The dumbbells look pretty cool! A tip for cutting silicone moulds, if you cut in a zigzag it helps to line the sides up again for pouring, a straight line can lead to the seam being slightly off.
Maybe putting a thin layer of resin in first before the pieces could have prevented the sanding effecting how they looked. You have done this before to place pieces in perfect spots.
I'd have a done a clear pour after everything was set & mould lines removed; then no need to sand or polish anything but the underside where any drips would remain sticking out, & no risk of cutting into the filler.
This project actually kind of speaks to me. I don’t drive, so I walk here and there. I find a lot of things on my walks, but a big portion is stuff like this. I find interesting bolts and other metal items, and I have a ton of ideas for them that involve for example using a large bolt as a handle or lever of something.
The guy is so tall he just barely fit under the door jam without bending his head, bet his mama is proud. 😉 What a hoot this was to watch. Boy that piece of steel for the dumbbells looks really hard to cut through, good stock. I like that you cleaned up those pieces parts, to bad that your iconic name piece slid out of place. He looked pretty happy with what you did, bravo! Awesome job!
My Gosh this guy is a *GIANT!* At first I was going to say that Nick must be short but then I compared them to the truck and goodness! Nick this was such a cool project! You did a great job!
Hi Nick! I love your content, I can't stop watching!!! I usually watch in 2x speed, and I can't get enough!!! You should just post em like that! It's so entertaining! Thanks for doing what you do, Michael
This was really cool to watch and fun to see how excited nick was to show off his project. They look really cool, makes me want clear weights with things inside now
I THINK IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOU DO WHAT YOU DO WHEN NOT DOING PROJECT'S FOR THE CHANNEL. IT'S NICE TO SEE YOU DOING PROJECT'S FOR OTHER PEOPLE THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY MOST OF THE TIME. IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOUR CHANNEL GROW TO WHERE YOU CAN MAKE IT LIKE IT'S OWN STATION. ALSO, IT'S NICE TO SEE THE OUTSIDE OF THE WORKSHOP WHERE YOU AND CHARLIE WORK. IT IS GREAT THAT YOUR SON HAS A DAD TO LEARN A TRADE AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE YOU AND CHARLIE WORK ON A PROJECT TOGETHER. YOUR CHANNEL HAS REALLY GONE FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL FROM WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED WORKING IN YOUR SHED NEXT TO THE HOUSE AND FROM YOUR VERY FIRST PROJECT. YOUR CHANNEL DESERVES THE RECOGNITION ,AS DOES YOUR SON'S CHANNEL THAT IS GROWING. CHARLIE HAS GROWN IN CONFIDENCE IN THE TRADE THAT HE HAS CHOSEN. IT APPEARS THAT HE WANTS TO FOLLOW IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS AND THAT ISN'T A BAD THING AT ALL. IT IS GOOD FOR TO SEE IN THIS DAY AND AGE CHILDREN LEARNING FROM HOME FROM THEIR PARENT'S. MY GRANDSON ENJOYS HELPING HIS MUM WITH HER BAKING THAT SHE HAS CREATED AS COVID-19 HAS STOPPED HER FROM GOING TO WORK MEANING WORKING FROM HOME. THANKFULLY, IT'S PEOPLE SHE KNOWS THAT PURCHASES HER T........
I just imagined his wife walking in saying what's that smell what are you cooking for dinner looking in the oven and looking at him and calling him a dumbbell.
The dumbbells look great! Missed opportunity on the cement bucket weights. You could have acidwashed or sandblasted the sides to clean off the cement and expose the colorful bits. I do pebble finishes (exposed aggregate) in swimming pools and that's how we do it. Kudos!
Daniel is a taaaall son-ofa-gun, phew. I love seeing unique project ideas coming from other sources. I would never have thought of dumbbells made with metal, aggregate, and resin. Love it!
11:15 beginers, cut into it making a zigzag so it registers back together. not Toblerone wedge size but enough so the size of the work can find its way back together with no fuss. maybe the width of that bar for that mould and also depending on the manufacturer's instructions of your materials.
nice one, great idea. super unique and very fun. thanks for sharing, loving the youtube collab world at this time. keep the great work going we all appreciate the time and effort.
Those WERE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF YOU WERE ABLE TO DO A FULL SET FOR the gym to match the one set! And then do a set of singles to match your FUNKADELIC double upright row buckets!!! ✊🏻🤗
HEY BUD IM A HUGE FAN. LOVE YOUR WORK!! but a help full tip to keep your mold from needing to be over patched so it wont leak next time instead of cutting the molds "both sides" i would cut one side/corner and then give it the old blast with the air compressor. it will help split the item your casting from the mold with out having to cut the other side to make it better for your resin castings. keep up the great content mate! you inspire 1000's of people like my self!
Hi, Nick. Here is an idea for your next project. You will need transparent disposable cups of different sizes. Nest them inside each other then pour resins of different colours in each one of them. After that you can use your magic in turning it into something funky 😜.
You should have weighed all the random things you were going to add, divided that number by four and then separated the items to achieve each weight so that each dumbell weighed the same, and each side was even as well!
@@UsDiYoNa Nah i'm not saying anything about weight distribution making the weighrs workable. I mean as in, have you ever seen people use weights? They throw them abour and drop them them. It would break the things. Go to any gym and you'll see what i mean.
Mr Zammeti...pls make sure to give your studio a proper cleaning...that rust powder/ fly rust..is a killer to machinery!...awesome creation! Stay safe and keep it up!
Reminds me of wene me daddy was in the britton strongest man back in the 80s lol Maid a sqaut bar from a scaffold bar and two milk churns filled them with sand and water , a couple of acrow bars, slapped on some cast iron manhole covers and my two brothers me on his shoulders and trained away !! Wouldn't mind his mait glen painted 1 ton on them lol Lovely old school!! Who cares what they weigh , Some people complain about lifting there self out of bed lol While others lift the weight of the 🌎 and don't bat an eyelid, 💪💖
This was quite the amazing project. Personally, I think you knocked it out of the park. I love the uniqueness of the whole project. You did an outstanding job here, Mr. Zammeti. Keep waffling on!
Hot dang, that's awesome! If I could make it to your side of the world (hopefully one day soon..) I'd love to go to the gym and try em out! I'd love to see the shop, honestly it's in my "before I die" list. You're my favorite maker, m'man-- THANK YOU!!!
you should pre-cast clear resin pucks containing your logo medallions to drop inside projects! you could just do small pours into a vertical PVC pipe (4-5cm) using left-overs from other pours even, just drop in the medallions every 3rd cm to create a nice puck depth. you could pre-cast dozens this way with a single PVC pipe, and you might be able to just push it out like a push-pop! you could also use fishing line and contact adhesive to suspend the coins with 2cm between each so that you can just do a full pour in one go and then slice them apart as needed! like PEZ!
Nick! I've seen you come up with some nutty and crazy things, but this has got to be the best! OMG, those dumbbells turned out perfect. And the concrete weight was a fantastic idea. Hands down, this was epic! You should be charging admission for people to see this one. Can't wait to share this with my crazy buddies. Loved it and thank you! 👍👍👍✌
For similar projects could you set your emblem into a small resin block first before adding to the mold so the metal cant get near the outside edge so removes the risk of sanding it and losing detail.
I remember a tip from King of Random, that you should cut the mold with a zig-zag so you have a more positive/accurate join when you have to reseal it.
Those turned out pretty cool but you should have used resin in the big one! Putting cement in there ya hit all the cool stuff!!! Ok that might have cost a lot but hey it’s art! Oh, Nick I just went back to watch your first videos and it’s hard to believe that’s you! You were so quiet lol...and it’s crazy how you have changed in. 5 years. Very clever x
I love all the projects that Nick comes up with and how half the time he doesn't even know what he's doing and just waffles on.
And this is why we ABSOLUTELY love you, Nick!! And also, not only are you enjoyable to watch, you are absolutely adorable too!!
Glad to see Dr.Zammeti completed his resin-dency.
Ha ha good one 👍 🤣 👌
Maybe putting a thin layer of resin in first before the pieces could have prevented the sanding effecting how they looked. You have done this before to place pieces in perfect spots.
Also you could cast pieces in their own small blocks of resin and then put them inside to give a more floating appearance.
I'd have a done a clear pour after everything was set & mould lines removed; then no need to sand or polish anything but the underside where any drips would remain sticking out, & no risk of cutting into the filler.
just never learns from previous jobs
It really bugs me that those dumbells weren't made to a specific weight
Unless they were crazy lopsided it doesnt matter much, shoulda somehow taken the numbers off it though!
I kept waiting for him to weigh the infill as he went. Then waiting to hear what the final weigh in was. Argh!
Only half way through the video and came to the comments to find out if he ever actually weighed it. I wish he would have!
Me too all the way through I was wondering how he would get them equal and to a specific weight.
Great show piece vo
Lol, it’s driving me nuts too. They would have to at least be even, surely?

Why add that work? They cannot be used as real weights so it would be literally pointless.
@@jordan_roadhouse4798 the point of the extra work would be the fact that they actually could be used if the weight was even lol
