We use Unique as well. We found out about it when we went to NRVTA for tech school. Unique sent some for the school to try and they really liked it.

Thank you for your video - it was GREAT! I'm taking possession and delivery of my first 5th Wheel (Cardinal 3550 - 38ft) and having it transported to Palm Springs, California, on December 16th, where I own property in an RV/Tiny Home Park. Long story short, my RV Dealer recommended Digest It. Three bottles of it, along with the toilet bowl cleaner, were delivered today from Amazon! I'm a complete layman and a Newbie to the RV life, so I'm looking forward (I think?) to see how well Digest It works. Thanks again! Keep up the videos!
That’s awesome!! We don’t think you’ll find anything better than RV Digest It. It’s currently, by far, the best!!The toilet cleaner works well on the toilet too. It keeps your seals conditioned and cleans well. Wish we were in Palm Springs, CA. We’re planning a 66 road trip to Venice soon.

If you want to know if a specific TP is ok for RV use put 3-4 squares of it in a Mason jar (or similar) add 7/8 or so of water and shake three times - 1 up, 1 down, 2 up... If the paper shreds into tiny little pieces it's plenty good for RV service. If it remains in sveral large pieces... I wouldn't even consider it for residential use. People never stop to think, "So, is it better to use normal, residential TP in a RV or do we need to use 3/4 of an entire roll of 'industrial strength' single ply with each 'visit'? I was a pro mechanic for 50 years and no matter what I told people they always tried to put their own spin on something instead of just doing what they were told. Then they either come back complaining or go off elsewhere and tell other people the previous person is stupid. It never fails.
I have been using Unique for about 6 months. I always have some waste and toilet paper that didn't liquify. Recently I had a blocked black tank Which had toilet paper and number 2. I added another 8 ounces of Unique Digest-it, waited another 24 hours and it didn't fix the problem. I had to buy a back flush kit to break up the blockage. I contacted the Unique company and told them about my experience and that I have a 47 gallon tank and normally add 3 ounces of unique and 5 gallons of water after cleaning the tank which we do once a week. I was told to add another 3 ounces around the 4th day. So that's what I'm going to do. Hopefully it works but I'm not very confident because it didn't liquify the toilet paper.
Sorry to hear that. It could be the toilet paper you are using. RV toilet paper is the worst. We were having a similar issue when we first bought Unique and we used about a half a bottle before we emptied the tank. It was all liquid then. We used about a third of a bottle the next time and then went to normal amounts. Use Scott 1 ply paper. The cheap stuff. RV toilet paper is a scam; it clogs your system, and all of the other stuff is stronger than paper towels and is difficult to dissolve. Also flush your tank but put your hose down your black tank roof vent. It flushes from the top down instead of the bottom up. Test to make sure before you go full on blast. Our vent is directly out of the black tank. All of that really should do it. Good luck.
Really does sounds like a TP problem though. We’ve been through that as well and it sounds identical.
@@travelingsellvation We do use the regular Scott's one ply, not the RV safe offering. We always have because I believe like you that it's pretty much a scam. I really don't want to get on my roof every time I flush out the black tank but I do have a black tank flush connection that I failed to mention that I use. It sprays from the top of the tank.
@@travelingsellvation I hope the extra Unique Digest-it every 4th day fixes our issue but if not, there is another brand that a mobile tech suggested I try and is what he uses. I won't mention it here so I won't highjack your video and comments but I'll email what brand it is. Maybe you'll test it against the Unique sometime in the future.
