How about Muscle wagons? I know there aren't many but I love them. I have a 2005 Magnum RT. which yes is basically a Charger with a huge butt. However I love them. Price wise they are going for about the same as a Charger RT unless you get into the SRT Magnum. Then the price doubles and nearly triples.

I've said for several years now the C5 Vette is the best performance bang for the buck around right now. Plenty of sub 50k mile examples for around $20k. If you're okay with some higher mileage examples, you can get in to a C5 for sub-$15k, and every now and then you can find a C5 Z06 for between $15-$20k if you're okay with some miles. The beauty of buying a Vette in general is that a lot of them were bought as weekend toys that spent their lives in garages and were serviced religiously. So you're much more likely to get a sorted out Vette in great condition (even with higher miles) than you are to find an great condition example of most of these other cars that were listed.
I've seen some C5s with like 70k miles recently (idk what you view as 'higher miles') for $13.5k and I've been so tempted!😂 They looked like they were in incredible shape
My wife and I have 2005 Mustang GT with the 5 speed manual transmission. We’ve had it since 2009 and it has 139,000 miles on it now. It’s been a great car and for us, it feels like it has the perfect amount of power.
You can pickup a coyote out of a f150 or mustang for somewhere between 2,500 and 4,500 (mustang is more) and then drop it in a 05 to 09 mustang. They have the exact same motor mounts, so it’s not the hardest swap out there.
One car I would really go for is the 95 Pontiac Firebird, it comes with either a V8 or V6 with some decently fast 0-60 times. And because of it being so light, don't let it's lower horsepower fool you, these can go to at least 130mph and 150mph with the V8 option And you can find these for about $7,000 to $20,000

I just find it funny that my 2008 Rav4 V6 only has just over half second slower 0-60 than some of the first entries on the list. 😂 With some parts upgrades and tuning, it would make a hella funny sleeper.
I also kinda like the Avengers. My brother-in-laws made fun of it one time sayin it was terrible and I had to be the only one like "... I don't think it's that bad"😂

If were talking 0-60 you forgot one car that can be had cheap. Ford Taurus SHO. A stock SHO with a $500 tune can reach 0-60 in 3.9. Lincoln MKS 2010 up same car. Ecoboost twin turbo, all wheel drive.

I look around within like 150 miles of where I live on websites like CarGurus, AutoTrader, Cars.com and other places and just try to estimate the averages with okay miles, not just the cheapest listings I can find or anything, I'll look at all of em
The Fbodies aren't too quick but they're in the price range. (I actually just looked again and I've found times reported as low as a 5.4 but as high as a 6.5 so I'm not quite sure what the numbers are. It mostly seems to be just under 6 seconds). The 5th gens are fast but I thought a little to hard to find in this price range
@@noah-respect2860 stock between 3,9 and 4,1 seconds depends on the conditions. But you can easily get those puppy’s to low 3 seconds with a simple chip tune for the turbo

Bought a C5 just over 2 years ago. 15.5k for a convertible manual with 117k. Has some issues but it hasn't cost me a lot to keep on the road.
