adults now, well educated & out of the home. I’m 42 with health issues because I think I’m exhausted. I knew I wouldn’t hurt my children, so I held on to them with all my might. However, I now understand I did things to harm MYSELF in lieu of my children. She could no longer trust herself and loved them enough to leave them with people she COULD trust…Bravo mom❤
But do they ATLEAST VISIT YOU? I SEEN SO MANY CASES WHERE THEY LOCK THEY'RE MOM IN A NURSING HOME AND DON'T EVEN VISIT THEM AT ALL, ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. I SAID LOCKED BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT FEELS LIKE they can't go out or do. I used to take my clients out to dinner shopping or whatever they wanted because at that age, you should enjoy life as much as you can, if you kids can't do that ATLEAST hire a caregiver that can do all of this for you
I'm so proud of this comment section!!! As an adopted child who's mother did this at the age of 5( only she left me at a police station)I commend her as well! Your kids will have a much better life now hopefully. You did a great thing. I hope you're ok and get help if you need it. Maybe you'll be able to reconnect when they're older 🥰
Your reply is amazing ,,whatever happened to you ,,you have chosen compassion and wisdom,, Treasures worth more than anything.like you i hope this poor young woman ,gets a chance at a good life,,not blame and prosecution..and that her twins have the good life she gave them the chance to have.♥️🌍 And i wonder ,has there ever been a case of a man going to prison for abandoning his baby?,,
I applaud this Mom for caring enough about her children to leave them with someone safe versus other unthinkable options. She did the right thing 🙏🏼❤️ example of great love.
She’s trying to save them. Take the babies. Don’t charge the mother. She’s doing what she knows will be best for them. Don’t punish a mother who is only trying to save them from god only knows what fate.
Also, the fact that she was crying and making sure the firemen knew everything said this was not an easy decision. My heart goes out to her for having to make such a heartbreaking choice.
@FedEXfright oh baby you just don’t get it though this women could have been suffering from a mental illness which could affect that babies life and possibly end their life because mothers with mental illness and young babies don’t mix well because most likely those babies wouldn’t be alive to this day
@FedEXfright Good thing your not this women's child then. If you don't understand why a mother would willingly give up their children for whatever reason then you'll never understand. Parenthood is not black and white. It is not easy as giving up all of your money for your child. She could've just toss her children into a literal dumpster but didn't. You should look up the ways children are found dead by the hands of their parents. She did the most humane thing she could do.
@FedEXfright Cleary, you are young and naive. Raising a child in AMERICA is not easy. Wages are low, inflation is rising, and there’s no guaranteed maternity leave. It’s expensive, exhausting, and requires a lot of work. Try raising a child or two before passing judgement. You clearly have not experienced the world outside your personal bubble. She loves those babies, she made sure they had all the info they needed to take of her kids. It was not an easy decision for her. Rather than demonizing her, you should look at all the factors that could’ve lead her to realizing this was the best option for Her an her babies. Have some empathy. The world is not perfect and full of perfect scenarios. Get a grip on life.
@FedEXfright she didn’t make the twins by herself and obviously the father wasn’t in the picture. Daycare for one child is higher than most people can afford, let along two children. Pro-lifers can’t say save the children and when people do, not want to take responsibility to help raised them.
Baby boxes are not safe for babies, and in fact they are a really terrible idea and I can back that up with researched facts but I'm a much too sleepy to do so now. Just Google "the problem with baby boxes" and "Bastard Nation's the problem with baby boxes". Also, people often assume it's always the biological mother, but you don't know that. You don't know if the baby has been kidnapped, you don't know if she's doing it as revenge against the dad who is actually a loving dad, it doesn't allow a desperate mom to get the actual mental, emotional, and financial help she needs in order to parent, it enforces stigma and shame of unplanned pregnancies, and it puts undocumented parents at risk who are afraid to seek medical care and parental assistance due to fear of deportation. Well, I guess I just barely awake explained some of it and no adoption does not necessarily mean a better life. Tens of thousands of adopted children every year are resold on the internet by their adopters, sometimes to paedophiles, and hundreds and hundreds of adopted children have been murdered by their adopters and yet the uncredentialed multibillion dollar industry has never been made accountable for putting these children in such dangerous households. There are other better and safer solutions
This mother did what was right for these children and what was right for her. An incredibly difficult decision, but she made it. She's strong and smart.
I at 68 yrs. never heard or knew about the age limit. People in this situation are doing the right thing for their child at any age. Bless the babies and the bless the mom for doing the hardest thing she will ever do in life.
She did everything she could for these babies, they looked healthy as far as her struggling with twins, this is an amazing story that brought me to tears, theres so many things she could of done wrong but everything was perfect for these babies to be let go into safer hands. I do hope she never gets arrested for this, because this was not abandonment at all, it was having no where to go and making sure these blessed souls live
And she most likely thought long and hard and weighed the options. I think she'll be found not guilty. The courts will look at all of it and see she did what was needed for her babies to have a better life. SHe probably like so many might have gotten laid off and with no one to help her she had to make such a hard choice.
I hope there's no criminal charges...lady, you did the right thing and it was probably not easy for you. Whatever bad moment you're going through remember it's not forever, it will pass and I hope n pray that you make it.
So heartbreaking when a mother's only alternative is to give her children up. Thanks to this law, and a special thanks to the firefighters who are caring, and loving! Bless all of you.
@@caitlin2126 Fools like you don’t care what the situation is! You think it is perfectly okay to abandon your kids as long as you do it in a “nice” way. She said she couldn’t do it anymore and just dropped them off with their things! She didn’t explain, she didn’t ask for help, she just ABANDONED them. It takes an IDIOT to not see that that is obviously wrong to do that to your babies 🙄
@@caitlin2126Regardless of the situation, there are always many alternatives. The very fact that there are so many options yet the mother still managed to chose one of the best ones for her children actually makes this more commendable, not something to yell at people over the internet for pointing out
"Abandon" is the wrong word. She easily could have just dropped them and ran but she didn't. She prepped to drop these babies off. Must have been the hardest decision of her life. We should allow babies and children of all ages to be dropped in these programs for their safety!
Postpartum depression is real. As a single mother myself who suffers from anxiety, depression and postpartum depression, I really FELT this. Raising a child is HARD, I mean even saying that is an understatement. I hope this mother gets help, because she truly is missing out on the best thing that has ever happened to her. I love my daughter more than life. I am beyond grateful for her existence, even when I feel frustrated, overwhelmed, exhausted and depressed, I just look at her precious face and I think “wow, I am so lucky to be her mama.” I feel this mamas pain, I do not know her story or background but she is obviously feeling like she doesn’t deserve her babies and they deserve better. I truly hope she can see there is light at the end and her babies are a miracle and that she in fact does deserve them.
You’re doing great, mama.💖💖💖💖 keep up the good work! I don’t have kids but I have real bad anxiety and depression. Just know you’re doing the damn thing and you’re so loved.💖💖

Heart broken because their dad changed and run off. It was too much but I’m glad I hang in there.. their almost 3 now it’s getting easier and I’m happy I hang in there. My kids are my life. I was ready to die for them. God is good!!
Well done! Single mums are always demonised in society which is unfair and disgusting and no help is given . The majority of single mums like yourself do a terrific job . You’re raising the future generation and that’s an extremely important job .
Imagine how much this mother loved her children she tried to keep them with her as much as she could and knowing she had to abandon them in the end even if breaking stupid rules, she still put them in a safe place. 😢
The amount of praise to this woman's actions is should be insurmountable, she shouldn't be charged for making a safe decision. What SHOULD happen, is she gets some assistance in one way or another. Clearly she was desperate for help.
Exactly. Even if she didn’t know about the 30 day maximum the two fire fighters still took the babies instead of directing her to child services or wherever she needed to go
Call your local Representatives and demand that taxes be increased to help people like this mother who was in trouble. But that would also mean taxes would need to increase.
She shouldn't be praised for being irresponsible enough to have these kids, to begin with. No, she shouldn't just be given shit, she should close her legs and try earning something.
I'm actually shock the system is going out of their way to criminalize a mother who couldn't take care of her kids any longer and utilize her resources to give them a chance at a better life 😔 This is why I hate society at times, they don't allow women a right to abortion yet they do nothing to provide a support system and instead try to put them in jail if they dare admit they can no longer take care of their kids and surrender them to a safe haven. 😥
Bless the fire department and firefighters for not passing judgment on the mother. They all said, She did the right thing. SHAME ON THE NEWS FOR TRYING TO SHAME THE MOTHER. We have no ideas what that mother had going on or what she had been through. I'm am sure she didn't leave her children Willy nilly, it had to be heartbreaking for her.

The amount of compassion these men showed when speaking, how understanding and how affected they all seem to be, is something to praise. Also, their genuine response to the fact that this mother CLEARLY did the right thing.

@@echo997 What's the problem? Maybe they shouldn't have age limits at all. More children would stand a chance of being safe, escaping abuse or even worst. Sometimes we are too legalistic as human beings, we need more heart for each other, especially for children.
Who cares how old the babies are, they are still babies and the mother did the right thing for them. My heart goes out to her as it had to be extremely difficult to do it.

Wow your comment was the only comment I saw. That speaks to the mother that can comfort her. You are a deep thinker to even write this comment

With how she dropped them off makes me worried for her and if she is ok!!!
She loves her babies she did not abandon them even gave their allergies I really hope she can forgive herself and know she did the best she could
She hates her children. She's a deadbeat mother. She's disgusting.
As a parent of twins it is EXTREMELY stressful that first few years. She probably had little support. I hope she is okay, as well as the babies. Women do not get enough support in this country. ...needs to change drastically.
No we don't. Mothers are judged way more harshly than fathers....despite what a lot of men try to claim.
Men need to step up and take care of their responsibilities and not just financially.
Mothers get way more resources than fathers quit lying.
@@shootfirst408 yes because it’s mostly women taking care of the children. While the dead beat dad runs off, lives like he ain’t a father. Taking care of a child is more then clothing, feeding and providing basic needs. It took two, and it takes a team to raise children.
As a twin mom, no judgement for this lady. She may have been suferring from post natal depression or just couldn't cope. She made a good decision to drop them off where she knew they would be safe . I hope she gets the help she needs and can reunite with her children one day.
I am in tears, my heart hurts for this mother.
To the mother, If by any chance you are reading this, I appreciate you and I’m praying for you. This must have been so unbelievably hard. I am in tears and do not doubt the immensity of love you have for your babies. And no doubt that while you are drowning you saved your children. You did your best by them. Thank you thank you thank you.
They need to extend the law to encompass older babies/ toddlers. She obviously cares for her children but knew she didn’t have the means or capability to take care of them. Others turn to abuse or neglect when they feel they can’t take care of their kids or just don’t want to anymore. She did the right thing and I commend her for her bravery and selflessness. It’s not easy to admit you can’t take care of your children.
Absolutely!! And with all the people that want to adopt.
I've heard stories on RUclips with children being singled out in families. Going without food and attention that eventually transitioned 😔🕊💔 after their neglect. It's absolutely heartbreaking. I watched 3 stories and asked myself how could I sit through them! People are heartless and to think small innocent and forgiving children have to suffer is agonizing!

As many children get murdered by mentally ill parents or parents who feel hopeless I am proud of this woman and believe if you lifted the age limit you would save many more children. I can’t imagine a circumstance where I’d ever leave my kids but not everyone walks the same paths in life.
I applaud her bravery. And her being realistic about children that grow up in poverty.
She shouldn’t be criminally charged. She admitted she couldn’t take care of the twins any longer, what else could she do? The Father obviously wasn’t helping or she would have given the twins to him.
Charge the Father for abandoning her.... if he did.
right. dont charge either here. life just doesnt work out sometimes and i wish ppl understood that.
I’m proud of this woman, there are far too many people who haven’t done this when they should have. Having no parent is always better than having a bad or neglectful parent❤️
Proud??? The f is wrong with you??

@Ms Terry the bare minimum would be leaving them neglected, or lot of times much worse situations.
@Ms Terry In a world of people leaving babies in garbage cans, or simply killing them, she did the right thing here.

@Ms Terry sooo I've already lost interest in this thread. BYE now. 👋🏽
I cried so much. This woman was selfless. She wanted a different life for her children. They're still small. They'll find a loving family and will be ok
My prayers for mom and twins
I was holding back tears reading the comments, but your comment burst my resolve.
Yes, this mother was selfless.
I cant imagine the heartache she had. .
Applaud her? For being a shit mom? Wow. She shouldnt have criminal charges i agree, but not illegal doesn't mean its not morally reprehensible.
So well said!!
She didn’t quit being a mom. She made the ultimate sacrifice to give her children a better life

Isn’t that the point of safe haven? How is she “taking advantage” in a negative way? It must have been hard for the mother… definitely selfless no matter what anyone thinks. How would criminal charges be appropriate?
@FedEXfright oh shut up.

the foster system vs going to live with blood family that knows you, are two extremely different things.

Devastating. I have one year old twins and it’s hard! Unless you have twins, you don’t know. My heart goes out to that mother. I’m incredibly lucky to have a huge support system.

Exactly, it’s hard with one. Two is actually more than twice as hard.
I have had two newborns - but they were 3.3 years apart. I can't imagine what you went through and I commend you!

@FedEXfright oh baby you just don’t get it though this women could have been suffering from a mental illness which could affect that babies life and possibly end their life because mothers with mental illness and young babies don’t mix well because most likely those babies wouldn’t be alive to this day
@FedEXfright u mad🤣
She loves those babies, she made sure they had all the info
they needed to take of her kids. It was not an easy decision for her. Rather than demonizing her, you should look at all the factors that could’ve lead her to realizing this was the best option for
Her an her babies.
This brought me to tears, this young mother tried her best to be a good mother. She loves her babies so much, she wants them to have a better life.
Also a f’ing 30 day limit is ridiculous and hurts the children
It varies from state to state, in some the baby has to be less than 72 hours old. That's ridiculous in my opinion.
@@pal5683 Yes it is ridiculous. I hope no child has ever been turned away for being "too old".
I know this is five years later, but I hope those babies are safe and loved and that their mama is safe and feels at peace.

She shouldn't be praised for being irresponsible enough to have these kids, to begin with. No, she shouldn't just be given shit, she should close her legs and try earning something.
@@he-mememan359 or the man who got her pregnant should try getting a vasectomy.
And YOU should try not being a piece of sh!t
I'm actually shock the system is going out of their way to criminalize a mother who couldn't take care of her kids any longer and utilize her resources to give them a chance at a better life 😔
This is why I hate society at times, they don't allow women a right to abortion yet they do nothing to provide a support system and instead try to put them in jail if they dare admit they can no longer take care of their kids and surrender them to a safe haven.
They're just reporting on the story, they didnt shame her
Respect to mom for turning them over instead of just abandoning them on the street.
I can’t even begin to imagine how Hard that must have been for Her , The fact that she took them there to begin with and had Diapers and Clothes for them , shows she truly wanted the best for them 😔🥲
To be honest, I applaud her. It could be a lot worse, the crazies that kill their babies & pretend like their child went missing.
They make way to easy for some people 😡where's the father??? And i hope she doesn't keep on getting food stamps and free housing, and let's hope that she doesn't give birth to anymore children😭😭😭 god help her children.
@@carlaharris4879 That was probably the main reason why she just gave up because the father wanted nothing to do with them and that happens a lot in this world unfortunately, I personally wouldn’t give up on my child, I try harder for mines , but yes I would hope she is NOT receiving assistance still
@@carlaharris4879 I hope not either she doesn’t deserve anything.. stop having kids if you don’t want to take care of them.
@@soniarican6275 We've heard this story a thousand times this has been happening since the beginning of time, I'm talking about a no show father a deadbeat dad when i said we make it easy i was talking about both men and women. I divorced my first husband and i had to raise my son, but his dad was always in his life. He was a better dad than a good husband. We've just got to do better as a Nation.
We are the richest country in this world and we treat our children like shit😡
Respect to the mother. Her emotional state showed how difficult the decision had to have been. I believe she loved and cared about her children. She gave all the information the authorities needed to care for them. Not just dumping them off without a care in the world.
The amount of compassion these men showed when speaking, how understanding and how affected they all seem to be, is something to praise. Also, their genuine response to the fact that this mother CLEARLY did the right thing.
How many times we see stories in which the comment section begins with a "not everyone should be allowed to have children", etc., and how many horrible stories have we all known about related to parents doing the unthinkable, men and women way over their head...
And the thing is, we're also criminizaling abortions,.. I hope no criminal charges are brought to her and that these precious babies find a beautiful wonderful home and get all the love and care their mother so clearly wanted them to have. May their life be joyful, prosperous, filled with happiness and love.
Exactly
Imagine using a safe law & then possibly being brought up on charges , that's ridiculous . 5 year old story has me wondering if desperate Mom faired ok with this . God bless you sis you did the right thing ❤
SERIOUSLY ticks me off because if they charge her..
The next women wont bring her kids in. God forbid the alternatives.
And thats on them for charging parents trying to get help.
I didn't realize this was from that long ago.. I hope the babies found a good loving home and that the mother was eventually able to overcome whatever she had going on in her life that led to such a heartbreaking moment.
Then have your life blown up on the news.
Like this is what this law is for 💔
It's almost like a safe law was made specifically so you can safely sunder your babies. Never mentioned you could be jailed for it. The firedept. Could have redirected her to a child's safety service office if it was such a legal issue
@@beautifulrecovery2337 literally making y’all scared of nothing, and y’all falling for it. Ghost stories.
She was never charged and there is no charge she could be charged with, and her nor the children were identified. Y’all some dry zest simps
This mother should be applauded and supported, NOT charged. She loves these babies. She made a hard and selfless decision. She chose LIFE and safety for her babies.❤
