Symmons Tub & Shower Valve Repair with Trim Upgrade

We had a service call from a 106 year old client in Chelmsford MA. Yes 106 yerars old! Her tub and shower was leaking and not mixing the water temperature properly. And the handle was very tough for her to turn. We had to shut down the water to the home. Remove the Symmons existing faceplate. Remove the internal TA-10 pressure balancing anti scald spindle. Furnished and installed new TA-10 spindle. Greased all moving parts so it would be easy for her to turn. Installed new Allure trim faceplate and lever handle for her to more easily turn it on and off. She is very happy now. 106 Amazing 😳 and she climbed the stairs no problem to come up to see that it was easy to do!

first video i have seen that actually shows how to turn it on which is what I been wondering how to do… for some reason my contractor has the lever facing up instead of down and what does that bottom one do after you turned it on?
