@@BabyJesus66 It really depends on a lot of factors. I suggest Teaching Tech RUclips channel for finding out which is right for you. I like modifying, so I bought an Ender 3 and just keep upgrading.
@@BabyJesus66 i had the Ender 3 Pro. Hot garbage. Avoid Creality, their customer service is nonexistent and the Ender 3 is OLD tech. By the time you have upgraded everything to the specs of this Neptune 3 Pro, you're spending WAY more than even the Creality S1 Pro. I repurposed the 5 year E3P to recycle soda bottles into filament (Recreator 3D). The Neptune 3 Plus I have now is leaps better. I upgraded to an all metal hotend, CHT clone nozzle, copper heat block, higher temp thermistor for less than $20 bucks. Elegoo is an AMAZING printer. Bambu Lab was on my radar but still too new. This N3+ and Klipper upgrade delay the purchase even longer untill more Bambu competition show up. Hopefully Elegoo is working on one too.
I ordered one of these a few days ago, and it’ll arrive in another few days. This is the best review I ever could’ve found for this printer, and am now feeling very secure in my purchase, especially since this will be the second elegoo I’m adding to my collection.
Your review and testing was absolutely excellent, thank you for making this video and showing all of the different tests + the Klipper implementation with Sonic Pad. Incredible work, thank you again!

I hope you tackle an improved hot end approach to aid others in this work using the 3 Plus as the printer. Thanks for the addition of the Klipper - Creality Sonic Pad in your review - A must addition for my plans for a fast 3 Plus.
Really good review. I have had an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro for almost half a year and so far I love it. Until a few days back I have only printed at 70mm/s with PrusaSlicer. Decided to try to experiment with 240mm/s. This machine is really solid! Been my work horse with my Ikea Skådis setup. Might actually buy another one to replace my Ender 3 lol.
Awesome review. I am continually blow away by your professionalism and presentation skills. I wish you all the best and I'm sure you have a bright future!
This video blew myind! I had no idea my Elegoo Neptune 3 could go this fast. I've been running a Max and found this while trying to squeeze some additional speed out of it. I was expecting like 80mm/s, and you're over here showing off 250mm/s. Thanks for showing s what is possible!

I will buy one with it can go to 300 degrees C or above. I want direct drive hot ends but this unit may need weight reduction to avoid high inertia. Great review. I have a printer farm that needs upgrading, I already have three of their resin printers.
Your tutorial and your prepared Software finally helped me to get the Sonic Pad running with my NE3+. Thank you very much. You are doing a great Job. Greetings from Germany!

Great review. I ordered the Plus over a month ago which should hopefully ship any day now and the Max on Monday when they were back in preorder stock. For the price and features these can’t be beat. I like how they are based on the STM chipset so they can be added to the Sonic Pad easily which I have hooked up to my E3P. I was considering getting the SV06 Plus also but the build quality on Elegoo seems better.
That nylon test is really fascinating...I've shied away from printing nylon because I've felt that even a small area where the filament is exposed to atmosphere would be enough to cause moisture problems. You've got a couple feet of the filament path open to air and that wrench prints beautifully. I might need to dust off the various nylon samples I've accumulated over the years and give them a closer look. Anyway, I can see why so many people are raving about the Neptune 3 Pro - it seems to be the complete package, particularly for people who are on a budget and don't want to spend a lot of time tinkering or troubleshooting. The value of the Plus really stands out, too, as I felt like I got my Artillery Sidewinder X1 for an absolute steal from Gearbest in August 2020 for $359 and the Plus looks to be superior to the X1 in most ways...and sells for $30 less than what I paid for the X1, which was $60 less than what the X1's going rate was on Amazon back then and a whopping $130 less than what the SWX2 is selling for right now. I also love your auxiliary cooling fan setup. I wonder if these kinds of fans will become more popular among modders or in new printers released over the next year or two, given the success of the aux cooling fan on the Bambu Lab printers. And every video I see with the Creality Sonic Pad makes me want to get one more. Creality's dominance in the budget printer market is certainly being threatened with solid offerings from Sovol and Elegoo, but as long as printer manufacturers shy away from Klipper they will have a chance at getting their products into even more homes and businesses with how easy and powerful the Sonic Pad is. Great review, as always!

Thanks a lot, I learned quite a bit - as usual! For example that you can get pretty impressive high speed prints with Klipper on a delrin wheel printer if you have enough part cooling power and you calibrate for vibration first. That's no something I've seen elsewhere. Elegoo looks nice.

Thank you very much for this video. I just the Max as my very first printer (silly I know) and I'm going to keep coming back to this video whenever I try different materials. Excellent review and fantastic information
I appreciate your work Aurora - but was wondering how did you increase the speeds so much without a nozzle change / hot end swap? I am testing my hotend volumetric flow rate with PETG and it seems to be around 7.2mm^3 /s which limits my perimeter print speed to 40/45mm/s
Well done, I tried to grab a Neptune 3 Max once they became available. Unfortunately, I was just a bit late even after getting the notification they were available! Good review looks like decent printers. I've not seen that fume extractor before. I mainly print, PLA, PETG, and carbon nylon. I'm investigating ASA and ABS next so fume control will be more important. Thanks for a great video!
Do you have or would you consider a video dedicated to setting up the sonic pad on the Neptune 3 max? I’m unfortunately not able to entirely understand the instruction in this video. Thanks.

You do a fantastic job in your studio and help many with their decisions. After seeing your Mingda magician review I ordered a machine……now I wonder if you should have bought an Elegoo instead? 🤔🇸🇪
Excellent review! I stumbled across your channel while looking for information on a different printer a few months ago and I've been a happy subscriber ever since! That said, question about your experience with the Neptune 3 Pro. I just picked one up a few weeks ago and absolutely love it but I've been unsure about what nozzles to use when it comes to a 0.6mm or a 8.mm size. Would you mind sharing what nozzles you successfully used? Thank you and keep up the awesome work!
Thanks for the help. I just picked one of these up yesterday after I just couldn't get a Raspberry Pi up and running. I used your files and it connected. It worked a few times and then the extruder started to go to the back right side of the bed after it laid the first line on the left side of the bed. I don't understand the codes at all. I figured the printer.cfg file was telling the extruder that it need to go there. I looked into the file and finally noticed the measurements were 235, 235, and 280. I fixed it to 225, 225, and 280, which seemed to work. I updated the Sonic pad; this could have been the cause, but I think it was happening before. I can not seem to get the camera to capture video/time lapses. The camera seems to work fine to monitor the printer but I an hoping to figure this out too. Again thanks for the help.
Nice, looks like a slightly more polished anycubic vyper, but essentially the same without any bed leveling nobs, a dual gear exruder, same 2 peice assembly. Wouldnt be surprised if they sourced parts from the same manufacturer, the PEI sheet looks the same too. Whats wierd is i get the same layer line artifcats under the hull near the back like the benchy shown here doing 120m/s... thats so weird. I also saw a guy reviewing an anycubic kobra ax with with the same artifacts but thought i was imagining it until i seen it agiain here. Is this a gcode thing? could be a certain set of moves producdes this? Strange, they actually seem to disappear in the higher speeds like 150 mm/s and 200 shown here... hmm or that could be the lighting hiding it. Wonder if theres a common underlying issue spaning 3 different printers maybe? would be cool if someone could crack that case. Anyway it was easy to assemble like this one here athough i sort of wish it came more disassmebled (my vyper) because when i went to take apart my hot end to fix a jam i decided to rotatemy rods for fun but didnt really know how to put them back correctly. After watching some videos on similar style printers i figured it out ant it prints even better then factory, so it would be nice if they gave instructions how to tune everything properly, correct order of assembly, really let the printer print as best as it can because as good as it can come out of the factory, it will need a tighten eventually, my bed took like a week before it stopped having play after tightening, i had to keep doing it for a while as it settled in. Things like that wiill prevent it from ever being perfect from factory so some tuning advice/instruction would be nice.
I am wondering too. I'll be building a farm soon with printers big and small. Same price = anycbc kobra or vyper or elegoo np3 pro Smae pirce anycbc max and np3 max I have a kobra and ı love it. I can use standrt machine and 80 -100 mm/s Np3 whats the speed and whats your favorite for the farm
Ok ,please review the privacy policies that go along with these 3d printers, especially the ip, and browser information the companies share with third parties and governments(apon request). Connection to your cell phone also means that you are being tracked. Your reviews are wonderfully thorough, a criticle review of the "fine print" should also be done on these printers. Tks.
I own a Creality S1 Plus with SonicPad and a Elegoo 3 Plus (no SonicPad linked). Elegoo it's by far a better machine, by far! Absolutely love this machine and how good, fast and reliable has been from day 1. Can't tell same from the S1 Plus, although it's a great machine too, really capable as well.
Hello. I have an Ender 3S1 and I'm thinking of buying another printer, I'm thinking of something equal or better than my Ender on a tight budget, would you recommend an Ender pro or Elegoo 3 pro? I'm also thinking about the Sovol SV06 Plus.
I really like your reviews. It's to the point with no fluff. Just a quick one on this, as I'm looking to get my first printer, am I right to say that klipper can be installed directly without the need of a Pi like some of the older printers? Thanks
Hello. Please tell me, at 13:00 you insert a flash drive with firmware into the printer. The message "Update Firmware " appears on the screen. Tell me, should the loading bar reach the end? This process takes me a very long time. Is it possible then, in the clipper’s web interface, to understand that the firmware for the printer has been successfully installed? P.S. Sorry for my English )
Great review. I've been looking at the Neptune 3 Plus & Max as I need a larger print size than my Ender 3 S1 Pro. You have sold me on the Neptune 3 Plus. I have also been thinking about using the Sonic Pad with my printers, I'll give that a try too. Thanks for the review. I was wondering, did you try the Plus at 250mm/s? If so, how did it perform? Also, do these faster speeds work well with PET-G using the Sonic Pad. Anyways, great review. You've given me lots to think about. Thanks

Thanks for the wonderful tutorial video. My question: Is there anything piece of code/configuration I need to remove from the printer.cfg file if I am not using Sonic Pad?
Hello, Your presentation skills are top notch. Will the Neptune 4 (comes with Klipper) achive the same results presented in your review? Don't know if the Creality screen was adding to the results or just allowed Klipper to be installed. Thanks.

@Aurora Tech without klipper only using the stock firmware can this achieve the 120 mm/s speeds and quality as in your video? (i understand input shaping calibration is not possible with the stock firmware)
Hello! I have Klipper running on a Neptune 3 Pro, and I just bought a Neptune 3 Max. Can I use the same firmware on it? For the Robin Nano? I already have the printer.cfg file, and my only doubt is to know if the firmware is the same! Thank you very much in advance!
Regarding all the praise for this range of Elegoo Neptune 3 printers, I still find the Sovol SV06 and SV06 plus a slightly better deal, as they provide printing at higher temperatures (300 degr. C instead of 260 degr. C). These printers haven't got a full metal hotend
I was a big fan of Elegoo until I purchased the Neptune 3 and they discontinued the range while it was still on back order in favour of the Neptune 3 Pro. And considering the new Pro and Plus are very different machines from the Neptune 3, I have my doubts as to how well Elegoo will support the OG Neptune 3 moving forward. Just really disappointing to see them do that. This said, the Neptune 3 has been a great printer and I have no real complaints but I do think Elegoo need to review their discontinued policy.

Just regular MK8 nozzles that you can get a box of 24 for less than $10 on amazon:

I wish i could buy a Neptune 3 plus but they are still out of stock. Great video as when i eventually get one i want to use the sonic pad with it too.
Elegoo killing it lately!
Same price = anycbc kobra or vyper or elegoo np3 pro
Smae pirce anycbc max and np3 max
I have a kobra and ı love it. I can use standrt machine and 80 -100 mm/s
Np3 whats the speed and whats your favorite for the farm
Ok ,please review the privacy policies that go along with these 3d printers, especially the ip, and browser information the companies share with third parties and governments(apon request). Connection to your cell phone also means that you are being tracked.
Your reviews are wonderfully thorough, a criticle review of the "fine print" should also be done on these printers.
Tks.
Great in-depth review! Would you recommend the Neptune 3 pro or the Sovol Sv06?
You guys always do a Great job !!!
@@camiloandresgarciacastrill304 Elegoo 3 (any) with blind eyes
wow, this is awesome. I jsut got my elegoo pro and it prints awesome but it's SLOW. if I can up the speed and keep the quality sign me up!
Aurora, maybe you could give your recommendation for a printer in each price class? Like $200-$300, $300-$500, $500-$800, etc?
Onde posso obter o stl para suporte ao ventilador adicional?
Where can I get the stl for the support for the additional fan?
I really like your reviews. It's to the point with no fluff.
Just a quick one on this, as I'm looking to get my first printer, am I right to say that klipper can be installed directly without the need of a Pi like some of the older printers? Thanks
I was told you had a video for a profile of the Neptune 4 but cannot seem to find it.
Thanks
Can you do a review for neptune 4 pro when you get the chance? Your reviews are the best
Hello, great video. I've had the Neptune 3 Max for a week and I can't find the settings for TPU. Could you share yours with me? And if you could give me some advice on TPU, I would be immensely grateful
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial video. My question: Is there anything piece of code/configuration I need to remove from the printer.cfg file if I am not using Sonic Pad?
Hello,
Your presentation skills are top notch. Will the Neptune 4 (comes with Klipper) achive the same results presented in your review? Don't know if the Creality screen was adding to the results or just allowed Klipper to be installed. Thanks.
Hi, would you by any chance have a printer cfg file for the max? or would i just need to change the size in the file? Thanks
I need it too! did you find it?
Hi Aurora, great video, do you have any Cura or Prusa Slicer profiles for the Neptune 3 pro and Sonic Pad?
I love when she says....."Theeen...." ☺
Fantastic review! I enjoyed how thorough your testing was. Do you have a link to the stl file for the auxiliary fan mounting bracket you used?
Hello, I have a Neptune 3 Max and I just purchased the Creality Sonic Pad. Could you share the cura maker profiles so I can have that speed base and test them?
What a great deep review!!! Than you very much. But i want to test ASA filament, so i must to canghe hotend? Any help please...
Well done I must say. Can you use the PrusaSlice with these units?
Hi i recently tried to install and use the sonic pad with my elegoo N3P however when I tried to run measuring resonances it comes up with an error saying the following
!! {"code": "key298", "msg": "Can not update MCU mcu config as it is shutdown", "values":["mcu"]}
I followed your install guide and can print with the printer, is there anything I can try?
How does the Plus compare to the Sovol Sv06 Plus and Sv06 Plus?
Will you test the Sovol SV06 Plus? It's just a tad bit smaller than the Neptune Plus but similar price range.
Amazing source of info thanks a lot :)
do you have a prusa profile for this printer like you do for the EN4M?
I was wondering if one could use the USB port to attach a multi-reader which would accept a USB thumb drive. That way no micro SD card required.
As always - how long extruder ribbon cable will survive? In Kobra Max very quickly you will get NTC abnormal.
@Aurora Tech without klipper only using the stock firmware can this achieve the 120 mm/s speeds and quality as in your video? (i understand input shaping calibration is not possible with the stock firmware)
Hello can you upload the cura profile for the neptune 3 pro klipper sonicpad somewhere??
Much better review great value for the money
Hello! I have Klipper running on a Neptune 3 Pro, and I just bought a Neptune 3 Max. Can I use the same firmware on it? For the Robin Nano? I already have the printer.cfg file, and my only doubt is to know if the firmware is the same! Thank you very much in advance!
Merci pour cette vidéo je viens de commander la max je la reçois en Avril

I got an N3P this year and love it. How did you go about printing with ABS? I'm worried about melting a few things if I try.
Regarding all the praise for this range of Elegoo Neptune 3 printers, I still find the Sovol SV06 and SV06 plus a slightly better deal, as they provide printing at higher temperatures (300 degr. C instead of 260 degr. C). These printers haven't got a full metal hotend
love your informative reviews.
Is it even worth waiting for the Neptune 4 Plus model if one ever comes ?
I was a big fan of Elegoo until I purchased the Neptune 3 and they discontinued the range while it was still on back order in favour of the Neptune 3 Pro. And considering the new Pro and Plus are very different machines from the Neptune 3, I have my doubts as to how well Elegoo will support the OG Neptune 3 moving forward. Just really disappointing to see them do that.
This said, the Neptune 3 has been a great printer and I have no real complaints but I do think Elegoo need to review their discontinued policy.
Yeah but that's why you've got me around 😂😂🐱🐱
Have you done some on mimaki or hp full color 3d printer review..that will be cool
