Merrily SHOULD win roty. The war and clutch should do it on it’s own, but he also has great defense and speed as well. He has also played a full season, and even though Jackson Chourio is great, he didn’t start the season well. Paul Skenes is also a incredible player, but he is mostly popular because of his hype coming in.
I’d say it’s definitely one of the best rookie of the year races in recent memory, if not ever (not trying to open up baseball reference and deep dive to disprove), but I don’t think you can call anything the best class ever until at least 6 to 7 years down the line when they get their first contract.
This is an amazing time to be a baseball fan. Top tier talent at such a young age!
