I can relate to being too available. Several years ago I killed the relationship of my longtime friend that became single when I was single. Our relationship started out phenomenal and I couldn’t separate myself from her. She ended up pushing me away because she needed space. Unfortunately, she wasn’t honest with me and told me to move on, which I eventually did. A few months later she came back asking why I didn’t wait for her. 🤦♂️ Relationships are inherently complex because people are complex. I have had many relationships over the years, including a 14 year marriage and have 4 children from two relationships. I was there at least a couple times! They and me got along so well we're almost finishing each other's sentence. I watched your video out of curiosity and agree with what you say. My Sicilian grandmother was a beautiful woman, but my grandfather was not attractive in looks. When asking her why she married my papa, when there were many men who looked better; her response was that he made her laugh. That is a truth bomb for sure. If a man can make a woman laugh, he has gotten her to the point that she can be comfortable and not fearful or anxious around him. If she is laughing she has adopted a certain degree of trust in the man.
I have dated and chatted up both online and face to face, every kind of woman. I'd say 75% have genuinely laughed and some to the point of (laughing out food, that kinda thing). I've been told I'm hilarious to at least very funny by the women. Unfortunately, a majority of them traded me in for a taller, a wealthier, a more muscular dude who wasn't naturally humourous.

One thing I remember that my gf said to me was that I always knew the right words to say. When we first met, I wasn't trying to impress her and I wasn't trying to make her laugh. I just said what was exactly on my mind and I wasn't intimidated by who she was, and it was infectious to hear her laughing at the little things I find humourous. What matters most to me is what I can see inside of you. When you've seen how cruel this world is, the things that some people would do to other people, you live with the consequences of those experiences and it changes you. For me, I'm absolutely emphathetic towards those who are struggling, and sometimes being able to lift someone's spirits with words is the most you can give to someone. I always knew the right words to say because I've been in those situations and I had wished someone could have been there for me to say those things. Needless to say, my lady is already wanting to get me involved in her business and she wants to get involved with mine, and she also wants kids so I'm looking forward to that too. 😆 I guess if what I said was too convoluted, I would agree that making a girl laugh works, as well as showing your wide range of emotions. To do so requires listening and willing to give to that other person your trust. I was so much on the verge of ending my life before I met her because of the demons I was struggling with, and it was to the point where I didn't trust anyone. If I was able to open up, you can too. Opening up saved my life, and so at the very least, finding the courage to take that chance could change yours too.

@@JonathanGillies Thank you brother. Writing a book wouldn't be a bad idea since so far what we've been going through together hasn't been anything less than a miracle through lots of struggle. We both are avid believers in Christ. It's an extraordinary feeling when you can share a spiritual relationship with another person. For example, one night I was alone on my knees praying to God begging him to allow this relationship to be the real thing because I was so worn from being used and torn. I had asked for specific things, and I remember my hands were aching as I was so distraught and was emotionally pounding the ground. What then later blew me away was the fact that about a week passed and she came to me and had decided to give me her vows in a prayer which happened to be the exact things I begged God in exactly the same order I had pleaded. There was no way she could have heard me, and it was right then I knew that I was never alone. My whole life, I never asked for a loving relationship; I only asked for someone who could understand me. She became my best friend even though we both live extremely busy lives- somehow we found a way to make time for each other. I love to sing to her, and I was amazed when she sang back to me, lol. Right now we're having to fight with the courts to get her Father's assets back, and it's been an uphill battle. Luckily I've been grossing unrealistic amounts and am able to put some of that money towards fighting the penalties that the courts put on those accounts. I have faith that we will come out successful, and with it, she would finally be able to get back what was left for her by her parents who died years ago. I told her from the start that I did not want anything of what was hers, and that I did not even want to know how much was left for her. Her lawyer shown me information about the accounts because they already see me as her husband, and there's a lot at stake here. Lol it's been a rollercoaster of events, but at the end of the day, I'm just so thankful we have each other.

Never really put too much thought in this, but I'm curious to learn more.

Not so easy to do in practice--everyone subconsciously wants to impress someone attractive, with the way they try to be witty, flirty, banter-y, etc. But I can feel that it's going to help to have this mindset, treating her as another person. I started working with a girl in September. After about a month we went out to a movie and had a good time. After that we continued to talk at work. I watched your video out of curiosity and agree with what you say. My Sicilian grandmother was a beautiful woman, but my grandfather was not attractive in looks. One thing I remember that my gf said to me was that I always knew the right words to say. When we first met, I wasn't trying to impress her and I wasn't trying to make her laugh. I just said what was exactly on my mind and I wasn't intimidated by who she was, and it was infectious to hear her laughing at the little things I find humourous. When I accentuated my personality and really opened up, it got to the point where she was laughing and always smiling, even at the little things I said. And I would throw in a monkey wrench into the conversations because I'll also get bored and try to catch her confused at what I just said.
Lol, but what gave me this courage to be able to do this was that I didn't see her as someone way out of my league. The woman is a professional model who's building her own clothing line. She could literally have anyone she wants, but she came to me because I wasn't there to judge her. She said I gave her that safe place in the world to be herself. I wasn't afraid of talking to her because I didn't care what she looked like, I just wanted to be a good friend and support her when she needed someone to lean to. What matters most to me is what I can see inside of you. When you've seen how cruel this world is, the things that some people would do to other people, you live with the consequences of those experiences and it changes you. For me, I'm absolutely emphathetic towards those who are struggling, and sometimes being able to lift someone's spirits with words is the most you can give to someone. I always knew the right words to say because I've been in those situations and I had wished someone could have been there for me to say those things. Needless to say, my lady is already wanting to get me involved in her business and she wants to get involved with mine, and she also wants kids so I'm looking forward to that too. 😆
I guess if what I said was too convoluted, I would agree that making a girl laugh works, as well as showing your wide range of emotions. To do so requires listening and willing to give to that other person your trust. I was so much on the verge of ending my life before I met her because of the demons I was struggling with, and it was to the point where I didn't trust anyone. If I was able to open up, you can too. Opening up saved my life, and so at the very least, finding the courage to take that chance could change yours too.

We both are avid believers in Christ. It's an extraordinary feeling when you can share a spiritual relationship with another person. For example, one night I was alone on my knees praying to God begging him to allow this relationship to be the real thing because I was so worn from being used and torn. I had asked for specific things, and I remember my hands were aching as I was so distraught and was emotionally pounding the ground.
What then later blew me away was the fact that about a week passed and she came to me and had decided to give me her vows in a prayer which happened to be the exact things I begged God in exactly the same order I had pleaded. There was no way she could have heard me, and it was right then I knew that I was never alone.
My whole life, I never asked for a loving relationship; I only asked for someone who could understand me. She became my best friend even though we both live extremely busy lives- somehow we found a way to make time for each other. I love to sing to her, and I was amazed when she sang back to me, lol.
Right now we're having to fight with the courts to get her Father's assets back, and it's been an uphill battle. Luckily I've been grossing unrealistic amounts and am able to put some of that money towards fighting the penalties that the courts put on those accounts. I have faith that we will come out successful, and with it, she would finally be able to get back what was left for her by her parents who died years ago. I told her from the start that I did not want anything of what was hers, and that I did not even want to know how much was left for her. Her lawyer shown me information about the accounts because they already see me as her husband, and
there's a lot at stake here.
Lol it's been a rollercoaster of events, but at the end of the day, I'm just so thankful we have each other.

But to be honest, I did lose faith for awhile after I joined the church's financial council and saw the ugly politics involved. Now, I'm part of a Baptist Church, but I don't know if I could really say what particular denomination I would classify under.

Not so easy to do in practice--everyone subconsciously wants to impress someone attractive, with the way they try to be witty, flirty, banter-y, etc. But I can feel that it's going to help to have this mindset, treating her as another person.
What if a girl doesn't give you enough time to get to know the real you because she wasn't impressed from the start?
Continue interjecting yourself into her life (just a couple minutes at a time to continue getting to know each other without wearing out your welcome). Then when her present relationship falters she'll have you in mind as a potential replacement.
