While I liked Zack Snyder style in some aspects, I think it was a little TOO dark and that goes against what Superman is all about. Christopher Reeve was the living embodiment of what Superman stood for. I truly believe God created him specifically to be Superman. It was just too perfect. However, even though I didn't care for Cavill as Superman at first, I think he does fit the role well. You can tell that he does respect the character. The world needs a TRUE Superman movie right now. I think if Cavill is allowed to have input, Superman will have a bright future and maybe he can save the DCEU.

Supposedly Henry nearly has done this. He has the books on set and has pulled them out multiple times, which is why certain production types desperate to save face and popularity of the show have tried to call him difficult to work with. For sure there were same actors in both, I think they even re-used many scenes (it is long time I saw it). In all cases none of those was really great success, anyway I quite liked Michał Żebrowski as Geralt.
