- X-FDBK is an invaluable stage tool that quickly identifies and surgically removes the feedback-frequencies, allowing you to begin your mix from a clean slate. Watch the live sound experts from MxU walk through the Waves X-FDBK plugin. Learn more: www.waves.com/...

This video is in tribute to and in memory of Andrew Stone.
Used this plugin live. Stereo bus insert with UMC202HD and Reaper. Wonderful.
What was the delay like?
@@seekyeefirstforsound somewhere around 10-15ms round trip. 48KHz 16bit with 128 buffer
Wow very informative and good explanation and very innovative plugin 😘 love you waves
Love the spontaneous banter...
If the graph of the filters is correct, it took out almost the entire low(mid) band (from +/- 160Hz to 600Hz) by more than 20dB. Ofcourse, that stops the ringing but it bet the mic sounded like shit after that, without any low end.
I don’t like these kind of plugins because of that reason. I always just listen and if needed use an analyser and manually adjust the EQ, so that i have a good balance between sound quality and gain before feedback.
That's what he basically said, he did said that you could use it as a starting point to just avoid wasting time to find frequencies, the plugin would find them and notch them then you adjust them according to you...
Remember the Sabine fdback eliminator? These things are always highly objectionable, even to the audience.
@@RDYC i don't know that one but i haven't found a FB eliminator yet that works like i would want it to. Doing it manually, if needed with analyzer, still works best for me!
Feedback is a ultimate sign that you doing something wrong with monitors . So its better to check your stage setup than surgically punish whole mix...
While this is true, if you have a situation to occur in the middle of a show and you are managing a large amount of outputs, this would serve as a quick and immediate fix, allowing you to pay more attention to the rest of the mix.
It’s just that the sound environment of some venues is not ideal…
Looks like you missed the point of this demonstration video here. I haven't been to many shows where the FOH engineer is the main act.
Sounds like someone with no experience in bad rooms or with quiet singers.
@@kronk358 exactly 😅😅
Perfect
Please for the love of god update the look of the LV1 for PC in a 1920x1080 format. Only thing stoping me from buy it.
May I know the name of the track or intsrumental that plays at the intro?
ive try to use my plugin live ,, at home works perfeclty but live ,, theres always that latency that is to perceptible... even with best computer and exttern souncard . pro always dislike using plugin live ,,, hope there will be a time we gone a use it with no perceptible latency . they say u dont get it when it come with the big console wich is very more expensive.
Latency is minimal for me. Using rme audio interface. I wish waves would produce this as a stand-alone plugin for ipad/iphone.
There is zero latency on this plugin. It is your host, buffer size in your host, automatic delay compensation from other plugins causing that.
