For real. You could've made a cartoon about Jar-Jar doing random crap like Teen Titans Go, and it still woulda been better than this crap they keep making.
I disagree, that's what Disney thought, that Star Wars was nothing more than special effects, spaceships, droids and pewpew laser bolts. They missed that George Lucas is also a great story-teller and Star Wars had a good plot and characters.
Not "trying to fail" maybe, but certainly "trying to do something other than entertain audiences" GOAL1: ret-con, emasculate and diminish every male "hero" and their accomplishments in the canon. GOAL2: replace them with females, especially KK's fanfic self-insert "brunette w/British accent". GOAL3: make damn sure everyone knew the success of Star Wars was due entirely to her.
@@fundhund62 what did George think would happen? Overtly marketing to children despite it being inclusive to all ages, disturbing the balance of the audience appeal.
They literally went online to post insults to the oldschool fans, they lied about us (re. Kelly Marie Tran), and said that they didn't even want us as customers anymore, they wanted a "new" audience; an audience which barely even exists, made up of those who can't hold down a job, and has no disposable income. As for ANDOR, no one's watching because it takes place in the same continuity where Luke becomes a coward, Han reverts to being a bum, and Leia is an abject failure. The genuine, oldschool audience wants nothing to do with it.
And neitger does the new generation, as not even them are showing up. The only thing keeping Star Wars alive is the baby Yoda merch, and thats because people thibk is cute and not because they watch the Mandalorian.
@qtsssim han abadoned his family and became a smuggler again in force awakens and leia gets literally the entire resitaince killed except the Ray squad before dying in the last jedi.
ANDOR is good but I simply can't be bothered to watch. It took two episodes to show us that a) Cassian comes from space Neverland and lives as a con artist in space Sheffield and b) he's in real trouble now. It also doesn't feel like Star Wars. It feels like a modern spinoff of Blake's Seven or some other 70s sci-fi series.
@@TroySpace "space Sheffield" 😆😂🤣 Love it! We should probably all keep quiet about B7 though, otherwise they might turn their eye towards rebooting / ruining that too! 😁

There's a theory put out by people like Kevin Smith that fans are impossible to please, so it's a fools errand. Ironically, Kevin Smith used to be popular for mocking John Peters and Tim Burton for not knowing anything about the lore of Superman. Trying to make him into a brooding angsty Sociopath. Now Kevin Smith sort of became one of those people. (But at least Tim Burton has some residual charm.)
So Leslie Headland was a literal PROCURER acting for HARVEY WEINSTEIN. Her job was to locate and contact future victims for exploitation by her serial abuser boss and then fit them into his busy schedule of abuse. (Her role sounds analogous to Ghislaine Maxwell, who got a very long prison sentence for doing the same thing for that guy who ... uh .. totally killed himself. (wink wink) ) _Yet weirdly, not only does Headland escape all punishment for her involvement, _*_she's actually rewarded with a cushy job at Disney ?_* _Does no-one else find this a bit weird ?_
Why is it weird? Disney is all for abusing people and hiring absolute creeps. They rehired James Gunn despite his constant tweets and photos of himself dressed as a Priest at a certain themed party.
Yep and we remember that she "didn't know anything" that was going on with Harvey in those hotel rooms. PURE BULLSHIT!!!!!! She knew and she escaped justice and now she is going to be remembered as the procurer of starlets/victims at the hands of Harvey.
I'm not burned out on StarWars. I'm burned out on Disney StarWars, Jake Skywalker, Rey Palpatine, etc. To the point where if they were to reverse course I don't care anymore. Even if they make good StarWars content I can't support them because they'll turn around an undo it all. Obi Wan was their last chance with me and they blew it. Supposedly Andor is "good" but I don't care. Disney is not getting another cent.
If Andor is good like people say then there still is a chance Disney Star wars can become good again if you're done with it more power to you but some of us aren't
@@animezilla4486 Mandalorian was good, but Boba Fet and Obi Wan was bad. With Dave Filoni supposedly in charge those shows should have been good. Clone Wars was good. Rebels was good. Dave knows StarWars. Mandalorian was good and KK took credit, then messed with Boba and Obi. Until there is a restructuring of management at Disney nothing will change. Only way for that to happen is if everything fails. They get a boost on Andor and it gives them an excuse to deliver bait and switch garbage.
@@Luke42652 I'd argue, Rebels was ok... and as good as Mandalorian season 1 and 2 is. The soft pilot for season 3, inside Book of Boba Fett, literally undid the entire storyline of the first 2 seasons and ruined Luke again.
Yarp. As long as Star Wars is in the clutches of Disney and KK it doesn't exist in MY extended universe. I don't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut who the director is.
I didn't forget about "Andor". I consciously decided NOT to watch it. I've had it with Disney serving me garbage and then insulting me when I say it's garbage. Obi-Wan was the last straw.
That's the same for me and not just Star Wars, but, Marvel also. Captain Marvel sucked, Eternals was boring and they race-swapped and gender-swapped everyone, I didn't care about the Hawkeye show, She-Hulk was absolutely atrocious, etc. For the most part, I'm completely apathetic to any new Marvel and Star Wars project Disney comes out with. If I know it'll be trash, it'll most likely be trash
Color me shocked. It's as if completely ruining en entire franchise, spitting in the legacy of the past and even giving into stupid modern 'trends' just to stay relevant was a bad idea. I'm with you Kneon, Last Jedi was it for me on the movies. Mando was cool but other than that my stomach churns when I hear Disney announce another Star Wars anything knowing it'll be hot garbage.
Sadly it's akin to what the BBC has done to Doctor Who, Chibs/Jodi absolutely killed the interest for me, even having Tennant back doesn't really interest me knowing next will be a gay black Doctor with a trans companion... No thanks. Maybe if it goes on hiatus for a decade+ and gets rebooted again they'll produce something good again by the time I'm 70.
It was irreparably broken as soon as JJ released TFA and Wendig his first Aftermath book. Those two products did massive damage to the post ROTJ era setting and everything released after is built on a faulty foundation. While TFA was a massive success it reset the state of the galaxy back to pre ANH and Aftermath that made the New Republic incredibly incompetent. They keep releasing books and comics to try and fix the ST era but they are like one step forward two steps backwards. Nothing apart from a complete reboot of the Disney era is going to solve the massive problems and damage done.
100% correct. TFA was a lazy reboot that didn't make any sense at all for a Star Wars movie, that was supposed to be episode 7, got a free pass because it was an entertaining-ish popcorn flick for normie, non fans. But that movie set everything up going forward and damaged what came before it massively.
Dude, George Lucas himself decanonized the EU as soon as the Prequel trilogy came out. The Clone Wars in the Thrawn Trilogy is detailed very differently from what actually happened in the Prequels.
@@KetsubanSolo Except no it isn't Thrawn only made a passing that Captain Palleon once fought clones which he did he fought them on Saleucami they were Separatist Morgukai clones.
@Ember Fist it was stated that they fought clones of Jedi (ie: Joruus C'baoth, with the two "U's" designating he's a clone), and that Thrawn went back to using clones to pilot the fleet of ships he commandeered (the method of which the cloning worked is highly suspect since it still takes a substantial amount of time in Episode II to bring clones to maturity, and based on the cloning pods that were found on the ship, Thrawn got them ready... much faster). Heck, they had a fully grown Luke clone in the third book (named Luuke Skywalker) and that is inconsistent with how we've seen clones up to that point. Oh yeah I forgot to talk about "clone madness" but I'm too lazy
@@KetsubanSolo Except none of that is the case. And it sounds like you never read those books. Palleon only mentioned he fought clones during the Clone Wars never that they were fighting clones of Jedi. Also the method of cloning being much faster than it is in the Prequels is due to the vastly different methods used (Spraati Clones explicitly have the memories of their templates the Kaminoans clone don't) and is an actually plot point in the story as Thrawn is growing clones at a much faster rate than even for the Spraati which is already faster than the Kaminoan clones but with its own drawbacks. How Thrawn managed to pump clones out in weeks a driving force the third book. Also the Clone Madness is a non-issue for the Kaminoan clones due to both the fact they weren't cloning force users and the method they used put the priority of quality over quanity sso they worked to make their clones were mentally stable.
I was working at a store that sold Disney Star Wars merch when the Last Jedi came out, and believe you me, the merch sales went waaaay down after that. Even on original series stuff.
Same thing at my local Wal-Mart. Before The Last Jedi came out there was a banner hanging above a toy isle completely dedicated to Star Wars that said "Welcome to a Galaxy Far, Far Away...." Sometime after TLJ released, the banner was taken down, and a few small racks share the isle with Marvel, WWE and Hot Wheels toys. Star Wars is defenately on the endangered species list when it comes to demand for it.
It is just sad how Hollywood keeps destroying franchises. Just make good stories with well written characters; and money will come naturally. OG Star Wars was trail blazing and inspiring.
@@chrisbaker8533 The thing is that in Hollywood, loyalty to "the message" is more important than talent. So the writers who actually could make a good story with well written characters have been pushed out and replaced by buffoons who's entire portfolio is a half-finished Twilight fanfic on Deviant Art but who is loyal to "the message". And if you don't have competent writers, you can't make competent stories.
I think Nostalgia Critic describes this situation the best "This is mot jumping the shark...No no no. This is jumping the shark, coming back, shooting him.the balls. Raping it. Eating it flesh, consuming its sould, mount it hesd on the wall. AND THEN TO THE SAME TO 7 MORE SHARKS JUST TO BE SURE!" The opposite of love is hate. They already saw love turn to hate and ignored it. Apathy is the opposite of emotion. It's what happens when the hate burns away and nothing replaces it. It's a very big difference that the saying has never been able to grasp despite its rising popularity. The force is an excellent analogy for what I'm saying as well. The jedi are supposed to be apathetic and detached. The Sith are driven and empowered by emotion, even love.
@@Quandry1 if you hate someone, you are still giving emotional energy that they can feed off of that, Disney has been feeding off of that. But to not care to the point where you give them nothing? As if they don't exist? Now they have to do something to get a reaction of any sort to feed off of. The opposite of love is not hate, it is not caring to the point where nothing that is done can provoke any reaction whatsoever.
@@Kooster69 I think Andor has been an eye opener for them, because it is probably some of the best written Starwars Disney has produced, but nobody cares to watch because of how much they have been traumatized by the awful Starwars Disney has put out.
So just like the Rings of Power, these writers decided that they would completely disregard the lore that was already written because they thought they could do a better job. I feel no pity for these narcissists.
When Disney admits it's broken they can throw it out and start it over.(The Disney part that is.) Not holding my breath while KK is still has her clutches dug in.
Absolutely obliterated starwars. It's so broken now that they can't move forward they can only make more prequel stories. Even then, they destroy all the characters involved. It's a dam Shame.
As long as everything before Disney continues to be produced, nothing of value will be lost if SW fails. It was the wrong franchise, controlled by the wrong woman, bought by the wrong company and kicked started by the wrong director. I hate to say it, but I’m actually impressed how badly they messed up SW.
The Sequels killed my love and passion for this series. All the characters and all the things they accomplished in George's original films completely undermined and destroyed just to make Mary Rey Sue Palpatine the Saga's true saviour. I can't even invest in anything else with the Disney "canon" version of Star Wars cause I'm reminded of the fact that all roads are leading towards those pieces of shit.
Yup. I was sad when they killed off Han, but, Luke was the last straw. I tried giving shows like Kenobi a chance. That sucked. Mando was good, but, that's about it. My Dad is a huge Star Wars fan. Solo was the only Star Wars movie he fell asleep at. It was apparently so boring, that my dad actually fell asleep at a Star Wars movie.
Yep. Knew they didn't know what they were doing when they didn't immediately sign Katee Sackhoff to a live action Night Owls movie and then confirmed their incompetence by giving the game rights to EA... a company openly hostile to story and character.
I mean Kathleen Kennedy went on air saying that "Handling Marvel is way easier than Star Wars, because Marvel has decades worth of stories from books and comics and games and novels, and Star Wars doesn't have any of that". What do you expect? No wonder she doesn't know that Star Wars has had tons of great female characters before she took over.
@@deanfirnatine7814 Yeah. Most people like Mara Jade. And the in my opinion best written character in all of Star Wars is female too, Kreia from Kotor 2 is a masterpiece in writing, just look at the "The philosophy of Kreia" video on youtube. So imagine how pissed I was when Kathleen Kennedy told us that Star Wars is sexist because there's no good female characters in it so luckily she's here to save us now.
A. The director's "walking away" from Star wars is interesting. Especially in light of Tim Burton's recent comments about working with Disney, which was a damn shame. But it makes me wonder if it isn't a star wars problem, it's just where it shows the most. B. I don't mind the shows, I'm all for it. But I LIKE that George took the time. To this day, I think the rushed schedule with the sequel movies is what killed Carrie Fisher. Not directly, but I think it was harder to monitor her mental health.... I don't need this much Star Wars content this fast! What made it good was the damn slow burn!
They "killed the past". I've mourned the loss and moved on. I'm not going to be some weepy little whiner that can't move on. Coming back every year to cry at the grave of Star Wars. Star Wars is dead. Yes, it's a sad thing. But it's done. As with most thing, I'm not going to stay sad. Star Wars is Sad and Done and all this whining and moaning won't bring it (the movies), me, my money or my niece and nephew, back to have my nostalgia abused again.
I found a physical copy of ESB while thrifting today. I just need RotJ, and I'll have all SIX SW movies. I also refuse to acknowledge the existence of anything Disney SW.
Disney broke Star Wars the moment that Bob Iger decided to buy Lucasfilm. And then, Bob Iger put two folks in charge of Star Wars who didn't care about the franchise: 1) J.J. Abrams wrote The Force Awakens, but forgot to put in the most important scene of reuniting Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford. And then, J.J. Abrams publicly admitted that he did NOT know how the sequel movies would end. 2) Kathleen Kennedy has shown that she has no love for Star Wars, and no in-depth knowledge of Star Wars. Kathleen Kennedy is using Star Wars to gain the knowledge and experience of how to run a production studio, so that she can launch her own production studio. Kathleen Kennedy hates George Lucas. Kathleen Kennedy has no respect for what George Lucas did. Kathleen Kennedy has tried to sabotage all of George Lucas' new involvement with Star Wars. Star Wars is so broken, where the chats for Hasbro's Star Wars Fan First live streams are incredibly toxic. Hasbro's Star Wars sales are flat. The HasLab Rancor failed. Star Wars fans hate all of the horribly conceived new characters for the Disney+ Obi-Wan. Disney ruined Boba Fett.
Disney Star Wars is basically if I can summarize it:The Bad Timeline Episode of Community where everything is on fire and Troy with Pizza is us as Star Wars Fans. The Fire represents how Disney destroyed what made Star Wars so great!
If you were to open someone's abdomen, disembowel them, then stuff a claymore mine in the cavity, and detonate it...could you mop up the bits and put the poor person back together again and resuscitate them?... Neither can you resuscitate Star Wars. They killed it dead.
The first thing to do, if they ever want to rebuild Star Wars: 1) Decannonize or completely ignore the Sequel Trilogy era 2) clean house, and I mean a complete house cleaning. Everyone is out (and make sure that everyone under Kennedy’s direction/side gets blacklisted) 3) Take the franchise on a hiatus, and sit down with George Lucas, Dave Feloni and John Favreu and discuss with them the plan. No buts, no backstabbing, and no taking creative derailing. What this 3 say is law. 4) Slowly start by promoting good series, or adapting the Expanded Universe, while they finish doing a proper trilogy. Of course none of this will NEVER happen, because if Disney had proven consistent with is, that they double down on terrible decision and charge you extra for their mistakes.
If they want to fix this - erase the last three movies. Erase the high republic. Basically undo everything Kennedy did and fire her very publicly for her abject failure - let her go work on a romcom or something that this modern audience they're always harping about might actually show up for. The love is not dead. But the trust is gone.
When they ruined the original characters and changed them and gave them bad endings after everything they done in the original movies they destroyed the heart of star wars and no other shows related to it will matter. When the heart dies the body follows
@qtsssim luke dies after using force hologram once while rey easily lifts a entire mountain behind him and leia literally gets suked into space then mary poppins style flies her way back in with the force then dies of screen.
Disney certainly broke this lifetime star wars fans interest in Star Wars. I haven't bought anything star wars since the last Jedi. The only things I would remotely consider is OT stuff and I'm not enthusiastic like I once was on even that.
It's just crazy to think about. How do they mess up this badly? They had the Thrawn novels from the EU. They could have adapted those, whether in live-action or full CGI like the Clone Wars cgi movie, and the fans would have eaten that up with a knife and fork.
I think Disney is afraid to promote novels because instances of Harry Potter or hunger games and less successful serries can be accomplished by anyone unlike films so they wouldn't release anything cool in the book department just to keep the market down.
Did you actually read the Thrawn novels, cuz I can think of multiple reasons those books wouldn't work as movies, the most obvious being the Ysalamir. Good luck convincing an audience that Luke's force powers shut down when he's close to a lizard that the remnants of the Empire have now decided to strap to every Stormtrooper (complete with feeding aparatus).
@@KetsubanSolo That worked in the books because Zhan explained it quite intelligently. The Ysalamiri were explictly shown to have evolved to do that because they are hunted by a species of hounds that use the force to hunt. Plus the books use them only to show Luke Skywalker can still be awesome without relying on the force.
@@KetsubanSolo except its explained as it being a naturall evolved response to force using animals because yes ANYTHING living can use the force if they are force sensitive enough sapience isnt nessarily required from trees to a entire living mountain yoda found once.
That's actually kind of a bummer because that's actually the most competent thing Disney put out with the Star Wars name, and thanks to a joke character who has as much presence as the Gonkbot in Episode IV, nobody likes it.
No, Ditz-ney's "Star Wars", if it can be called that, is DEAD, and rotting in hell. Damn! I knew Ditz-ney's trash fire they call Star Wars was NOT Star Wars from the beginning, starting with "The Force Awakens".
I'll be honest I don't think it's JUST Star Wars; I think a lot of directors; writers, etc are getting tired of dealing with the Disney corporate politics. I don't mean left vs right US politics; I mean the type of politics of everyone's hands in the cookie jar and run everything past a dozen different executive producers who don't know what they're talking about.
I can't think of a single reason to get Disney Plus that wouldn't end up saving me money to buy it on Physical media or I'm just board with it now. Same goes for Paramount Plus as well!
I was four years old when New Hope premiered and have been a lover of Star Wars ever since. That said, I have lost all hope for a legitimate addition to Star Wars canon. As it stands, there has been ZERO valid artistic contribution to the building of a universe that has shaped the imaginations of so many for as many decades. I find myself content with the the back catalogue until someone at Disney decides to regain sanity.
Don't forget the Game of Thrones show runners were announced to have a Star Wars movie..........until that interview came out where they admitted to being under qualified to run GoT and had no idea what to do after they ran out of source material. Then suddenly they no longer have a star wars movie due to "creative differences"
And KK was so petty about Jon Favreau and the Mandolorian, that there wasn't even any Baby Yoda merch until after people started making their own stuff. I've never seen someone cut their nose to spite their face as hard as Kathleen Kennedy does.
I think Mrs.Kathy is going to 'retire' soon, now that Indy 5 seems to be DOA. Disney finally can't defend her anymore and Indy 5 broke their back. They will wait a year till she's safley out the door, fire anyone loyal to her, and THEN start getting together a non-activist marvel like team that can full reboot the ST. it's the only way forward, IMHO.
Disney told me that they hated us with The Last Jedi, and that they wanted us to go away. Well Disney, congratulations, wish f**king granted, I ain't watching anymore, and you ain't getting anymore of my money either
I am glad i didn't get attached. When the first Rey film was released I was fairly excited because starwars was a franchise i was curious about and whose universe I want to get to know more but my interest got snuffed out really quick.
Of course they have to keep hiring directors. When you have all these "creative differences" and "schedule conflicts" *cough* FIRED/Quit *cough cough* they have to fill in those spots.
With pride I say that the Last Jedi was the Last time I gave disney my money . the only good recent moment that was the Luke scene on the mandalorian , I watched on the review videos here. As you said Star Wars was an easy thing to do right and make billions , but they gave it to the coffee girl ...
Yeah, Its been how many years since Rise of Skywalker and I still haven't seen it out of principle. Legends didn't always have the best stories, but I am still much more invested in those then the Disney Trilogy. When news first broke that Disney bought Lucasfilms I was excited for more Star Wars, but now all I can do is look back and just be disappointed. Unfortunately, Andor isn't really my cup of tea either. But, I will still watch it over the Disney Trilogy.
Disney star wars is everything wrong with modern writing. You don't think your world through. And if the rules of your world aren't consistent, then neither will the rest of your writing.
While watching the New Hope remake in 2015 I realised Disney had no idea what to actually do with the franchise and had no new ideas. I haven't paid to watch any Disney Star Wars since
Star Wars died the moment the ink was put on paper for the signatures of sale. Called it then everyone said I was stupid that asked me. Look now no toy isles just deadicated to Star Wars. Hell the movies are in the bargain bins at some of the local stores for me. Can not wait for the auction of Disney assets after all the polish is worn off.
Another problem with Star Wars is that all their shows have been pre-OT or pre-ST. None have moved the franchise forward probably because they know the Sequel Trilogy is a Creative and Financial No Man's Land.
I have those thoughts about Victoria Alonzo a while back she's in charge, it is so obvious it went for having male leads to all female leads and cast the men were secondary🙄
and she literally pushed her self insert with mr fantastic powers that no body liked or wanted down the comicworlds throats rebooting her nearly as many times as captain manvill.
I am in NO WAY burnt out on Star Wars or Marvel. What I'm burnt out on is badly done content for franchises I love. I'll take a new Star Wars series every 3 months as long as this shit slaps.
When the MBA's get full control of scripts, it is death. All the good stuff comes from creative non-MBA people. Once the MBA tribe buys the property, kiss it goodbye and treasure your memories.
I'm waiting for a web site to come out where you can upload your photo and have it put on a poster announcing that you will be directing a Star Wars film.

It's really sad. I mean, to fail with something like Star Wars you pretty much have to be TRYING to fail.
Well at least Tales of the Jedi was awesome especially episodes 2-5.
Not "trying to fail" maybe, but certainly "trying to do something other than entertain audiences"

GOAL2: replace them with females, especially KK's fanfic self-insert "brunette w/British accent".

@@captainz9 You've summed up my thoughts, and the thoughts of most fans, on 'Doctor Who' completely. 🙂
Disney itself has been broken for a while now. All by design keep in mind.
I can't imagine that Disney, in its infinite arrogance, would ever admit making a mistake.
It broke the second they decanonized the EU, it's just been downhill ever since
Dude, George Lucas himself decanonized the EU as soon as the Prequel trilogy came out. The Clone Wars in the Thrawn Trilogy is detailed very differently from what actually happened in the Prequels.
...the second the ink dried on the contract George signed is more like it.
So in other words you gave up on that idea knowing it would've gone over EXTREMELY poorly after toy sales took a complete nosedive?
Same thing at my local Wal-Mart. Before The Last Jedi came out there was a banner hanging above a toy isle completely dedicated to Star Wars that said "Welcome to a Galaxy Far, Far Away...." Sometime after TLJ released, the banner was taken down, and a few small racks share the isle with Marvel, WWE and Hot Wheels toys.
Star Wars is defenately on the endangered species list when it comes to demand for it.
The only way Star Wars can succeed is to utterly ignore the "Rey timeline".

Disney is learning that the opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy.
The opposite of love is hate.
Disney Star Wars is not Star Wars!
Apathy sets in and no one cares for Star Wars
Disney broke Star Wars the moment that Bob Iger decided to buy Lucasfilm. And then, Bob Iger put two folks in charge of Star Wars who didn't care about the franchise:

Turns out The Force Is Financial
The first thing to do, if they ever want to rebuild Star Wars:
1) Decannonize or completely ignore the Sequel Trilogy era
2) clean house, and I mean a complete house cleaning. Everyone is out (and make sure that everyone under Kennedy’s direction/side gets blacklisted)
3) Take the franchise on a hiatus, and sit down with George Lucas, Dave Feloni and John Favreu and discuss with them the plan.

I think Disney is afraid to promote novels because instances of Harry Potter or hunger games and less successful serries can be accomplished by anyone unlike films so they wouldn't release anything cool in the book department just to keep the market down.

With pride I say that the Last Jedi was the Last time I gave disney my money .
the only good recent moment that was the Luke scene on the mandalorian , I watched on the review videos here.
As you said Star Wars was an easy thing to do right and make billions , but they gave it to the coffee girl ...
Maybe we should send Disney a humpty dumpty popup book.
I heard that they're doubling down on the Acolyte. Info regarding actors casted for the show is out...
In some room, somewhere. This is the line..."Ok, they didn't like the rock! What if we make it a mushroom?"
I just don't even care anymore. Which is sad.
As my dad used to say, "if it's broken, you can fix it. This is busted!"
me thinks, Disney isn't allowing directors to actually direct. maybe a 'do it how we want, you're mostly just here for your name" kinda thing?
Disney star wars is everything wrong with modern writing. You don't think your world through. And if the rules of your world aren't consistent, then neither will the rest of your writing.
I’m the same as Kneon: I have complicate apathy. I just no longer care about Star Wars. I have Disney+ but just have no desire to watch Andor.
While watching the New Hope remake in 2015 I realised Disney had no idea what to actually do with the franchise and had no new ideas. I haven't paid to watch any Disney Star Wars since
Tell us something we don’t know.
"Let it die. Kill it if you have too."
(Monkey paw curles)
The conclusion of Critical Drinker's Part 2 video on "The Rise of Skywalker" says it all.
''Star Wars' sucks, and why that's a good thing.' -- new headlines about to make the rounds probably.
"If two wrongs don't make a right... Try three! More, even!"
