I was eating the spongebob gogurt sticks, and it asked me what my favorite transportation was, unicycle or teleport, I choose teleport, then thought to my self what the fuck is a unicycle ?

So true
I taught myself when I was im first grade! Now I'm 22 and bought a Unicycle again. I can ride it very fast! I hope to be able to do those tricks again!
Self taught and been riding for 2 years and never thought abt tricks besides my backwards riding. This showed up on my homepage and now I realize I should’ve been learning all of these
Yay I finally found a good unicycling video. Subscribed.
I just bought a trials unicycle and now I plan to learn every single one of these tricks. Will probably end up watching this video like a 100 times, it's a great video. So far I've got the leg round mount, 180, almost have the half rev (I tried it for the first time yesterday) and I can idle with one foot.
Christian, please allow me to express my appreciation for your top ten videos, especially Top Ten Easiest Tricks. You looked straight at me and said, “If you can’t do these tricks, they are holding you back.”… “You need to pick up the slack.” Your top tens have inspired me to work over the past three months to try new tricks, including half revs, full revs, seat drops, foot plants, and one foot idling and one foot riding. Here are the results:
I was able to do the following tricks prior to seeing the video, but it inspired me to practice them more regularly and improve: 90 unispin, 180 unispin, 180 hop twist, arial (no footer), leg wrap mount, leg wrap.
Half rev: easiest trick ever. Seems rolling is easier than static. For the first few days my landings were shaky, but after practicing 10 minutes a day for five days, I was landing them consistently and felt very confident.
Full rev: difficult, frustrating, have not made progress. Not sure if I need to get more height on my jump or just improve my rev technique. Video clips seem to show people landing this trick do so by beginning the rev as soon as the wheel leaves the ground. They don’t need to get a lot of height.
Seat drop: pretty easy trick although for the first few days it seemed impossible to have the balance and time to reach down and pick up the seat. Only needed to practice 10 minutes a day. After 7 days I was occasionally successful. After a few more days, I was frequently successful.
One foot riding: difficult, frustrating, after 10 days practicing 30 minutes a day I felt no progress at all. Then I decided to try one foot idling as a stepping stone. Worked on that for about a month until I was able to idle 100 times in a row. It turns out that the idling skill did not really translate to riding. More frustration, no noticeable progress. A breakthrough was when I learned to ride one or two revs one footed and be able to return my foot to the spinning pedal so I would not have to dismount. It has taken me three and a half months practicing 3-4 days per week, 20-60 minutes a day to be able to ride 10 revs one footed. One foot riding may be easy for some, but it has been a monster for me.
Footplants: my footplants are trash, so I stopped practicing them until I have solidified the other tricks. Seems like learning side jump mount is an important stepping stone.
So the tally is that I have completed eight out of the top ten. I still have work to do with full revs and footplants. The learning process has been a fun ride so far. Do you have any tips on footplants or full revs?
Here is the video I made of my work: ruclips.net/video/eZW1x0ZYnDs/видео.html
Thanks Chris, you always make everything look easy. =) This was a helpful, well made, excellent top 10. Always a pleasure to watch.
Omg!! this video was awesone! I love it and you have to do another part asking other person!
Last two trick to learn (90unispin and rev), thanks for this, I am looking forward to another top 10's!!! :-)
your channel is awesome. keep up the good work. thanks for posting this
Thank you so much. I can ride a unicycle easy and needed a new challange thx😄
Great video! Please do more!!
I got the unicycle 2 and a half years ago, still have not learned any tricks, this summer, I'm learning these ten!
Why am I watching this it's 2am and I don't even own a unicycle
They are really top 10!
I think you should do more of these but on different levels. Anyways great job!
I agree with this, make it so once u learn these u can move up and for more advanced tricks tell us what we should already know to be able to do it.
I'm working on a more indepth 'walk through' to street/flatland/trials/freestyle. It's a big job! I won't be making too many 'Top 10' videos that focus on the same things I'll be covering in said project, but I think I'll do a few more in the future, but I'd like to make some Top 10's on different subjects first.
-Chris H
jack Klein im agree too!!
PrettyGoodChannel what type of unicycle do u have?
I just started unicycling flatland. I am concern to start right. Is there a difference of left foot or right mounting? Rationale being if i right foot mount do i have to have a certain foot forward when i hop OR a particular directjon when i do a 180? Tks
perfect for my commute !
great tricks i love it! hope i can learn some of your tricks. thanks for sharing this video.
Please do more. I love your stuffe.
I would love to know what unicycle you used for this video! Please keep making more of these!
this is s impressive you are insanely good
awesome!!!!!!!!!!! where did you buy the unicycle from? thanks
Seems nicely made
great video bro keep it up :D
Thanks Chris!! Great video :) I've managed the leg wrap a couple of times. Now to try the 180 turn. I'll ask you to show me when I see you next (Circability), it's scarey stuff for me! Pip :)
Im with circability too!

Nice unicycle Kris holm KH20
I am planning on getting an unicycle

They are my gray matter protectors.
What unicycle do you have
So how comfortable should I get with riding the unicycle before learning these. I just started learning and I can ride a good 20 feet consistently. Should I start trying tricks?
Totally up to you. You could go for a few of these tricks straight away but the more comfortable you get the better, you'll get to a point where you'll feel confident enough to start trying these skills.
-Chris H
I am documenting my process learning to ride the unicycle. I am thinking of using this video as my end goal. Once i can ride the unicycle and do all these trick, i will end the series. I am still working on just staying up right now. I can go forward, but i can't stop or turn. Any suggestions?
The only thing that will make you more comfortable is being on the saddle as much as possible and just riding it
👍!!!
Excellent. Can't help thinking riding backwards is a trick, for me it's still just about impossible..... :)
These are meant to be beginner tricks for aspiring Street/Flatland unicyclists. Things like riding backwards isn't really a trick, it's more of a riding stance. Good luck with it, just takes practice :).
-Chris
My best unicycling trick is MUni( mountain unicycling). I suck at tricks( partially cause my fat 24” wheel).
I can do 8 of those.. still can't uni spin without holding onto something and I can't do the foot plant thing but now that I watched this im pretty sure I can do it now.. I want to go try 👍
Yeah footplants are strange... And I think it's easier footplanting on an obstacle instead of flat ground. We'll make a better tutorial for them in the future! And if you can unispin while holding onto something I'm sure you can do a real one too!
-Chris H
To do a bunny hop do u have to idle or can you do it mid riding??
That's a good question, I think I'll work on a video around bunny hops.
But to answer your question, you can do it mid riding, just practice riding slow, then when you want to bunny hop, straighten your legs and lock your knees, then use the uni like a pogo stick.
You can practice bunny hops while holding onto some support, then letting go, seeing how many hops you can do, then grabbing back onto your support.
-Chris H.
Wow
this guy's from new Zealand. He's boss.

Is the 90 unispin really easier than the 180 unispin? I would've thought landing on the tire is harder.
It really depends on what you practice. You can practice tire hop by mounting directly to the tire, once you're comfortable with that you just need to find a way back to the pedals. Getting onto the tire from pedals is easy if you do part unispin part body varial, it's the best way to do the trick if you lack the strength/technique to spin the unicycle a full 180.
-Chris
My response to "do a trick" so far has been "What do you want, I'm already on a unicycle"...
Hey I was told that you are supposed to jump on the arm and not on the pedal to avoid twisting your hub... is that true or is it just for cheap unicycle?
This would help with keeping your hub straight, but basically if you can't jump on your pedals without fear of twisting your hub, your unicycle isn't made for jumping :P. BUT if you're only doing basic bunny hops to start in one spot, or things like seat drops and leg wraps, then jumping as close to the hub makes sense. I don't recommend doing any drops on your unicycle.
-Chris H.
I would like to try this but I swear everyone would take the piss outta me hopping around on one of these 😂😂
i keep watching this vid
I'm crippled, so can I get out and do these tricks right now
Where do you buy a good quality unicycle? The ones on Amazon look so cheap! Thanks matey!
Have you found a durable one yet? You might have to spend upwards around $250 and up. Impact, Qu-ax, mad4one, Kris Holmes are a few of the top quality ones.
When you do the seat drop, how do you get the seat to come back up?
When you drop the seat you lean forward, the frame should catch on your shoe, then you kind of jerk backwards to shoot the seat back up.
Let me know if that makes sense to you.
-Chris
Jeff Chamblee I just bend down fast pick it up then ride away.. gotta find ur balance :)
Who does not have an unicycle right now.
I Watched this video like a year ago and I thought I couldn't do any or these but a just came back and realised I can do like 7 or 8 out of these 10.
How did you learn them???
@@hudulu4933 pracise, time and patients lol
one wheel only yeah but my barrier is fear of falling off rather then not practicing enough. I do a lot of circus tricks, and the ones I can never do are the ones that could result in injury, cause I just don’t do it properly because I am too scared... same reason I could never to tricks on a skateboard aha. How do you get over this??
@@hudulu4933 I'm the same, the ones I can't do are the ones that are possibly dangerous but for things like 180 spins and backwards Unicycling I digest practising on grass, also work slowly towards the end trick E.g when practising a 180 spin try to jump 45 then 90 then 180
one wheel only thanks man! I can do the 180 spin static, but not when I am moving. I’ll try on grass because I have only ever ridden on concrete. The one I am really struggling with is the no footer jump
what kind of unicycle would u recommend?
Really depends what type of unicycling you want to do. But anything Kris Holm/Mad4one or the higher end Impact unicycles, I'd recommend.
CH.
Yeah Boy! :D You should Make more videos like this! :D Do you use camera or phone for filming?
Canon! On this day we shot in 720p. And yeah we have more top 10's coming! Any suggestions?
-Chris H.
PrettyGoodChannel Top 10 greatest move in unicycleing all time. I mean lines, jumps, slides or something from videos :D
YES! I agree! Would be so nice to watch... For me, that is what I want to watch. But I think there are more beginner unicyclists that will benefit from these tutorial style top tens. In the future I will make some best of unicycling top tens. Top 10 lines would be great to watch... Top 10 most dangerous street/trials stunts...
For now, I will stick to the tutorial style, while I get better at presenting and editing.
-Chris H
What type of unicycle is this ???
Question: I've been Unicycling for about a year and a half and I'm very confident at doing sharp turns, free mounting, and doing any sort of activity while remaining stable and fast. Before when I was only biking, I was pretty much only into long distance rides. I never had a smaller bike or did any bmx style tricks. I want to diversify my skillset into Muni and touring, but there are some critical things I cant for the life of me do. I've been practicing forever, yet I still cant go backwards or idle in place. Pathetic, right? I was once told that the smaller the wheel, the easier it is to learn these things. I only ride unicycles 28 inches and larger. But I'm only interested in getting a smaller unicycle to learn tricks that are applicable to
functional riding. Is it worth it you think? I'm wondering how much time and resources I should put into learning tricks if I only want to do touring and muni riding.
i got my uni just over a year ago and im still trying to idle
Hey so I have a Nimbus 24" mountain unicycle are there any tricks I can't/can do?
Definitely easier on a smaller wheel. But you can for sure still learn all of these tricks. They 180unispin and 90 might be a bit harder.
-Chris
PrettyGoodChannel Thanks
،What should be the air standard
hi chris

Thanks :)
What unicycle is that and where can you get it? Thanks!
Search online for www.unicycle.com my unicycle is a mix of different parts, mostly KH/Nimbus/Mad4one.

Riding a unicycle.
which size is that uni
It's a 19'' trials. 20'' with the tyre.
-Chris H.
I can do the seat drop but barely ride a unicycle
What size is your wheel? 18 or 20?
20''
where is a good place to buy a nice uni and parts?
Where are you from? Depends highly on your location. For most people they can get parts from the international supplier unicycle.com
-Chris H
Jeremy Cassidy I get all my uni stuff off of unicycle.com :)
If I look at his pants long enough they start to look like bear legs XD
I cant even go on a unicycle without holding or leaning onto something
If I’m learning is it a bad idea to hold the seat with one hand
If you're learning to ride, yes. Only hold the seat if you're doing something that needs it. Try our learn to ride tutorials:
