- Glenn (Taylor Kinney) starts off his day trying to save the life of a baby abandoned by her mother at the fire station.
From Trauma Season 1 Episode 17 'Sweet Jane' - In the process of gathering stories for his book, Glenn finds himself discussing unusual calls with his work mates and ends up hearing much more than he imagined. Elsewhere, Tyler's dad comes to town for a visit.
From executive producer Peter Berg (NBC's "Friday Night Lights") comes "Trauma," the first high-octane medical drama series to live exclusively in the field where the real action is. Like an adrenaline shot to the heart, "Trauma" is an intense, action-packed look at one of the most dangerous medical professions in the world: first responder paramedics. When emergencies occur, the trauma team from San Francisco City Hospital is first on the scene, traveling by land, by sea or by air to reach their victims in time. From the heights of the city's Transamerica Pyramid to the depths of the San Francisco Bay, these heroes must face the most extreme conditions to save lives, and give meaning to their own existence in the process.

Despite knowing nothing about the mother's circumstances, I can see that she does care about her baby.
She could've just left her outside the firehouse door in the cold, but she waited around until she saw a first responder; she didn't leave until she knew the baby wasn't going to be all alone.
She was enough of a mother to make sure her baby would be safe even when she's no longer there.
Yeah I mean she only left her baby probably cuz she didn’t have any money to support it let alone pay for healthcare
Yeah, I think it's fairly disrespectful and also inaccurate for the video title to claim she "abandoned" her baby. The firehouse has a sign on the door that says "Safe Surrender Site" for a reason. She didn't abandon her baby; she surrendered her baby to someone both qualified and authorized. Stigmatizing safe surrender of infants will just lead to more babies actually being abandoned.
Im so glad safe surrender is a thing. That baby girl got a fighting chance as a result.
Yeah I’d never actually heard of that before
Chicago Fire recently got one. Wonder how this might have in store for future epsides...
it’s a tv show bro there ain’t no fighting chance this is just acting
I've heard of something like that before in movies and TV shows.
@@WarGrowlmon18 if you look around you will see “Safe Heaven” signs on almost every public building
This is a great series. And I honestly can't understand why it only lasted 1 season!
Taylor Kinney was great in this series long before he made his debut in Chicago Fire.
Yes. It seemed very good! ❤❤❤
Such a great thing incorporated. It just sucks when people just leave babies in areas to just die.
I always get confused when I see clips from this show with Severide, except he is not Severide.
The roles being so similar boggles my brain even moreso
Lol yeah I thought it _was_ Severide until I saw the other paramedics / firefighters in the firehouse and didn't recognize them
At the beginning when it said S.F.F.D. I was like it should say CFD.
it did say it's a safe surrender site the parent did exactly the right thing
You could tell the emt wanted to adopted baby Jane even though she ended up with another family
At least she left the baby with a firefighter at the firehouse. That was the responsible thing to do.
There's a reason they're called Safe Haavens.
So Severide was an EMT in San Francisco before joining the Chicago Fire Department
I thought this was a Chicago Fire episode before I read the title
@@obamaprism4168 same 😂
Me too! I was so confused!
Yeah he decided to be a Firefighter. 😄
I was just thinking the same thing! Is that a young Kelly Severide?!!
Safe haven law, not his place to try and get her back
Most of the time they will try and track down the parent not to punish them or make them take the baby back but to make sure they are physically and mentally ok
@@bellamia8867 Not with safe Haven laws, the training is "what do you say if a mother wishes to surrender a baby" and "Thank you" is the only response, not "How old are they, are you ok, what is your name, do they have any medical conditions" that's it
i saw the thumbnail and thought, " wait, severide is in ER?" then remembered he played glenn, before chicago fire lol.
What cute little Baby Girl. She's so adorable. She has a big Angel, that protect her❤👼👼
I'm confused about the last part... she's gonna be drenched in blood, but the money she's gonna bring home for the baby, is from the best source, and she's what?... Ashamed?
Her baby's gonna have the best show and tell, or bring your kids to work, ever!
She’s upset because she wanted to be a mother to Jane. However, knows deep down she can’t give a child a normal life. She can’t be the mom who picks her kids up from school and happily serve them dinner. I have 2 kids myself. Being able to give your kids a normal, healthy, and active life is the desire of all good parents.
2 days old??? That baby looks like 2 months old!!!
Because she most likely is baby have to be at less 10 week old be in tv and movies
@@Just_janee_ they also use fake babies! They look very realistic although your explanation makes more sense!
New born babies can’t be in shows. I wouldn’t want strangers around my new baby either if I were their parents
Maybe that was the youngest baby they had then
FIRST paramedic in San Francisciso, Now LT from a RESCUE SQUAD 3 in CHICAGO....
She's an angel baby
Based on what? She is just a baby
Babies that young, or infants are rarely placed in foster care cause they’re more families they want to adopt a infant. I love fire and police stations are safe havens.
Severide is a paramedic in this show
Hope everyone doing great🤍🤍🤍
At first I thought this was chicago med
Because of Kelly Severide 😅
Oh hey, its Cliff Curtis :)
That is really sad when the mother abandons her child like that 😢
It is very sad indeed but god bless the mother for making the hardest decision she’s ever made.
What I don't understand is why are they trying to find the mother. safe surrender is quite literally no questions asked. technically that firefighter broke the law when the mother handed over the infant and he tried to call her back.
It sounded like there were medical issues with the baby, maybe it was to certain there wasn’t anything genetic. Also, if someone handed me a bag carrying a baby I would be confused enough to forget the next steps.
@@saratrice3051 It doesn't matter if you forget you can't contact the mother in any way shape or form. If word gets out that you tried to contact the mother to ask questions. Other women may not feel safe using the safe surrender.
@@highlander723I don’t think confusedly calling out “Miss?” A couple times after having a random baby shoved at you really counts as “trying to contact the mother.” He was just caught off guard, understandably so.
@@flowerfaerie8931 No questions asked means no questions asked
Não conheço a série e tenho pena pois sou fã do Kelly S.Acho que essa série não passou em Portugal mas,vou ficar atenta
Your safe her Taylor Kinney
So Taylor Kinney, played a paramedic on a show at a fire house before playing a luitenant on Squad for another show at another fire house, what the heck, my mind is blown right now
Has she found a forever home yet !
I really don’t understand the suit guys problem with the paramedic lady taking an interest. Like Jesus dude, why are you trying to get someone to be less compassionate?
Yeah, he was pretty annoying, looking at her as if she was being weird, creepy or he was just uncomfy with her behavior. It’s easy to get attached, especially in a situation like that.
@@animegraveyard776I saw it as a gentle reminder that she wasn't going to be able to keep the little girl, and to not get attached because it would lead to heartbreak, as it ended up doing
He was trying to let her down easy. He knew she wanted to keep the baby and was letting her know that she couldn’t, and to not get her hopes up.
How to watch this series
I totally thought this was Chicago PD at first.
slay fr
Its confused to see severide in paramedic mode😅😅😅😅😅
Huh he's playing two different fire fighters on different shows? 0:15
The chick here is Aussie. I can hear it in her accent.
What's name movie
😢😢😢 Oh No WHY Mother Don’t Off Poor Baby💔😭💔😞
Severide?!?!?
What’s the show called
Trauma.
What's the name?
Wait so she’s two months old and has a heart rate of 57? At two months the heart rate should be between 90-160.. 57 is dangerously low..
She's 2 days old
@@cynthialesieur643 ohhhh… 2 DAYS 😅😂.. that makes more sense
Kelly Severide as a young rookie before he moved to Chicago

This brokes my heart to this happen I know it's a movie but it's already happening in real world how sad it is
THAT IS SEVERIDE FROM CHICAGO FIRE
I love 💗 watching labor and delivery birth vlogs on the RUclips channel app
🤔me too but that’s not what this is
Is this show connected to the Chicago franchise (Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, Chicago Law)?
No it is not. As it was set in San Francisco, and apparently it was filmed there as well.

Traduzir para o espanhol ❤️ 💕🥰💖🥰
Name of show please
It's in the title, Trauma.
It should be a hard and fast 'dont ask, dont tell' policy at safe surrender sites.
The mother/father cant or doesnt want to care for this child, do not pester them, dont chase after them.
It's not a light decision. Dont ask. Dont tell.
2 days? BS
That child is at least 3 months.
Infants and babies are not allowed to be on set to shoot movies or tv scenes when they are newborns.
@@maureenpepin9506 that’s why they have dummy babies
they had a whole heli, why take the truck?
Would take longer to set up the heli, getting there would be quick but they’d have to hope no one else is ahead of them in landing because they’d have to wait or they’d be sent someone else.
Wtf is wrong with Cliff Curtis' accent?!
That doc oooooh I hate him.
How can mother's just give up there babies!?!?
MANY reasons
I'd rather a mother give up their child for whatever reasons they may have or need to do so for, instead of the potential horrible life that child would suffer if they did not. Due to abuse, neglect, or family's mental issues. I would VERY much rather a mother do the right thing and give up their child, for a better life, than be selfish and keep it if it would end up being harmful to the baby.
Unfortunately there are a large number of reasons
Our government is out here literally forcing women to have unwanted pregnancies now and this is a difficult concept?
Becuz they’re beasts and not mothers
Usually on drugs so didn’t care to notice then didn’t care to set up adoption with an agency
Just drop the baby (birth) and run. Literally, as the mom did here.
Drugs are stronger than ANYthing
im so happy for the baby but the mum i HATE!
Interesting view when you don't know anything about her
The mom probably knew she couldn’t take care of her. She had a car so that was most likely where she lived.
some women throw their unwanted newborn babies in dumpsters to die, she waited outside of a fire station and personally handed her baby to someone she knew would give them a better life than she could, why do you hate her?
Absolutely ridiculous to hate her. You do not know the circumstances of her life or how she ended up with that baby. Now unlike a lot of idiotic people who just leave their baby to suffer, she made sure to give her away somewhere safe, so she could have a chance at a better life. There are many decent families of which cannot get pregnant but eagerly want a baby. Get off your high horse.
