The names alone answer your question there’s no such thing as a luxury Chevy 😂 I went over this in the video if you had paid attention. BMW Audi Mercedes all luxury brand names people recognize, Chevy is one of those names that is not synonymous with luxury.
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds Years ago you would have been right, not today. A brand that builds cars that the working class like you and I can afford, it's NOT a REALLY luxury brand. Mercedes is not longer a true luxury brand: Maybach is. Is it Volvo? Ask Geely.
@@AutoAuctionRebuildsyour totally correct. I’ve owned many impalas. They are one of my most favorite cars and even in the LTZ/PREMIER trim. They have some very nice features that can be considered luxurious BUT by no means does that make them a “luxury” car. A Cadillac XTS is basically a luxury impala
You obviously are an offended Chevy fanboy so there’s no point attempting to explain the logic behind it. The simple fact is no matter what Chevy you drive it’s not a luxury car.
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds not a better way to put it then that. I love Chevy,ford,dodge,Hyundai,Kia and pretty much every car brand out there now a days but love them or not. NONE of the cars I listed above are luxury cars. I’ve owned fords for most of my cars. Do i consider my old fully loaded 2006 ford fusion a luxury car then or now. NO. Because it isn’t lol. It never will be

I had a 2012 Impala LTZ, bought it used with 30k on it back in 2013. Fully loaded. It was silver with a beige interior, factory 18 inch rims and a sunroof. The 2012s were the first year to offer the 3.6L and 6 speed auto. It was a great car. I sold it in Nov 2019 and it had about 70k miles on it at the time.
June 2020 I bought a brand new 2020 Impala Premier. Black (inside and out), fully loaded, sunroof, heated and cooled front seats, 20 inch wheels, adaptive cruise control. I still have the car and take really good care of it. The car has been pretty good so far and it has less than 13k miles on it so far (I drove trucks for a while which is why the miles are so low). Only issue I had was when the car was still new, about a week later the A/C stopped working. Took a year for me to finally get around to fixing it. The had to replace the evaporator which is located in the dash. It was covered under warranty but it still was very annoying.
The 2020 Impala is a much better car overall than the 2012 Impala I had. More room inside and better materials, but you are 100% correct. The Impala is NOT a luxury car. I've owned mine for 3 years and I still don't look at my car and say it screams luxury. It is nowhere near that level. Its just a nice premium full size sedan but less than luxury.
I heard that blend door motor clicking on the impala. I’ve replaced 3 of them on that car. 2 are easy one is a pain.
there's 5 of them... D/S & P/S blend, recirculator door and the 2 big ones for D&P side temperature... the temperature ones are a pain!

Back in 2006 i bought the first Nitro delivered into Central kentucky. I loved it! Black on black. Supercool vehicle IMO. Great content as always Randy. And Oscar Mike is the "Freedom Edition", my wife has a Red one that we bought in 2021.

the jeep wheels are like that because the rear brakes are smaller than the fronts...
ie the fronts will be something like 15' discs vs 13' discs for the rear
and the spare will be a 15' size rim (i'm guessing here)
so you need the full size rim at the front to keep it rolling

Luxury is in the eye of the beholder...I had a 2004 Impala LS (top model at the time) with leather, heated seats, sunroof all the goodies...car to me was luxury performed very well, quiet, rode great. To each their own...I can say the same about the 2002 Trailblazer LTZ my wife had loaded to the gills with everything they offered, rode great, quiet and felt like a luxury suv...my uncle who had a Jaguar when we had these I rode in it with him and thought the interior felt cheap and the ride was ok but not great...he loved his car but I thought for what I paid for both of those Chevies I got the better deal...to each his own.

When the Nitro was new I thought they were cool. This girl I went to school withs mom had one when it first came out and I loved it. Was black like yours with the chrome wheels.
An Impala is a nice car but it is not a luxury vehicle.👍
I bought a brand new General Motors Holden SL/X 5-Speed Gemini Sedan back in 1982 in Australia. It was a Special Order so I had to wait for it to come in and I picked it up after work, in the dark and checked it out the next morning. Once I got it out into the Sunlight my Heart sank!! The entire left side of the Car had bad Paint with mottled metallic and shrink back, loads of Filler in the rear Quarter Panel, and Paint brushed over the Guard Bolts and Door Pins.
To top that off the Oil Filler had blown out of the Tappet Cover blowing Oil everywhere under the Bonnet! The Engine was faulty with bad Rings and the Brakes would lock up if you placed your Tow on the pedal as if you pulled the Hand Brake on with the rear Wheels locking up!
I took it back immediately the next Morning before opening time and they actually told me "To go F**k myself!
I tried every thing, even bringing a Solicitor onto the case, but I could not prove that they knew it was damaged, and they counter-claimed that me being a Panel Beater, had smashed it on my way home Saturday night and repaired it the next day.
Unfortunately Australia does not have Lemon Laws like the US.
I SWORE I would NEVER Buy another NEW GM Car again. And I have not. I have owned many Used GM Cars since, but would not piss my money away on buying another new one after how I was treated!
After GM shutting Holden manufacturing down I cannot wait for them to fall on their own Sword! Many American's LOVE the Pontiac GTO Coupes, Pontiac G8 Sedans, Chevrolet SS Sedans and Caprice PPV's that Holden built for Chevrolet and sold in the US. Many are also pissed when GM closed Pontiac down, missing out on the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck (new El Camino) they were about to receive.

I've owned several Impalas and currently have a 2012 Impala. It's a big car by today's standards but they're the most reliable cars I've ever owned.

The Gladiator's transfer case may be damaged on the right side. At the very least, the right front axle shaft is probably bent or broken.
I bought a A6 Hybrid 2014 two years ago, a good car and loving it.
Randy had a 07 impala ss what a fun car. Loved it
Buick is considered a premium brand. It is supposed to compete with Chrysler, Mazda, Acura and Infiniti. However, Buick nowadays do not have the actual models to compete with Mazda, Acura and Infiniti. And Chrysler only has two models 300 and Pacifica minivan. To me, luxury is Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac, Lexus, Lincoln, Genesis, Land Rover and Jaguar etc.
I have 2015 impala ltz.. had it for 3yrs good car but everything is expensive headlight bulb was 80 bucks a piece

Hello Randy. The Dodge Nitro is a good looking SUV. The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is a good looking Jeep.
The Buick LeCross is a nice car, but not a luxury car. It kinda fits in what was once referred to as the ‘near luxury’ class. Better than regular, but not quite premium.
The LaCrosse? I think its called "upscale" its like leaving just one La out of La-di-dah
A Chevy Impala is not a luxury car. Cadillacs are luxury cars, yet still. Chevy Impalas are well built and have a very good looking interior and exterior.
Impala's were cool in the mid 1990's when they had the corvette engine.

My late father has a 2007 SS with only 59,000 miles on it and that car in my honest opinion is a monster the cold start on it with no mods sounds just ufffff one day I’ll own it and try to keep it as my dad left it

I have a 2011 jeep liberty which is kinda the same thing but i love that thing.
I had a rental nitro once. I loved it, it just needed a manual and it would have been gold.
Honestly, I haven't had much luck with base models such as plastics coming off bumpers, not fitting correctly.

I like the Impalas from the previous gen compared to the new one. But you are right! American luxury is Lincoln and Cadillac not Chevy and ford.

That Buick was the closest thing to a luxury Impala.
If you bought a 2016 Impala LT it would have come from the factory with remote start if it doesn't have it on the key then someone programmed a non remote start key for it. Anything over the LS trim comes with factory remote start. I've had 4 impalas so far and loved every one of them. Super reliable cars especially if you keep up with your regular maintenance on them.
What makes a car a luxury car? Where I live Mercedes,BMW,Jaguar,Rolls Royce,Aston Martin,Bentley etc are branded as luxury cars in Europe and like in many places around the world.

Always thought the Nitros were neat. Playing catch up on videos after storms knocked out internet and power in the Ozarks.
Actually, the previous gen impala is still bigger, wider , and longer than the new Malibu.
On the gladiator I'm pretty sure the upper and lower control arms are bent I bent my lower control arm on my Mojave and it cost me 175 and about an hour to replace

I've always preferred Buick over the rest. They're a higher level of Chevrolet without going to Cadillac, which I'm also quite fond of. I'm 65and have always liked the land yachts.

An Impala IS NOT A LUXURY CAR. Its an old person's car (which is sort of the same thing). If you want a GM luxury sedan, buy a Buick LaCrosse (which still barely counts).

At least that previous gen Impala had one iota of dependability left however those newer Malibus will not fare the same way guaranteed. You may be right about newer GM but even as a Buick fan I wouldnt touch that newer one with a 10ft pole. I give the marque 5 yrs tops. Its a shame.

My dream car was a Tacoma. I got a chance to rent one to move my stuff for college. It was sooo slow and dissapointing. It accelerated as slow and sounded like a big truck despite being tiny and only able to haul around 5000 lb.

@@bloomerdavid The airport ran out of rental cars that day so I was given a truck to drive. I was expecting something like a hybrid Kia, or Malibu. I was classmates with a local, who showed me a few trails in the area. The off-road features were impressive. It's a shame the v6 is so sluggish, I'd honestly sacrifice reliability for something more fun: like a colorado or F-150.
