- First time ever watching a Champions League final live for us, and it did not disappoint!
Nissan Stadium can always feel a bit dreary, with that running track really setting you far away from the pitch, and when it's not full you definitely, definitely feel it. Happily though, it was packed to the rafters and the atmosphere was booming - the best I've ever seen for a game held in Japan.
The downside of this is that queues were insane and it was a real struggle to get any food and drink...but you know what, we didn't even care. The game was a banger and is one that will live long in the memory. What a day.
Special shoutout to both sets of fans, as you were all great and kept the atmosphere positive and friendly all game. Legends.
One question though - why does this game need to be played over two legs? Seems like madness to us..

Al-Ain are a tough opponent, the second-leg could go to penalties. I have a feeling either Lopes or Nam will score the first goal and Uenaka will score another late into the second-half. Big if's but I am a gambling man lol.
Big ifs indeed. Marinos dominated the first leg in terms of overall chances and attacking play, but when Al-Ain went forward they looked so much more clinical and dangerous. If Marinos sit back they’re gonna be taken apart, hope they go for it and play for the win!

Pretty sure the keeper in the vid is third choice, just a young lad. He did make me a few decent saves, but definitely felt a bit nervous watching him. A good experience for him though!
