One can only have control over training as an actor and focusing on the craft. Everything you said doesn't happen because an actor can only do his job, not making himself a commercial actor and everything else. Other stuff that happens in the film industry are not priorities. Audience should watch this film and help make it a success.

In the end people only talk about one or other. Either Gandhi was Britishers puppet either Savarkar was weak to write petition. And don't consider it as two different ideologies using two different approach on situation.
And these biopic tends to worship 1 person. Like how Netaji Bose grandson says Netaji wasn't inspired by Savarkar. I just wanna say one can respect others while not agreeing with them, as Netaji was the one to give Gandhi fathe of nation title while being in clear opposition.
I m sure in biopic of Gandhi the entire credit would be given to him, or anything. Almost making it seems like independence movement was led by one person not the collective effort of countless leaders.

8:40 Bose's grandson is a political person, earlier with BJP now in TMC. He will paint Bose in light of his current political affiliations. I will rather place my reliance on anyone who have read several books on Bose rather than his grand nephew. There are several incidents in many books where it is established that Bose's INA, Savarakar book is given when one enters with other tools to fight. Same with Bhagat Singh's HRSA, the reading of book of Savarkar is prerequisite. So ya your sensibilities may not like it but people of past were more open to each others ideas.

I have the '60s editions with me.
Entire letters between Bose and Savarkar are cited in the third volume of that trilogy.

Brilliant film! One thing I would like to add about the Subhash Chandra Bose connection. Rasbihari Bose who founded the INA was not just a revolutionary from the same era as Savarkar's revolutionary years, but he was also the president of Hindu Mahasabha branch in Japan. No wonder he was in touch with Savarkar through his letters. Therefore even though it might be debatable if Savarkar directly inspired Netaji or gave him the elaborate strategy to attack with the help of Germans and Japanese, Savarkar connecting Netaji with Rasbihari Bose and setting him on his eventual path to leas INA is quite likely to have happened.

    Terrific role by Randeep Hooda.
I felt as if I am watching Veer Savarkar on big screen. Power in his eyes, his conviction, character portrayal, dialogue delivery, body language and the confident way he describes his ideology was phenomenal. Watched a brave biopic like this after a long time. Salute to Randeep Hooda. Everyone must go and watch this movie in theater.
Movie describes whole journey of Veer Savarkar Ji from young age till the end. His contribution in freedom struggle of India 🇮🇳 was unimaginable and huge. He was sent to Kaala Paani Saza for nearly 15 years. He was brutally tortured over there and was treated in an inhumane manner.
Dialogue delivery by Randeep bhai is just awesome. This movie consists of 5-6 scenes which will surely give you goosebumps.

      3) And when he was freed from jail why didn't he rise against the British?
In short he remained a humble SLAVE of the British after they put some bamboo through his @ss. His will to fight went down the drain when he received PENSION from the British Raj and shut his mouth with cold hard cash from the British. He was no true PATRIOT. His patriotism died when the Brits shoved a laathi through his @ss in the jail and then shut him up with hush money unlike Bhagat Singh or Sukhdev (who had to be killed in order to stop them, and torture did nothing to them ,that they can be silenced so easily ).

@@thefreegamer7928 hi bro, delayed due to work so couldn't immediately reply. To answer your questions:
      1. Why mercy petition? - for example if any of your or my family members are arrested, what would be the first step? Bail right? During british times before 1915 when jail reforms were not there in place, they did not cal it bail instead called it mercy petition. Anyone against the crown were asked to apologise this way. Now, why should a 28 year old man with full of life want to rot in that hell rather than try to come out?
2.why pension? - The moment he was arrested, british confiscated his wealth, family property, his law degree and every single penny he had. What do you think he should do to live? It was his confiscated wealth which was being given back in the form of pension.
3.When freed why didnt he fight back? - Seriously? He was arrested at the age of 28. 12 years spent in hell hole and tortured, further two years in house arrest. When he set out full of life, these british sucked tge life out of him. Further more he was again and again troubled for various other revolts such as mr.gandhi's demise etc. And do you know why he was arrested in the first place? Because he published a book that was written by a communist. And why would Savarkar be interested in publishing communist written ideology? Because at that time Nation Came First over everything else. Forget youtube videos, forget movies, read the book published by Vikram Sampath - a well known historian. Read more and more and then tell me bro!

Being the lead actor, the director and co producer all together is one thing, but leaving that pressure behind and diving into the depts of the character with ruthless physical transformation just to try and honestly convey the story is truly a master class of acting and Sir Randeep Hooda deserves all the praises for the same. The Kalapani sequence portrayed on screen still brings shivers. Sir Randeep Hooda has just penned the definition of dedication for an actor in a character role. A man of great intellect, educated in UK to be barrister yet attached to national interest. He lost prime years under inhumane captivity…it is wonder that he outlasted the torture. To vilify him in any way, will be great dis service to self. Death of son, 29 years of captivity, helplessness in not being able to contribute despite great ideas and great vision, one must research into the times and life of Savarkar. Indeed if you read, the tallest leaders of India independence struggle would be Savarkar, Subhash Bose and Patel and not really Gandhi and Nehru.

btw, I just want to point out a fun fact here, around 6 minute, 45 second mark, we see a clip of maharaja bowing to the British. That particular maharaja was Maharaja Sayaji Rao Gaekwad of Baroda and what he did was also an act of resistance in its own right, in the Delhi Durbar, Maharajaj had to appear in full uniform, bow thrice and and leave without turning their backs.
Maharaja Sayaji Rao did not appear uniform and upon casually approaching the throne, only did one tiny bow and left while turning his back, this was admirably considering that the Maharaja of Kashmir and Hyderabad who had come before him had followed everything told by the British.

This is a weird cope. If the film flops it'll be on the audience not watching & not some conspiracy. And nothing anti-India about not liking a film.

Recently I saw a post about Randeep Hooda's transformation on Instagram and someone (yk who) commented ki "Transformation karne se kya hota hai, acting aani chaye". I smiled and didn't even bother to reply that guy.
