When we say pick up truck, in our mind we usually refer to something like Chevy C-10 old models. And we would use it for farming, contracting or as the second car in rural areas. However modern full size pickup trucks went sooo far from those. They could serve you as luxury family car, as grocery getter, daily driver, road trips or malls crawlers. The $100K price is too much though, agree.

The retail was $26,005 on the sticker and the salesman said I could have it for $21,000 at 1.5% interest for 72 months with no money down and no payments for two months. I bought it because Ford, Chevy, GM and Toyota would not budge on the price. It's in excellent shape with 50K on the odometer here in Florida. I'm looking at an easy 10 more years. Great video. Sales taxes in our state used to be 3%. There were no add on stickers. You negotiated the best discount from MSRP, paid the sales tax and something like $15-$25 for tag and title and that was it. Its amazing how expensive new cars are. Ive been wrenching on cars for 40 years. Some of the basics are very similar, but all the sensors and safety stuff is expensive. All this technology to squeeze out a few more mpg's. And people wanted all this luxury inside the car, so they made it. How much time do you really spend in your car? Usually, 15-20 minutes twice a day. Which means 99% of the time you are paying a huge payment for something that sits and loses value close to all of the time. My newest car is a 2005 Escalade. My oldest is a 66 Lemans. I drive the Lemans most of the time. It's more fun to drive a car that was built to drive, not built like a living room.

Had ~20,000 miles on the car and already had transmission work done on it 3 time with me paying the final rebuild. Now the difference in cost between a molar 700hp rated transmission was only $400.00 more after rebuild. So now the dealership had me pay for know garbage of a transmission rebuild vs a 5 year 100 000 mile warranty on an over built molar transmission. This crap is the reason why they are having problem. With my treatment I will never give another dollar to the local Dodge dealer because of this abuse. Nor will I encourage my children to buy from them.

Stellantis here in Brazil produces cars that cost $3,000 and sells them for $30,000. Vehicles that have even received a zero-star rating from Latin N-Cap (the collision test). It's a shame, but here in Brazil we don't have the options that you have there in North America.

@@Jazzmarcel I invite you to know south of Brazil. I'm moving to Posadas, Argentina. I'll live in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguai to pay less taxes. Honda doesn't sell Fit in Brazil anymore. A really reliable car.

Let them all go under, for all I care. That’s how the free market system is supposed to work.
You’d have thought Ford, GM, Chrysler would’ve all learnt their lessons from the bailout of 2009 at our expense.
At this point, I wouldn’t trust any brand new makes other than Toyota and Mazda.
And the UAW can all kiss my ass.

The problem with the big three and others is their building cars people can't afford. They know what the median income of people who is and they refuse to build vehicles appropriately. This can only be incompetence at the CEO level.

Semantics but factually not correct that they're "OUT OF BUSINESS". A technical lie and clickbait, just like your 'going out of business' content for Ford and Nissan videos. Stellantis has not filed for bankruptcy protection in the US; not yet at least. Closing a factory or two, stopping a brand, and structuring does not equate to "out of business" Have some credibility in posting the same content over-and-over for year-after-year. A great money schtick however with two channels always posting highly similar content time and again. That said, Stellantis products are garbage and out of touch.
