As we delve into the intricate web of challenges faced by both automakers and consumers, a multifaceted narrative unfolds, intertwining the United Auto Workers strikes, a surprising slump in the electric vehicle market, and corporate decisions that echo through the industry. This comprehensive exploration will provide an in-depth analysis of the intricate dynamics at play, shedding light on the interconnectedness of labor disputes, market forces, and corporate strategies
The United Auto Workers strikes, now spanning over 40 days, have taken a dramatic turn as more than 5,000 workers at GM's Arlington assembly plant join the nationwide strike. The significance of this development cannot be overstated, considering Arlington's status as one of GM's most profitable full-size truck plants. Specializing in manufacturing popular models like Chevrolet Suburbans, Tahoes, GMC Yukons, and Cadillac Escalades, the Arlington plant has become the epicenter of the United Auto Workers fight for fair wages and job security.

Price has little to do with the sales of EVs. Biden listened to a small group of people and tried to force EVs when nobody wanted one. We should have learned from Harley-Davidson's mistake about electric vehicles. EV will never work from not having the grid to the inconvenience.

A little out of date. The strike against GM was settled two days ago. The long term effects of the large pay increase will be large, particularly against factories that assemble EVs including the Lyriq.
If GM is to survive, it needs to quickly design and build EVs that actually make money. See megacasting and high interest rates.

Or go back to doing what they do best. Make affordable, reliable, safe, ICE cars.
