That sure is one handsome guy. Sheeeeesh
You wouldn't happen to be biased though!
I couldn’t agree more! 🔥 🤤
Absolutely
The most reliable source
I can’t recommend this printer enough, it’s absolutely amazing
Got this as my first printer and it has hardly stopped. I have been throwing so much at it just to learn and the printer eats it all. Any mistakes in the print are my fault trying to get a better feel for things. Love it so far and cant wait to get things dialed in more
Elegoo makes wonderful FDM printers. My Neptune 2s are absolute work horses 😎
This was so helpful! I've been thinking about getting a printer to get into cosplay but had no idea where to start. Especially for the price, this looks like a great first printer.
Thank you!!
Just bought, will be here on the 15th so excited
Just bought this printer for my son two weeks ago. Setup was easy and was ready to go in just a few minutes. The Buddha test print that came with it came out great, and then tried printing a model sliced with the included version of Cura. This came out with major under extrusion, like I've never seen. Really puzzling after the test print had come out so well. An old video from Tomb of 3D Horrors suggested a possible remedy. Turned out that the provided PLA profile was set for 2.85 mm instead of 1.75. Once this was corrected, everything worked fine. Seems to be a good choice, especially considering the price. Don't know why they went with using a micro SD card instead of SD or USB, but that is a minor annoyance. The PEI coated flexplate is great, and I would not get another printer without one. The Neptune 3 Pro has just come out, so prices have dropped on the Neptune 3. I'm seriously considering replacing my old Artillery Sidewinder X1 with the Neptune 3 Plus (build volume 320x320x400mm) when that is released.
The Plus JUSt got delivered to my door so stay tuned for that review
@@FranklyReviewed If I held out for the Plus, would I sacrifice anything? Does a bigger printer mean less detail?
@@garyh8997 Hello, it shouldn’t lower detail if using same nozzle but might be a bit slower. Hope this helped!
I just got the Neptune 3 pro and while having print issues I really like it. This is my first 3D printer fyi... First layer seems to be my problem...
I’ve seen so many folks flocking to this printer. Definitely gonna pick up a few now
Just got one of these in the mail yesterday, excited to try it out. Thanks!
Edit: this has restored my faith in FDM printing, it's been great!!! Fought with my Chiron for ages, swapped to resin, now I'm back to fdm because of this thing.
Yeah the Chiron isn’t the best printer in the world but whenever I need a big print it’s helpful
I recently bought a Mars 4 resin printer as my entry into 3D printing. I'm starting to have buyer's remorse as resin printing involves handling toxic chemicals, washing, curing, properly disposing of the dirty wash, and a whole slew of other precautions I have to worry about. I should have started with a nice, simple FDM printer like this one.
I love mine, and cant wait to get the Plus to replace my super old CR-10 printers
You mention that you would link all of the items that you printed down below, but I don't see them! They seem really cool and I'd love to print some of the different ones.
this is my first printer I was in on the first pre order I have have pretty much been running it non stop since I hag my hands on it in July as a 3d printing newbie it has been so easy for me it pretty much just works any problems I have had have been me learning and making mistakes on my end not the machines I know this isn't the case for all onnthe Neptune 3 reddit there are some who have had difficulties with it but my experience has been great
I have kids interested in miniature tabletop games and "ball jointed doll" designing. We used the Elegoo Mars for a while, and it had great detail, but the resin is too brittle. Can the Neptune give decent detail for minis, and can the FDM process produce sturdy-but-flexible prints for the ball joint assembly, where things need to pop into place without shattering?
Hi, I barely just started 3d printing at my school and i wanted to get a 3d printer of my own and i was wondering which printer i should get. I watched your review video but that was about 1 year ago so i wanted to know if your opions have changed or not. Thx :)
Where did you get that dragon file? Got a Elegoo Neptune 3 pro on the way and I want to try it as first print
I was hoping they’d send you over the plus or max. Anyway, awesome video. Thank you
The plus showed up today! Just built it. Stay tuned
is this a good printer/company for a new to the hobby person like myself? Is it relatively easy to use versus buying someone's used CR-10 or Endfer 3
Great review! Almost jumped the gun and asked about a larger size and then I heard you mention the max. Any Word on when that will be out?
Not sure. My test unit showed up today!
Anyone know where one could find the stl for the flexi dragon? Didnt see it in the description
Im going tommorow to hopefuply buy a cr 10s pro v2 after a lot of serching and almost geting scamed trying to buy one. If i wasn t very sure that i was going to buy the CR10s pro v2 i was defenetly going to see that elgoo because it looks good!!
Hey thanks for the review. I think I will pick one up to replace my BIQU B1. But can you explain what you mean when you say it has its own cura program?
It comes with a clone of Cura with Elegoo on the title page. That’s all
Just wait until the bigger Elegoo printers come out! They might just replace the CR series.
Cool video dude, I've been looking for a new printer myself. I have an og ender 3 and I've done a lot of mods to it. Unfortunately been having issues with it now, I think the aluminum bed is warped now. I think this or the pro version is going to be my next printer. Does this have an all metal hot end?
Sadly no - it has a ptfe tube and comes with 2 replacements in case of damage
Love my Nep3 but I would recommend waiting for the Pro Plus or Max version
@@haunswurznzopf4319 Awesome, I was looking at the pro, I wanna try printing some ninjaflex material and make some cool stuff but I'm having a hard time with the ender and it prefers crocheting the material into a birds nest by the drive stepper motor rather than print my parts :(. I know I can get a direct drive mod for the ender but I've put so much time, effort, and money into what it is now that I'd rather just buy a good printer with the features I want.
Would I be able to make some Deadpool swords on this new to 3D printing so this would be my first printer
Any chance you'll be getting a max version to do a review on? Been looking for something to replace my CR-10 S5 and it is looking promising, especially after seeing your results on a standard.
Maybe the max but my Plus just showed up. Ditch the S5 and wait for the Creality CR-M4
wonder how it would handle petg? just change the abs default setting?
VERY interested in this printer, but having trouble finding it, ele goo’s website says USA is out of stock, and I can’t find anywhere in amazon.
I mean: then it’s probably out of stock 😅
Ok touché, reading that back that does sound pretty redundant
Is this better then the Ender 3 v2?
Ok, you have me looking at it, but i have to ask if you have done a pros and cons on the creality Mill printer. i would like to see your thoughts or see what you have to say
It’s not really meant for cosplay and stuff. It’s meant for tepid prototypes and repetition
Maybe some chain mail or a long sword or Donatello's staff
Frank, if you can, return that printer and get the pro.
1:After 200hours of printing, the right gantry will sag down and will drive you mad by making your bed out of level, scraping it with the nozzle. While you can square with precision blocks or CD cases, a more permanent fix is true dual z or using silicon spacers for the bed and make it “crooked” like your gantry.
2: The adjust z during printing it still not working properly even after you stop and restart the print. You can’t dial in z-axis out of the bed leveling mode.
3: power outage protection is currently disabled in 1.0.5 because of the zits it caused on the print and ir didn’t even worked properly with 1.04.
4: the strain gauge is ok, but BL/induction is way way better.
The pro, max, and plus comes with dual Z and induction ABL. Return it and get the pro.
A positive point is that their cCustomer service is top notch.
Btw, the pro was released and announced after 4 ou 5 months after they delivered the nep 3. With all those flaws, we the early adopters feel that we were shafted by elegoo and got a half baked paid beta test.
I use it for cosplay too. IG: @chainsaw_mano , but it is slowing me down because of the necessary upgrades.
One question: How do i find out what flowrate/movespeed and stuff the printer is actually capable of? I think with my settings that i partially found online some parts are printed slower than necessary? I dont want to break it buy upping all the speeds too much or is it harmless to test the "limits" of what the printer can do?
Really you’d have to adjust and play with print speed. From there test models and see when quality drops
do you have a problem your 3dprinter neptune 3 pro reboot on middle of printer ,first stop and 5 second after the screen reboot and i lost the printer
Wheres the STL Files?
I would get one of these as my first printer if it weren’t sold out T-T
I’ve heard nothing but great things about these.
Hey frank, does it come with 0/500/1000 grams of filament?
500 I think
I owned this printer for a couple weeks now and printed (for my beginner knowledge) some pretty decent models but it feels like the Autoleveling doesnt work properly for me anymore? Couldnt find much information about it - it does the leveling and i can adjust the z-axis but when I actually print the nozzle is much closer to the bed on the left side than on the right which is making big prints fail all the time. Havent found a solution yet. Have you experienced something similar or an idea on how to fix it or what causes it?
Besides that the printer is amazing and its a good entry to 3d printing since its also my first one. Still trying to understand all the settings in the slicer but that doesnt have anything to do with the printer.
I actually managed to resolve the issue!
I think it was 2 things. The Axis where the Extruder is on wasnt Parallel to the printbed. Left side it touched, right side it had 1- 2 mm play for some reason...anyway. After ABL (autobedleveling) the printer should have adjusted for that probably but it didnt because of the G-Code. Since i adapted my G-code from a Neptune 2 it started as any other with G28 but there was no M420 S1 to turn on the Print bed leveling data for the print because G28 actually turns off the the auto leveling. Did both things and printed something over the whole bed and its so consistent and nice!
If anyone has questions lemme know! :)
@@Trickyman95 super appreciate the follow up!!!
im still mad they released the neptune 3 pro like a week after the first one was released
Is this better then the ender 3 v3 se?
No
How fast does it print?
Can print probably upwards of 150-200mms but that’s highly dependent on the part
Do you think this is a good beginner printer for a 12 year old?
Actually yes
I want one but they’re sold out 😭
Hey there, I’m missing them or did you not list the links to the prints you did, maybe my inner blonde 😂
Crud. Working on it! Sorry!
@@FranklyReviewed Thanks, much appreciated.
Its 99 dollars right now!
sadly cheap and great means nothing if its impossible to buy it :/
Yeah they sold out fast
I wouldnt call any V wheel "great" or "amazing"
Why? It works just fine. It’s a good price and reliable like many newer printers. Not everything needs to be linear.
