  • I live alone in a remote mountain village. In this episode, I'm restoring wood floors, sorting tools, and starting a vegetable garden. I bought an old, abandoned house and decided that it would be my new home.

Love how you've organized the workshop. It looks great. I appreciate learning how and why you did the floor in the house. What a beautiful floor. Thanks for showing where you keep the chickens, I was wondering. They look so healthy and happy.

Covering over those lovely old wide wood board floors. Got to wonder why, they are a gift to you from the old ways. Sand, cut in pieces to fill the gaps, clean, bit of wax and a polish, artisan rug to finish.

hello, even though I’m a woman, I adore trees, I once sat next to my father who was building the house himself and I remember the smell of the shavings! It’s a pity that you do everything yourself - a woman needs to plant and cook, so that she can help you - it’s more fun together! You are a good owner, I wish you health, fruitful gardens and peace! I’m watching you from Ukraine.

I love those original floor boards! why did you cover them up? they would've polished up beautifully
the new floor looks good also just a little too modern for the little cottage ....
loved the little fire stove you put in the work shed, though I think i would've put it up in the other corner, further inside
great vegetable garden you got started, am loving that you have beautiful flowering bulbs popping up on your embankment too
thanx so much for sharing your country life with us all

I love watching your videos every week, as you're always making/working on improving your tiny cabin and your land etc.
I just wanted to ask why you didn't put any insulation under the beautiful wooden floor your laying in the cabin?.
Also I love how your working on growing your own vegetables as they are so expensive, for extra room for veg etc have you extra room on your land to make some raised beds?, and I love how you are creating your Workshop out of recycled pallet wood as wood is extremely expensive as well.
Great progress and great achievements this week, can't wait to see what other projects you have for the foreseeable future, looking forward to next weeks video already 😃👌🌈

Yes, I have insulation under the floor. And I have a very large plot, but at the moment I don't have time for a bigger vegetable garden, in the future yes. Thank you 👍🙂

Great video! My, you have been busy this week, a new floor, racking for your tools in the tool shed. Made from pallets, very inventive. A whole new garden, fully planted. Hope the chickens don’t get too destructive! Plus a tutorial on how you fixed your floor boards and the inventive solution for running cables behind the skirting boards! They say necessity is the mother of invention and you certainly demonstrated that this week! Plus throughout the entire video you have a sense of calm. Nothing is rushed or hurried. ❤
