    Dear Freddie.
My name is Mark Daniels. My brother Paul contracted HIV in 1987 when he ran away from home. He went to London chasing a dream of a professional dancer. Sadly it never happened.
He returned home with us in 1990 and told his family he was infected and his heart broken along with our family and it finally took him in January 2020.
My brother was beautiful and had a hearty of gold and for everything bad he did he regretted.
When he died I reflect to this song because the pain was there but the love was genuine l. I love u Paul and you Freddie.
Friends or Stangers is irrelevant. Your hearts oozed love and sincerity
    I love you x
    Mark Daniels x

Just watching this makes me tear up. He literally could barely move, his voice was thinner, and he was getting skinner by the minute. With AIDS he was still able to bring joy to the world one last time. Watching this you can just notice that he can't even move like he could because he was to weak to move. It's crazy how he's been gone for 32 years now. He was never afraid to embrace himself. And he never dies because he lives with his songs and will never leave the hearts of a Queen fan and the band Queen itself. Love and miss you Freds

By coincidence I only discovered this song for the first time a little over 4 years ago, on the same day we found out my wife had metastic cancer. She passed away 2 weeks ago and I'm finally strong enough to listen to this song, but not without emotionally powerful weeping. Like Freddie my wife showed so much grace right up to the end. I'm glad I will be able to come back to this song from time to time and remember our 29 years together.

Queen and especially Freddie was my late wife's first go to, we saw them at Wembley, alas my wife had cancer, it took over our lives for four years finally claiming hers March 2015, I was/am still devastated, not a day goes by without my shedding a tear still. This song in particular brings back memories of the extraordinary love we had for each other, as I like Freddie, am a two sided coin. We were married 47 years, together 49 in all. R.I.P. my love, my friend , my soul mate.

Queen begins and ends with Freddie. He embodied the band's identity, it's triumphs and failings and he was the psyche whose loss it couldn't survive. He was more than just a singer. He was a charismatic genius, not afraid to go after what he wanted. He inspired not only as a writer and as a musician and as a performer but ultimately as a man. He died young, he lived his life to the full and he crammed in an amazing amount of music. More than most people could in five lifetimes. What a brave and courageous man. He never dies because he lives in his songs and our hearts. Love you...Xoxox ❤

I agree 100%! And I salute John Deacon for understanding and respecting his memory. He knew that Queen was over when Freddie drew his last breath. I love Brian May and Roger Taylor, but like you said: Freddie wasn’t just a singer, he was the soul of Queen. Nothing and no one will ever get close to what this man was for this band! Saddest loss in the music world!

I can’t help but feel that Freddie was fighting for the energy to be as animated as he was in this video. My parents used to live in the neighborhood of adjacent from Freddie’s in South Kensington, London. At the time they were just dating, and myself and my sister weren’t even a thought. They saw Freddie a handful of times just out and about. They never meddled, they just saw him as a normal guy. My father said the last time he saw Freddie in the Fall of 1991, he was walking with what looked like either an assistant or a friend. He described how he walked very slowly, because he was likely in pain due to the illness, but the moment he felt he was being noticed, he’d speed it up some. He even flashed a nod of assurance towards my father, I guess to try and rid the look of concern on father’s face. When I think of Freddy, I also think of Prince. Both of them have some much common when it comes to privacy and keeping up appearances. They didn’t like sympathy, being coddled, special treatment, or too many questions. I often wonder if having this strict approach to life can contribute to it ending prematurely? Maybe I’m reaching.

While it is amazing to see this colorized, it is sad as to the reason why they made it black & white in the first place. Do you know what amazes me about this video?... Freddie was so riddled with cancer and so weak when this was filmed he was on the brink! Yet he conveys such strength and is telling us all to remain positive. His wish to develop was often mis-understood... as is mine. God, I never knew him - but I hope you are looking after him because you hold a hidden angel in Freddie!

I love how Freddy, despite his immense pain in his last months of his live, even if he couldn't dance anymore at least he trued to deliver us his last dance.

Sometimes I get to feelin' I was back in the old days, long ago When we were kids, when we were young Things seemed so perfect, you know The days were endless, we were crazy, we were young The sun was always shinin' We just lived for fun Sometimes it seems like lately I just don't know The rest of my life's been just a show Those were the days of our lives The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone now, but one thing is true When I look, and I find, I still love you You can't turn back the clock, you can't turn back the tide Ain't that a shame Ooh, I'd like to go back one time on a roller coaster ride When life was just a game No use in sitting and thinkin' on what you did When you can lay back and enjoy it through your kids Sometimes it seems like lately I just don't know Better sit back and go with the flow 'Cause these are the days of our lives They've flown in the swiftness of time These days are all gone now, but some things remain When I look, and I find, no change Those were the days of our lives, yeah The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone now, but one thing's still true When I look, and I find I still love you I still love you
