Another good way to learn how to ride a unicycle is a pool table. I taught myself in 1982 before youtube. He's right, just find something to hold on to and keep practicing and you will get it.
I think that the hardest thing to learn was how to put my second foot on the pedal. How to put my weight up. It's the trickiest part I think. Once you get it, it should get easier.
I keep hearing unicyclists talking about "hockey rinks". What country or state is this where you have hockey rinks just out in the open? I'm in midwest USA and I've never seen such a thing. Here hockey is played in an ice arena as far as I know.
@@UpcomingJedi I didn't ask where one COULD ride. I clearly asked about his use of the term "hockey rink". I'm really not sure what's happened to people's English comprehension (or lack thereof) after COVID. Let me guess... you took a jab or three. Figures. Or maybe you're from Canada, Eh? Brain frozen Eh? Too much beer Eh?
As an mtf trans unicyclist, I suggest cis male unicyclists look into “tucking”. Sorry to be so medically accurate but… depending on the size of your buttocks, penile length and depth of tuck, you may or may not end up pinching your penis. HOWEVER, with a good tuck (drag and trans communities have plenty of tutorials) your testicles will be kept genuinely safe under most circumstances. If it makes you feel better about it, just tell yourself “safety isn’t gay” or whatever. Regardless, your balls will thank me, even if your pride doesn’t.
I have a 27.5 and I just started learning! It feels a little bit big but I'm trying to learn! I can ride maybe one or two rotation of the wheel right now haha
So far the most detailed unicycle tutorial I've found. Well done!

This helps! Thanks and I'm going to watch the juggling videos later! Can you do both simultaneously?
Really helpful informative thumbs up 👍
thanks for teaching if you don't need the silver unicycle sell it
thanks for the tutorial :)
Nice tutorial
First unicycling tutorial that mentions looking after your boys. Crushed mine a few times today and put on some trunks! 🤢🤮
Thank you Chuck
I always get: Hey Buddy, you seem to have LOST one of your WHEELS.
And it still gets on my Nevers.
I'd just say, "yea I'm lookin for it"
You should just say "nah, I found one!"
Just say “my other wheel is on my other unicycle” haha
I say “have you seen a lonely wheel rolling around ?” But those other responses are good!
Very helpful. Thanks!
I was 12, 20 " pedal strokes seamed to short. Preferred 24". Learned inside of a in ground pool, continuous laps, remember change direction.

Cool hair dude
I want to learn unicycle .
Isnt a fence a bad idea because if you fall, grab the fence and your fingers get caught, you might lose one?

You can buy inline skates for when its warm or go use a skatepark.

i think every learner thinks i am a weirdo when i talk about how to not sit on their balls😢
Honestly I think he should have mentioned some other methods of how people get started.
Just got a 16
I have been riding for awhile now, but will suddenly hit an unseen bump and be shot off the unicycle like superman. Ouch.
