Two questions. Have you started to see any effect on moisture in the yard with last years tree? This type of tree doesn’t need the root ball separated some to allow roots to take hold faster?
I have not noticed any moisture differences. I’ve talked to different tree people over the years and breaking up the root ball is the most contested thing. Some say you should, some say you shouldn’t. I don’t based on the theory that when you break it up, you are putting the tree under stress.
