    be grateful if someone can explain the confusion here, fasting suppose to decrease cancer risk / inflammation, but it increases HGH and IGF-1, which promote cancer / inflammation risk. Thanks in advance

      Ur wrong fasting increases an inhibitor of IGF-1 called IGFBP-1 that keeps it low by 60% so it decrease cancer risk
      Reduces blood glucose which inhibit tumors growth

      Fasting decreases IGF-1, GH is supposed to increase circulating IGF-1 in a fed state

      I believe the situation you are describing would be once cancer has been initiated, and/or is progressing . Under normal physiological conditions these hormones have specific biochemical roles which are not related to cancer promotion.
