Joe, you are awesome and your videos are really helpful! The VSC video was what brought me to your channel and I’m here to stay. I have been looking for a good gain structure video for LV1 and woke up this morning and here it is! As always, amazing content my guy!
That's a great idea. I don't use tract myself and I'm awful at Smaart. But I should really track someone down to do this. I would like to learn as well. Thanks for the tip.
If you use the Ionic preamps you can chose mic or line level (same place as the options for HMX and impedance). As far as I know, choosing line level will bypass the preamp. Another way would be to go TRS into the stagebox rather than XLR. That would do the same thing.
The gain structure tutorial I didn’t know I needed! Thanks for this! Will absolutely share this with my team.
That's awesome, glad it can be of some help. And you should be able to apply most of this to any console.

I use dsp pro 4000.and this stagebox doesn't have combo xlr (mic and line) .how to do in this scenario?
In that case it might not be possible to bypass the mic preamp. I've never used the 4000 so I'm not sure.
Thank you🙏for yor answer
